If there's no such option then you cannot filter out the spam like you claimed in your previous post.
I personally spend the majority of my playtime in TC flipping all possible things - currency, items, lions etc. There's no way for me to ignore those trades without blocking every single person who participates in this "challenge".

But... It is begging because they're essentially implying "give me items that are worth more than what I'm offering so I can get a hybrid for free" is it not?

Begging does not have to be "give me something for free" or "give me this because I'm new"
It can be even something like "someone should buy my trade, I need 500sb"

Support. Clogs up the TC with useless trades that most people don't care about. There's so many of them popping up that it's been extremely annoying. Thanks for suggesting this!

Uhm, actually, there is? You can easily filter this if you are looking for something, let‘s say maybe a hybrid, you search up that hybrid and what you get are trades with hybrids, removing any of that "1 sb to hybrid junk."

No...it isn‘t? As they are offering for a hybrid, if you offer that hybrid, you DO get something in return. It‘s how a trade works.

Technically, it isn't begging by site definition. And that's exactly why people do it. They know they can offer the absolute bare minimum, and ask for higher value items through this loophole. I don't wish to repeat myself, but in the last post I made here, I said it wasn't a challenge at this point. The original paperclip challenge was, as they wanted to see how far they could go with it, likely not expecting to end up with a house (or.. whatever it was he got in the end). I can guarantee you, these people are not doing it for the challenge. They're doing it because it is the most easiest way to get free or higher value stuff with little effort.

We don't want them outright banned; just removed from the TRADING centre and being kept to a challenge forum, like other users are suggesting.

yes, say someone in one of these things gets an item worth enough for a hybrid and someone offers that hybrid. sure, theyre getting something in return, but throughout this entire time the person has been trading things that they didnt pay for or work for at all. all of these items have been essentially given to them, because from the very start they offered 1 sb (because virtually nothing of use on this site is worth 1 sb, you can even check monkey business for that). the very essence of these trades is begging, they are making these trades to hope that someone will offer something worth higher and higher value so that they dont have to actually try.

As I said above: I focus on flipping things and not searching for them one at a time as this would defeat the whole purpose of my playstyle. Like many, I open TC and refresh it a few times every once in a while to see if there are any underpriced trades available.
Since the "1 SB challenges" became popular again I started filtering the TC to include only item trades, but that didn't help at all. At this moment, with the item filter enabled, there are 3 "1 SB challenges" on the first page and 2 of them beg for a specific thing.
Like I mentioned, there is nothing I can do except for blocking. Challenges should stick to chatter.

There are always people trying to find ways to make getting hybrids 'easier'. I remember people wanting sponsors and promising cubs from them, or sharing hybrids, etc etc that ended up getting a rule change because it became cluttered and often messy.

This is another iteration of "look an easy way to get a hybrid" loophole. It's annoying, history repeats itself. It's the newest "heres how I'll get a hybrid with the lowest possible effort and I'll make everyone else do the hard stuff for me". It relies on someone being kind enough to offer a little more than what an item is worth.

It's just annoying. We've done this tango before, people got annoyed, the rules got changed. Sure, some people could argue that it's not begging, but it's definitely spam at this point.

If you have a problem with certain trades. Start reporting those trades. Stop causing an issue. If the trades are reproted enough, then eventually something will be done about them. But until that happens and Lioden finds a rule break in this, they will do nothing, no matter how many supports.

@shadow the whole point of suggestions are to suggest things. nobody is causing an issue they are voicing their opinions. if you just report things mods cant do anything, until there is a rule in place. thats why this thread is up.
