 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Silvermist padded into the Elysium Shelter and glanced around. Wanting a new selection of lions the primal king had decided to go to the next closest available shelter to adopt a lioness for his pride. Turning to look at the entrance he flicked his tail for his queen to come in after him. The piebald lioness sniffed the air as she padded in and shared a look with Silver before smiling and going to converse with some of the cubs. One of the lionesses seemed go pique Chimera's interest more than the rest and she went back over to her king and whispered something to him. Nodding he went over to Grimm as the piebald queen went to go sit by Bella and gave a soft and friendly closed eyed smile. "Good evening. Me and my queen would like to adopt Bella into our pride." He said twitching his tail towards the adolescent that Chimera was sitting with. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Grimm nodded and smiled cheerfully. "I am more than happy to send her off with you two! Let me go get her and you can all be on your way back to your home" Grimm returned quickly, Bella trotting along behind her, a shy smile on her muzzle. "Thank you for adopting her!" Chimera looked up as the broodmother approached Bella and followed them back to Silver with a smile. "Of course. Every cub deserves a chance to get a good home." The king replied. "You have a nice day and hopefully the rest of your cubs will be adopted in no time." Padding into the Nyumbani shelter the primal male looked around for one of the broodmothers. Behind him stood a black and orange piebald lioness who scanned the den. The king had brought his queen with him to pick up the possible new heir for his pride. Seeing Vikela he approached and bowed his head to her respectfully. "Hello. I was here only a few moons ago. (Itanya shelter) Clea walked into the shelter, with a large grey coloured male next to her. He had similar white patches on his fur like the young queen, and a spiky mane. "Hello!" she said to the broodmother in the shelter. "This is my mate Phoenix, who wanted to come with me to find a cub for our pride." Turning to the male, she asked him if he saw any cubs he liked for their pride. Phoenix smiled gently, and seemed to be a success with many of the cubs. They tugged on his mane, and wandered about his paws. One cub, he seemed to take a particular liking to, and when he walked back, the little cub followed. Nyumbani Shelter Mourning Starr ventured out to one of the shelters in the hopes of adopting another adolescent. Her odd colouration drew many eyes and made her preen under the attention. Approaching the Nyumbani shelter, Starr saw an adolescent male, with very bright eyes and patterned in black and orange with a pale mane. "Hello! He played with her for a while and approached the broodmother and King Sibindi asking if he could adopt her. -Nyumbani Shelter- Padding cautiously into the foreign camp Bakar lets out a low chuff, announcing his arrival and peaceful intent. His eyes adjust to the camp and soon he spots a large amount of cubs and adolescents bundled up together watching him from nearby. The cubs are of all different shapes and sizes and Bakar's eyes flit back and forth over the curious group. A sudden brush against his forepaws sends him reeling back, however, fur spiked like briers. Upon looking down though Bakar realized quickly that it was only a curious small cub who'd been rubbing up to him, thus allowing his fur to lie flat in relief. He heard a slight snickering come from amongst the youngsters and felt his fur grow hot with embarrassment. It wasn't long before Bakar heard pawsteps approaching from nearby, this time turning in preparation so as not to be startled again. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Bakar's tail flicked, shaking off the last remnants of his previous embarrassment. He cleared his throat, "Yes, I am here to find a new member to take into my pride as we are low on hunters and members alike. Although this cub is cute-" Bakar started, gently nudging the small thing away with his paw. "I was hoping more so to take a look at your adolescents". Not a moment after saying that a did a young lioness pad up to to the cub he had just pushed away, attempting to grab its scruff and pull it back to the group. Bakar's eyes softened on the young female. "And what may your name be?" he inquired, addressing the adol. Upon being called out the young lioness gave up her attempt to drag the cub back and instead directed them away with a flick of her tail. "I am Maya!" she said, seeming proud of herself as she puffed her chest and grinned at the King and Khatiba. 0 players like this post! Like? |
