 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Taking care for cubs at their age is impressing!" - he turned his muzzle to Bluebell and Sunny. - "Oh, and this kid is just charming! Laughting while sparing, that's the spirit" - he smiled warmly and pointed on little Destiny fighting with other cub. Suddenly smile dissapeared from his muzzle, and he looked back to Wairua. "You see, I had to take over pride recently, after my father died. And while I love my aunties, it would be nice to have more friends my age. I'd be grateful if you allow me to take care for these kids, they may be just what I need to make my pride lively again. “Of course,” Wairua said. She called the three cubs over, and they sat down, looking up at her excitedly. “This lion here is wondering if the three of you would like to join his pride. Would you?” Bluebell and Sunny both nodded, grinning, while Destiny leaped into the air, shouting “Yes!” Wairua let out a chuckle and turned back to the visitor. “Well, they certainly seem excited. I hope you'll be happy with us, if anything happens or you had any troubles you can come to me anytime. But first we should get back home" - He gathered cubs in one spot. Before leaving, he turned back to Wairua for a second. - "Thank you for trusting me with these little ones. I'm sure they will grow into fair lionesses, and I hope other kids from shelter will find homes soon. Goodbye" - he smiled and walked back to kids. Askala timidly entered the Noble adoption center, looking to add a cub to his budding pride. He cursed himself for looking so cowardly, no cub would want to go with such a shy king. I should've sent Usuraki instead! He thought bitterly as he scoured the area for any cub in particular that caught his eye. He met a few, some quite glad to see him while others were a bit turned off by his skittishness. He bent down to see eye-to-eye with a young cub named Cookie. She was a rambunctious spirit, exactly what he needed for a growing pride. Kush would be happy to have a playmate as well. Dew flicked her tail at Red, signaling that she'd take care of this one. She walked over to the king, jumping a little at his skittishness as she approached. She glanced down at cookie, with her head still high in the air. She cleared her throat and settled back down, flicking her tail a little. "Hello, my name is Dew, and this is Cookie. I'm sure she would be glad to join your pride. Right, Cookie?" She said, staring down at the cub. Cookie didn't need to be pushed to answer honestly. "Yes!" A lioness named Leopardspot and an bouncing sunset-colored adol named Royalpaw walk tentatively into the adoption center. Unsure about who to ask, Leopardspot hesitantly says "Hello, my king has sent me to choose an adol. Royalpaw decided to follow me though, and I would also like to pick a playmate for her." Thinking to herself, I hope our king doesn't mind Looking around she sees two adols wrestling with each other. One was a beautiful, spotted grey lioness and the other an adol who looked a lot like Royalpaw. Approaching them, she asks them which shelter they came from and what their names where. Replying, the spotted grey adol said, "I am Asteroid, and I am from Shelter Mtoaji. This is my friend, Aniie, who is from Shelter Noble. Who are you two?" Leopardspot said, "I am Leopardspot and this is Royalpaw. My king Frostfoot sent me here to choose one adol for our pride, but Royalpaw has been looking for a someone to be considered her family, since she was abandoned as a cub. I thought that Aniie was perfect for that, and our king won't mind another adol, since we are a growing family and welcome everyone. Would you two like to join our pride?" Asteroid looked surprised for a moment before letting her face beam, "Really? I would love to!" She looked around to Aniie and nodded, "Just give me a moment to check with my broodmothers." Asteroid dashed off, bumping into Oxyura, who was waddling over to the commotion. "Oxyura!" Asteroid smiled, "Leopardspot and Royalpaw are here to adopt me! With your permission, I'd love to join them." Oxyura chuckled, "Of course, my young lioness. You are all grown up and it is time for you to join your own pride to call home. I will miss you very much and wish you the best in the future." Asteroid's eyes softened and she ran forward to nuzzle the lioness who raised her. "Thank you, for everything," she breathed. Oxyura nodded in understanding, bidding the cub goodbye. Asteroid ran back to the other waiting lions, "Yes!" She purred excitedly, turning to Aniie, "I hope your broodmothers allow you to come too! A lioness trotted into the adoption center, with a familiar face by her side, It was Cobble. She sent Cobble off to find a friend. Cobble landed on one lion is particular. “Hi Heaven!!” Cobble said pleased. The lioness walked up to Heaven giving the lion a pat on the head. “Would you like Heaven to join our pride?” The lioness laughed at Cobbles exitment. “Yes Yes Yes!!!!!” Cobble said bounding in circles. “I would love to join your pride!” Heaven replied, the lioness walked over to the broodmother and asked if she could take Heaven. 0 players like this post! Tambo padded onwards with two sub males, most likely his possible heirs. the Primal male groaned obnoxiously as they walked. Tourmaline slouched and looked around "are we almost there?" the young male huffed. Bismuth looked to his adoptive brother "why can't you quiet down and be grateful for once." the two growled at each other before being separated by Tambo.
