Amaris looked up at Marlene, her gaze falling to the two coffee cups. Thoroughly exhausted, she darted forward, taking one, and downing half in seconds. She looked up sheepishly. Marlene's eyes followed the coffee cup in its travels before they landed on the coyote's face. A smile plucked at the corner of her lips. Cops were so predictable. She paused a moment before answering but not long enough for awkwardness. "Ah, no. I just saw you out here and you looked pretty anxious. Amaris shrugged, keeping her face neutral as she stared at the wall. "I was just doing my job. Nothing more " She said a little too quickly. She picked her coffee back up, taking a sip for an excuse to stop talking. She drummed her fingers against the cup, debating on whether to ask a question or not. She bit her lip, looking at Marlene. Emerald jolted awake. She grabbed her computer and the yellow thumbdrive. She stuck the thumbdrive into the computer,watched the video,and then she slammed her domputer down with a bang. She tugged the thumbdrive out and tossed it in her unfinished bin. Here she was,sleeping,under her desk,watching videos. She was not helping this at all. Beatrice woke up to cold water on her skin. She had fallen asleep in the shower. Again. She stood up, shutting off the shower and walking over to the mirror. "Well, at least I don't have to shower. Dominique picked her head up off the desk, ears flicking as she looked around blearily, blinking slowly. So she had fallen asleep on her desk last night after Beatrice had left. She sat up, stretching and popping her knuckles. She sat back and stared at the wall with a blank expression for a few moments, mentally preparing herself to face the day. I am going to have a hell of a kink in my neck today, aren't I? She groaned loudly, standing up and peering in the mirror, making sure she at least didn't look like she hadn't passed out on her desk. Finding herself at least presentable, she threw open the door, slamming it behind her, letting out a big, toothy yawn as she approached the front desk. ---- Tail flicking lazily, the mountain lion's eyes opened slowly. He leaned forwards, propping himself up on his elbows, looking down at himself. Fell asleep in his uniform. Gonna have to iron these when I get home.
