 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Lady Kuzimu entered Elysium Shelter curiously, pawing at the ground. She noticed a young cub crouched in the corner, batting around beetles and playing with his brothers and sisters. She nodded approvingly- an energetic cub, for sure, but trainable. She glanced up at Broodmother Grimm. "Greetings- could I possibly adopt your young cub Kline, if he is not already claimed?" she purred. Mikune wandered into the Elysium shelter after looking around. The king had just lost a few of his lionesses and was looking for a cub or adolescence to fill in the empty space that seemed to be present in his pride. Coming across a white lioness he smiled at her. Admiring the light red jaguar spots on her pelt he chatted with her a bit before asking her for her name and approaching one of the broodmothers. Grimm smiled with delight at the lion that had just approached. "Of course! I am more than happy to let her go with you! Let me go get her" Grimm gestured to the other broodmothers, who were all smiling small, happy smiles at the prospect of another cub finding a new home. Grimm walked off towards a group of older cubs who were frolicking in the grass outside the shelter. When she returned shortly after, a pale adolescent lioness with very light red spots accompanied her. Billy said her goodbyes and Grimm wished her well as she went off to join her new pride. (Adopting a cub from the Elysium shelter) Vale looked around the new addition to the shelters, and looked around at the lively cubs. One of which caught her attention, Kline. The young cub stumbled about, and was watching the cubs play outside of the den with curiosity, it was clear that the cub had been born not too long ago. 3... no, 4 months, Vale concluded by the way the other cubs were greeting Kline. Usually cubs and adolescents would approach newborns carefully and cautiously, but the others seemed to be comfortable with him. It seemed that he was going to be weaned soon. Making her decision, Vale walked up to the broodmother covered in silver jewels. "Hello there! I am Vale, a queen who runs a pride not too far from here, and am interested in adopting Kline. Grimm approached Vale with a slightly apologetic look on her face. "Unfortunately, another pride has already shown an interest in Kline, but I am more than happy to send him off to you (should the other pride not respond to my rp, as they are offline currently) if the other pride isn't available to take him." Grimm looked over her shoulder at the rest of the other cubs.. "There are are cubs that are also available.. Yo-yo has the folded ears mutation.. perhaps he would also suit your pride?" The primal king padded through the territory and looked around curiously. He remembered hearing some of the lionesses in his pride telling him of a territory that gave away cubs and adolescences for free. One of his mistresses actually used to be in one of these territories. Going towards the Nyumbani shelter he immediately noticed a grey, red, and orange pelted adolescence with striped markings. Taking an interest he went over and gave her a small smile before sitting down and making some small talk. Looking around for one of the brood mothers he looked back down at Firework and excused himself as he headed towards Vikela. Bowing his head respectfully towards the lioness he flicked his tail towards the adolescence he was interested in. "I would like to take Firework with me to my pride. Vikela was not normally one to trust another lion with the care of one of the cubs in the shelter, but Firework was an exceptional young lioness, nearly an adult, and had already proven herself to be a strong fighter. “You may take her,” she said. “I’m sure she’ll do well in your pride. 0 players like this post! A young male stepped into the cave. His silver mane was shining. "I came here all by myself, and I have come to ask about making our own cub shelter." A small lioness peeped her head into the cave. "You did not come here by yourself!!! How could you say something like that, Bob Tail!!" She said scolding him, she was a smaller and slightly younger teen. "Stay out of this Alana." He was quite snarky. He then continued. "Our king, has always loved the adoption shelters here and wants to know, can he join you? He has an extra cave, with no use. And he see's some of your shelters have been inactive. He would love to help and make a adoption shelter and work with you!" He exclaimed. "Oh and also." The small lioness said, almost snarling. "He wont keep any males or females past adolescence. He will feed them plenty and play with them." "You can think about it.." Bob Tail said, his ears flicking. Bob Tail returned soon. "I am sorry to disappoint you, but the king has found an interesting project he needs that cave for." Bob Tail dipped his head. A large brown and onyx male padded into the area, he didn't appear to be happy, not at all, then again, that was his usual mood. He had been looking for new cubs since the results he had gotten from his lionesses weren't what he had been looking for, so adoption would do. He explored Nyumbani first, since that was closest. A brown male with black hyena stripes respectfully waited outside the Nyumbani adoption nursery. He loved cubs, and to start a breeding project he was looking for cubs, especially females, with a specific type of marking. He chuckled, watching the cubs play. A black eyed, maizawa furred queen walked the route to the adoption cave. She had left her two cubs at home only to come here and adopt some new blood. Seeing two kings there she calmly waited her turn to go into the adoption cave. That way the cubs wouldn't be bombarded by to many strangers, and that way the broodmothers wouldn't have to many people to attend to at once. 0 players like this post! Like? |
