Lady Hadleigh|Double Den

The lioness was currently resting in her den- her face stern and frustrated. Time and time again she had had to chase after Aneesha. Even now as she was older it still seemed to be the case. She didn't care what the new king and his advisor had told her. Girls with such mutations were to be protected as they always had been.

Coy would have never let this happen. She yearned for that time again- the time when useless cubs were tossed aside and eaten like the waste they were. She missed the old king ever so much. If that witch hadn't killed him things would be perfect.

Yet here she was- stuck under their paw. In due time she supposed. For now she just wanted all her ducks in a row.

She swirled her ears towards the entrance of the now lush cave when she heard the chatter of her girls. Her thin boney frame rose from the nest she laid in and prowled over to the entrance.

Jade, the white lioness from before- smiled proudly as she shoved Aneesha forward towards the stern lioness.

" Thank you.. Jade. You girls are dismissed." She remarks- the chatter and giggle as they walk away, Jade smirking towards Aneesha before going out of view.

The older lioness peered to Aneesha with distaste- looking her over.

" If I recall correctly.. I told you not to wander beyond the broodmothers den." She hisses coldly- her lips curling.

Aneesha | Double Den

As Aneesha followed the other girls and hearing their snickering remarks her mood only turned sourer for each comment, not even looking up when they arrived at the double den and sat patiently with her posture slouched after almost falling from jade's shove. When the girls left she followed them with her eyes before traveling back to meet Hadleigh's furious ones.


"I-i know but I just wanted to see outside and explore lady Hadleigh, the brood mother's den is just next to us so there's no space for me to even see the sun without going over the border," muttered Aneesha as she spoke in a soft tone, picking out the little pieces of dirt that clung onto her silver white coat and mane.

"I didn't mean to anger you, I just wanted to see outside." she slightly whined at the end as her heart raced with anxiety at Hadleigh's bared teeth eye back onto the floor.

Lady Hadleigh| Double den

In the past- she may have struck the young miss.. but nowadays that wouldn't fly below Harbingers radar. The quivering fool. She sighs- running a paw down her face.

" Nee. We've had this conversation more than a million times! " She scolds her- circling to her back and nudging her into the den.

" The other girls listen. Why don't you? You know where your borders lie in this pride!" She growls- drawing it out on the ground.

" There's plenty for you to see. Look- Here's the den, and out here- in the center of the pride is your first border to the north. The healers den to your left. The thicket of trees south- and lastly.. the broodmothers den to the east!" She hisses, stomping out the map in anger- dust floating in a cloud around them.

" That's how it is.. and will ALWAYS be. Even now I can see your denmates. " She points out, gesturing towards the three who were grooming one another in a pile on the rim of their invisible borders.

" I don't understand what more you could need! All your life you've been pampered.. tended to, protected. And this is the thanks I get? The other Double Den mothers get?!"

She snarls- sighing and pinching the bridge of her nose. She takes a moment and looks back to Aneesha- her eyes round and pleading. Despite her cold and harsh attitude she truly only cared for her girls.. Seeing them as prizes if anything.

She pulls Aneesha into herself, starting to groom down her dirty fur between sentences.

" If I could be youthful again... I'd do it in a heartbeat. You squander your gift my dear.. You have something that not many have." She reminds, her tongue yanking on her thick mane slightly.

" Coy would have adored to see you now.." She sighs wistfully. A lioness with two mutations.. A mane and a double uterus. You're a rarity.. A gem! You mustn't mingle with those beneath your status.." She grumbles, clearly having a bit of favoritism towards the silver miss.

" So. Why would you ever want to? When you could be doted on like the treasure you are?" She coo's- petting her head.

Aneesha | Double Den

She kept her head low ever so slightly wincing at Hadleigh's scolding and flinched when she shouted at her, feeling guilty. Hadleigh had the right to be mad at her Aneesha thought, fully being able to throw her out and never care for her when her mother died and her father abandoned her at the entrance of their den.



Aneesha did wince when Hadleigh's tongue pulled at her fur too roughly, her skin sensitive to the pain but said nothing to not anger Hadleigh further. When Hadleigh mentioned coy she rejected and downed the feelings of disgust, remembering jades whispers as to what coy would have done to her if she was older and he wasn't six feet below the ground.



