Moonlit Dove | Memory Lane

She doesn't want to be here, why won't Moogly just let Coy kill her? She tries again and again to anger the king and finally be removed from this hellhole of rot and despair, but every time Moogly steps between her and her freedom. She watches as Moogly takes hit after hit and still finds the strength to crawl over and make sure she's alright. Dove hates her for this, but she snuggles and shows her gratitude nonetheless. And then she tries again, and again, and again for days and weeks and months. She watches as other cubs are chosen by kings, queens, and rogues. Sees them even return sometimes for cubs of their own, telling Moogly stories of their new lives. And yet, she remains. Over and over again, she is ignored and left to die with Moogly. And yet, Moogly still smiles and tells jokes and tends to the cubs. Despite not even being able to stand most days from the pain and infections that spread through her body.

"Let me die..." She mutters aloud, eyes fluttering behind her shut lids as she huffs and twitches.

Cloudjumper | Sunbaked

She cries out when her ruined eye is touched, scrambling away from the pain. She wants to tell them it hurts, but she doesn't know how. Every time she tries to speak, only odd noises that sound foreign to even her spill forth. Her good eye begins to leak as she sniffles and cries.


Tiptail | Sunbaked

He hopes they didn't mean to hurt her, "S-Sorry!" He squeaks, voice like a mouse, "Please, please don't p-punish her!" His voice shakes almost as much as his body, but his teeth have finally stopped clacking together.

She laughs again, a snort filled noise that's always funnier than whatever joke she may have told first. "Whattareya gonna do about it, hmm?" She smiles up at Shy as she taunts her.

Domino|Sunbaked

He shakes his head. Hushing the weeping cub. " Oh.. I'm sorry- I won't touch your eye anymore alright?" He promsises before looking to the other cub with a raised brow.

" Hm. Odd. Don't worry my boy- I'm not going to hurt her. In fact these herbs will help her and you" he explains- patting his head.

He blinks at Jesters words- looking behind him at the queen before his grin grew eerily wide. He rushes to her, grabbing her by the scruff and tossing her up onto the table , pushing the cubs to the side. He giggles manically to her- before grabbing a few of his tools.

" OhHHH You're ILL! Which means I have to look you over!" She laughs- making her growl. He swats at him speaking in a low tone.

" I'm fine. You weirdo. What's wrong with you??" She remarks- trying to get off the table- only to be pushed down by the healer.

" You'll have to excuse me! I always get excited when working on patients that I hold a certain fondness too!" He laughs- his eyes seem almost nervous as he starts to dry her off with a cloth. She sighs- huffing as she lets him do his thing.

He feels his eye twitch at the circlet in her hair. " Ugly thing!" He remarks- quickly cutting it out of her head with a sharp rock.

She snarls- having her fur cut rather harshly. Her bangs now look choppy. She snarls at him, looming over his shorter form.

He giggles- not breaking her gaze. " Oh! My bad.. my queen.." He murmurs- twisting his paws together and flushing with a wide grin.

She rolls her eyes getting off of the table.

" Forget this. I don't get sick. " She grumbles- stomping out and back to the royal enclave with a new haircut.

Shy|Lunar

She rolls her eyes. Smiling still. She sighs shaking her head. She runs her paw through the fur on her head calmly. " Whatever I please." She purrs with a small glint in her eyes.

Cloudjumper | Sunbaked

She tries to tell Domino that it's okay and she knows he didn't mean it, it's just that it hurts to even blink on that side and she's sorry she upset him. She gets frustrated when the words don't come, but is quickly distracted as she and her brother are shoved to the side.


Tiptail | Sunbaked

He's confused about why they are being helped. "It's, it's true then?" His shivers are dying down, "Coy-" He winces when the name causes Cloudjumper to jump and cry anew. She can't remember much, but she knows somehow that that name is pure evil.

"That...he, he isn't here anymore?" Tiptail finally finishes with wide eyes.


Zu | Lunar

She blushes through her smile before suddenly flipping so she is on top of Shy, "But what if I wanna do stuff too?" She sways a bit, that dopey grin still plastered on her muzzle as she giggles.


Moonlit Dove | Sunbaked

Despite the fact that the Other Den cubs had been fed properly for the first time in their lives, Dove is still mainly skin and bones. It's as if she has been refusing to eat this entire time.

