 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

(@0w0 technically since I hadn’t put those cubs in the shelter den yet they aren’t available, although that’s kinda my fault for falling behind lol. The two who are already weaned and ready to send I will transfer to you, but the other four can’t be sent yet. I don’t reserve cubs for people before they are weaned, but you’re welcome to check back in a few days when they’re in the shelter if no one else claims them first. Clea padded into the Nyumbani Shelter and looked around at the cubs. She saw a beautiful adolescent, who she liked immediately, and looked around for the broodmother. “Hello! My pride has not visited for a while, as we have experienced the passing of Firebird.” She looked down sadly for a moment, before carrying on. “May I adopt Mars? A golden and white colored lioness walked into the territory cautiously. She had heard from one of her pride mates that there was a place that was trying to find homes for homeless cubs and had come as soon as she could. The lionesses king, Zawa-san, had traded one of her pride mates only surviving cub away to another pride as a form of declaration of peace between the two. She was heartbroken and Maka wanted to help lift her spirits by finding her a new cub to care for. She had also come in search of an adolescence for one of her other pride mates who had lost their cub over a year ago due to not having a nest and was instead sent out hunting. Glancing around she approached a golden lioness with black markings who wore a leopard skin pelt and jewelry made of teeth. "Sorry to disturb but is this the place where lions can come to adopt cubs who were abandoned or left alone?" She asked hoping she was in the right place. But by the look of all the shelters and broodmothers watching over cubs she figured it was. Never could be too sure though. Out of the corner of her eye the lioness spotted Fang and Rose and couldn't help but fall in love with them immediately. (I am thinking about adopting Natalia from the Mtoaji shelter! A lioness could be spotted walking towards the Mtoaji shelter,her well toned muscles showing through her shimmering fur,soft to the touch,with a wonderfull hazelnut colour as a base and dark stripes banding her limbs and face gently. Memories flooded her mind as she recognized the grounds she used to call temporary home as a young cub. Not much seemed to change from the day she got offered a place in Goud's pride,now led by her own goofball for partner. It was the same smell,the same gentle breeze that trickled through the bushes,the same life of cubs and adolscents playing around. This brung a smile on the pale lioness's muzzle. Only difference was how all of this shrinked together as she was now a full grown adult with a higher viewpoint,and how she remembered seeing this same place much more closer to the ground,when her name still was „little Oka„ It was hard not getting lost in all the memories,but not only did she come to visit,she also hoped she could bring back someone into their pride. There were alot of older lions around afterall,and younger blood would be appreciated. She carried her gaze around the place,seeking after familiar faces,feeling a tang of nervousness form in her stomach when wondering about weither she would get recognized or not,even if it was unlike her to be nervous or anxious over things. (Question,was Rhoduyxura named Rhodonessa before :0? It would be cool for them to meet again and all :0!) She finally spotted the blind lioness,Nera,one of the broodmothers. With slightly bouncing steps she aproached Nera,slightly pressing her dark nose against the others cheeck for a short amount of time,a form of greeting. “Hi Nera,I’m glad to meet you again. I'm not sure if you remember me,but I was one of the cubs in the shelter. Little Oka. Well,now I’m grown,much greater hunter and with a new name. But how have you and Rhodonessa/(Rhoduyuxara?) been doing lately? It has been a while since I visited.” She softly said as she decided to sit down. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Solaris watched the cubs play from afar. One of particular caught her eye, Hugo. Hugo was forgiving a cub who had accidentally made him hit his head on the tree he had sat next to, after running into him while playing tag with the other cubs. She looked to the side and saw one of the broodmothers by a waterfall. She was covered in various pink flowers as she told stories of ancient lions while the cubs listened closely. Rising from her spot, she padded toward the lioness. "Hello. I had dropped by to see the cubs, when the male adolescent with the ebony and white pelt caught my eye. His forgiving nature will surely be a great addition to my pride and is greatly needed in these harsh times. The locust has not made it easy for us, I'm hoping that another addition to the pride will lift everyone's spirits." 0 players like this post! Like? |

A large merlot king walked silently through the savanna, his singing eyes marked with the luster of dawn scanning the horizon. He was on his way to the Mtoaji Shelter, looking for a cub to care for the youngest members of the pride. His dappled mane fluffed out as the laughter and tittering of cubs became louder and louder, allowing his head to peek out from behind the grass. An adolescent, shimmering with markings of nighttime, caught his eye- and the king sat down. "Hello," he chuffed softly to the blind lioness who quickly caught his scent.