She leaned forward and closer to Hadleigh when she started to show affection towards her, a rare sight to see when the lioness was angry.



"I know lady Hadleigh, I'm sorry for leaving it was my mistake. I'll never leave again." Aneesha softly said as she leaned more into the older female knowing full well she would do anything to see panya again, eyes traveling towards the outside of the double den as she looked past Hadleigh's fur before snuggling back into the lioness.

Lady Hadleigh|Double den

She didn't trust her words. Of course- but for now she'd play along. She continued to hold her as she spoke.

" Atta girl. Besides.. We have to find you a suitor soon!" She informs her excitedly.

" The other girls have been looking over their options - and there's still plenty of young boys who'd love to be your mate! But I do have a couple picked out. " She chuckles- standing up at the sound of the other girls coming back into the den- all giggling and whispering behind their paws.

" Jade? Girls? How did it go?" She asks- seemingly leaving Aneesha out of the loop.

Jade swoons slightly as she speaks

" Shujaa is so dreamy Lady Hadleigh! But Sky is so sweet as well! " She squeals- the other young lioness's nodding along and agreeing.

" Well I'm glad your first meeting went well. " She hums, helping them into their nests. As she does- she narrows her eyes at the sight of a brown mouse scampering out of the den. She slams her heavy paw onto its fragile frame, making it squeak in agony before dying. She sneers as she tosses it out of the den.

" Well. Aneesha, I have somebody I want you to meet. Girls? Behave yourselves." She reminds the group who respond in unison.

" Yes lady Hadleigh!"

The lilith lioness starts to guide the way out of the den, not speaking much as her eyes search for something.

Aneesha | Double Den

Aneesha groaned in her head when the word suitor came out of lady Hadleigh's mouth keeping a tight-lipped smile on her muzzle as she stayed where she sat playing with the tuffs on her tail.

Aneesha had hated almost every suitor lady Hadleigh had shown her, most either stuck up and rude or just not what she was looking for but shed go on every date lady Hadleigh would throw at her.


The overpriced presents, the constant flirting, or the shows of "strength" always instantly made her dislike them. Throughout her life, Aneesha had been pampered and preened, adorned with the best of things, and she'd had enough of it just wanting something more sincere. She doesn't want expensive gifts; she doesn't want to be bought. Aneesha has everything she would ever want but she just wants someone to be there for her, to make her feel safe and secure.


The thought of having to go through another one of those horrible dates with the full knowledge that the suitors wouldn't be the one made her frown but dropped when hearing the squeaks of a little mouse.


Looking to where the mouse was scampering Aneesha instantly brought her paw out to coax the animal to come towards her but was pulled back when it neared lady Hadleigh. The sickening crunch of its bones breaking and the noise of its final squeak made Aneesha instantly queasy as she thought of panya and his pets, hoping they were safe.


When lady Hadleigh called to her she stood from her place at the back of the cave Aneesha diligently followed, stepping over the mouse's dead body. Going to lady Hadleigh's side Aneesha stood up straight, shoulders back and head straight just like how lady Hadleigh taught her as they searched for her new suitor with only one boy in her mind.

Lady Hadleigh|Afyasi

She hums a small joyful tune as they arrive at a small grove on the edge of camp. Inside there was a rather buff looking smilus male. Not much older than Aneesha. He stood up with a wide smile and a proud chest, dipping his head to the two of them.

Lady Hadleigh chuffs in response. She leans over to Aneesha.

" At least TRY to seem enthused with this one? I'm running out of options here."

She sneers to her- agitated by her indecisiveness. She had shown her plenty of suitors- to no avail. She hoped that this one would be a winner.

" This is Havrick. He's a rather special boy, you know."

She chuckles as the large male prowls towards the two of him. His body was a deep shade of black- his eyes a vibrant yellow, his mane seemingly bone white. Most of the young she's in the pride knew him. He was known for being highly sought after due to his dark persona and troublesome attitude. He peered down to Aneesha, a purr rising from his throat as he took her paw.

" It's a honor miss Aneesha.."

He coos, nudging his nose to the top of it. In truth, he didn't care much for such things. He preferred to fight- or kill stragglers on the outside of the pride. But he did ever so love his image. And having such a prized lioness by his side would be perfect. He could see it now, coming home to a doting mate after a long hunt. They'd snuggle up together in one of the nests and she'd tend to him and praise his mighty form and beautiful face. It'd be perfect. It had to be.