Jester|Dove

She lifts her easily, bringing her to the Healer's den. By now she is completely soaked, her paws cut up from the cave. She violently shivers as she sets Dove down "Talus, Domino? Got one more for you."

Talus

Talus stands, taking Dove from her and laying her on the table "Looks like maybe two. Are you ok, Jester?"

Robber and Nimble are currently chasing each other around.

He giggles- looking back to them with an odd grin. " I know! But did you see how close she was to tearing my face off my hide??" He reminsses fondly- sighing.

" Gods. Can you imagine those long fangs ripping out your windpipe?? Or those giant paws grasping through your frail pathetic chest and clasping onto your pathetic miserable heart?!? Still bleeding!? STILL BEATING!?!" He rambles- putting his paws to his head and laughing- soon biting his lip through a smile till he bleeds.

He then clears his throat. As if nothing had happened. He wipes the small river of blood from his chin. And starts to fuss over Robber a bit more while the white lioness tends to the cubs.

" On it!" He chirps- seemingly in an even better mood than normal.

He takes the new lioness and lies her down on the table like a long slab of meat. Humming as he feeds her some dream root so he could patch up her nasty wounds without her having to be awake for it. He see's her thin form and decides to tube feed her some grounded up food and herbs. Before stepping away so she could wake up.

Hyena|Sunbaked

When she returned- she saw Shadow Blossom sleeping along side the cubs and smiled faintly. She made her way over to the sickly green pool- looking at her reflection in it. She frowns. Great. She looked even more scruffy than she usualy did.

She sighs- looking around the den.

It was odd to not feel a pit in her stomach when she was here now. She just felt love instead.

Hyena|Sunbaked

The primal miss sniffles- watching as the rain pours down outside. She sighs- running her paw through the choppy fur that now sat on her head. Despite the harsh way it'd been removed- Hyena couldn't help but smile at the fact that it was gone at last.

She sighs- running her paw down from her head to her cheek before letting it rest on the floor again.

She wondered how this rain would help the pride. She wondered if it could ever be like Coy once described. Lush and green. He seemed to always fondly recall the past state of it. Confused as to why when he became king it had stopped. But she knew why. She knew damn well.

She lets herself breathe. Somehow even when he wasn't here she was still enraged with him. It wasn't worth it.

Domino|Sunbaked

The male hums. Having moved the two cubs and one younger lioness over to the same ward as Harbinger and Talus. Covering both with a blanket and making sure their body temperature was stable before leaving to check up on the bird.

He nods to himself- they'd be fine. They just would have to take a bit of time before flying again. He found it strange to find this type of bird out here though.. The most this place had was seemingly vultures.

He looks down- seeing a pissed off bongo holding out his swaddled daughter. Domino purrs- taking off of his hands.

" Thank you friend. " He smiles before padding into a more private section of the med den. Where he had set up a nest. He un-swaddles the young lioness. Who promptly- darts to the corner of the room, her small frame expanding and shrinking with each breath. Domino clicks his tongue. It was odd she hadn't spoken yet- she seemed around 6 months old.

He lowered his body to the ground as he spoke, his face warm and kind.

" Hello Nayla! I'm going to be your father! Isn't that exciting?" He grins.

" FUCK YOU" She snaps back. Her voice was oddly soft and meek despite the words coming out of them. Domino's eyes widened at her sudden protest, snickering a bit.

" Come now! I'm no enemy! I simply wish to take care of you!" He reassures her. Nayla's ears pin- as her form gets smaller.

" I don't trust you... you're gonna hurt me.. hurt me! Or be mean to me! Like Dove an-and the guards! And Coy!" She snarls, coughing slightly.

The healer feels his gaze soften. Something hurt inside him at her words. Was this love? How painful. Surely it could be cured.

He holds out his paw before speaking.

" I swear. I will never let you get hurt again." He speaks- for once, his face isn't plastered in a happy grin. But a more sympathetic frown.

Seeing this- Nayla relaxes slightly- padding up and pushing her cheek against his paw with a broken purr. Domino could feel her heart twisting in his chest. He let her be soothed by his touch, until she grew tired and rested her small body over both of his paws.
