we are all here because we dislike it, and even so this idea itself just isn't justifiable, nor realistic in any way, shape or form.

And there have been plenty of good arguments against it, and moderators would never agree to something this absurd, even if people complained about it a lot. it's a game, people want to have fun and there are those few bad people who manipulate, but that doesn't mean all of the trades have a bad intention. I believe this idea came over from the game 'AnimalJam' as it was popular over there around 5 years ago, and *still* is very popular. it's just a challenge that players want to do to entertain themselves, and anything offered, is offered WILLINGLY so it counts as a fair trade, and is mutually agreed on by you, and the host when you place an offer on the sale.

To me it's really more about the funny guys and the fact that it's a "challenge"—me and it seems like others agree that the "challenge" doesn't really belong on trading center. You start to get into sticky territory when you start to think about minimums and if it would even be effective, sure. I don't really have any ideas how to go about this; I'm just three rats in a trenchcoat who collectively decided to like pink pixel lions. I supported somewhere in the beginning and now I'm here

I mean, there is a simple way to keep them under control - as you noticed, it's some sort of challenge and not a real trade offer (and all of those trades clearly state this fact). It's not about the quality or quantity of stuff in that trade. Many of them link chatter posts which further explain the "fun". There's nothing stopping them from keeping forums activities to the actual forums in the first place.

Just like proof trades, they should fall into bullet point 1.22 of CoC and I'm shocked they already don't. It's ridiculous that we have to closely watch our language to not use any form of the word "free" in our advertisements (even if we do include extras compared to other stuff of that price) but others get to flood the TC with mild begging and forums games.

And yes, this is begging even if it's difficult to classify in the site rules. Y'all literally want expensive mutations for 1 SB and see no shame in mentioning that in your 'trade' titles.

1sh to hybrid challenge simply just means they're going to improve and develop their trades to the point theyll be selling a hybrid. It's not actually begging in any way, because that's like saying all the trades in tc are begging, which you'd disagree with even though that's the scale you're looking at then you say they're all a form of begging, especially when they're not and punishing people who want to help the community by doing this is going to make people leave lioden. This joke trend will die down in a few weeks, as new members and veterans will start to leave again as usual and our TC will go back to normal again, it's just simple patience. I feel annoyed by them too but I cant support banning a part of lioden that's literally what is keeping it alive right now.

I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about?
Trading isn't begging, unlike "1 SB for hybrid challenge". It's begging for higher value stuff by definition. They never trade for items of equal value, they want more than whatever they're offering.
I also don't see how this challenge helps the community. I'd argue it does the opposite as you can see from the amount of supports in this thread. Also, no one is going to quit over this, lmao. Just because YOU decided to give away whatever you end up with doesn't mean the remaining 99% will follow your lead.
This is not the first time TC has been flooded by this kind of 'trades'. Even if it disappears now, as it did in the past, someone will bring it back within the next few months. We need a permanent solution.
This is definitely not something that keeps lioden alive and you know it. It's annoying as hell and there's no way to hide that spam without blocking dozens of players.

I'll say it again, I really doubt any of them will ever get to a hybrid. It's a stupid crazy jump in value, unless they just want a frozen which is still 30x their starting point. So this is just sort of a waste of time and effort, and an incredibly annoying one at that.

If they really want a hybrid, they can work for it. Hybrids REALLY aren't this super elusive high-value item some people complain they are. This month isn't the worst place to start

I also don't think it's keeping the community alive. Again from the supports, and me and my friend are being actively discouraged from interacting with TC like we normally do because it's a pain in the ass. I'm sure we're not the only ones. Honestly if people are gonna quit bc they can't make their funnies and play their games in trading center, a place literally meant for trading — that's really their problem. I don't think that would kill the site, unlike changing the hunting system to be Wolvden's which everyone I've talked to has said would make them quit, or nerfing every breeding item in the game, which would make hundreds of people furious. This probably wouldn't be no mass exodus, and I don't see a rule making trading center,, trading center,, leading to worse and worse things. If course the big guys gotta consider what gets them the most money, but

We have to get into what's a joke and what's not, but I don't necessarily know if that's our issue.

Iirc "paperclip trades" are usually banned in most games and I don't see why they wouldn't be here.

Most paperclip trades are, as underlined in this thread, veiled begging, which this game has a gigantic problem with.