" Havrick is one of our pride's most promising warriors! I'll leave you two to chat.. I'll come get you in an hour. Have fun!"

She chirps to Aneesha- soon leaving the area.
Havrick blinks- unsure what to say. He flicks an ear before speaking.

" So. You wanna see me crush this rock in my mouth? Or groom my mane?"

He offers, often letting the other young she's in the pride watch and do the same. He was certain she'd love it.

Aneesha | Afyasi

"I'll try my best," Aneesha whispered back as she smiled to show her pearly whites as her eyes took her paw out of Havick's as she discretely wipes away the area his nosed touched her. "It's not my fault they're all brutes." Aneesha thought as Lady Hadleigh left her with Havick, eyes trailing after her form as she screamed in her head to come back and take her away.


Her eyes trailed up and down his "mighty" form taking in the details. Aneesha did have to admit Havick was...nice looking. But she could partly see through him, his attitude and ego as big as an elephant but still she had to play along.


"I would love to see you crush rock in that...very strong jaw of yours. Are there any other hobbies you do?" Aneesha cringed at her compliment as she waited to walk with him.

Havrick|Afyasi

He grins- ignoring her other question and quickly shoving a rather sizable rock in his jaw. It takes a moment but he does manage to crumble it. He awkwardly spits out the pieces with a cough- trying not to choke on a little bit that had been flung to the back of his throat.

He wipes the dribble from his maw. Smiling to her proudly, only recalling her question after a minute.

“ Uh- other hobbies? Oh! I like hunting! Me and my boys took down a whole gazelle the other day.” He boasts, pushing back his mane.

“ But honestly I did most of the work.” He laughs- peering at his claws.

“ What about you? I bet your into some really girly shit hm? Do you like to do your claws or talk about boys?” He jokes slightly- seemingly mocking her a bit.

Aneesha | Afyasi

She covers her mouth with her to conceal her laugh as she watched Havick choke out pieces of the rock from his throat, concealing it as a cough. Aneesha's smile faltered a bit when hearing Havick's great hunting trip, feeling bad for the rest of the male adols that joined him that most likely did all the work.


"Oh that sounds so wonderful Havick," Aneesha said as she plastered on another smile hating how big his ego was already. But his comment is what really took the cake, laughing along with his joke before lightly shaking her head.

Maybe he'd be nicer and less...him if she knew her a little more, maybe have something in common and actually get along. Shed always tries to see the better of things and people, wanting to focus on the brighter side rather than the lesser side.



"No, not exactly, I don't really talk with any other lionesses or adols," except panya she thought, shaking her head to focus. "But I do enjoy exploring around the pride and taking in scents to memorize them. I also like little mice, they are one of my favorites," she spoke fondly of the little mice, thinking about the ones back at the bit as she missed their company already.

Havrick|Afyasi

He sneers- lip curling at her comment. " You like rats? Gross. "

He scoffs- expecting better of her. He can't help but be reminded of Panya at the thought. How funny it was to watch him hiccup and sob as he crushed his little pests under his paws while his buddies held him down. He would have invited Aneesha to watch.. but he'd take into account that she liked the little freaks and spare her the event. She'd surely come around.

" It's fine though- I don't mind if you have a few flaws. I'll help you iron them out!" He chuckles, patting her head patronizingly. Shaking his paw a bit when he accidently tore out a small tuft of her mane.

" Ah shit- sorry." He chuckles nervously. That thing around her neck was rather unsightly- but he was sure he could fix that as well.. one day.

" Anyways! You wanna go for a walk? My buddies would love to meet you!" He invites, honestly just wanting to hang out with them instead of her for now. And help ease the tension.

Aneesha | Afyasi

"I-its alright it's my mistake," Aneesha winched as small little tears pooled in her eyes when he accidentally pulled her mane. Blinking them away she continued, "any way um they're rather intelligent a-and even though their very tiny they are almost as smart as us. I've seen them around the pride, they have knowledge of making homes to combat the weather and elemant-."


She stopped talking when she heard his invitation to meet his friends, upset that he wasn't listening to her and rather was ignoring her. Hesitantly she nodded her head to meet them, following along to his left side as her mood drooped argumenting within her head about how panya would listen to her and be interested in her hobbies. But then again she thought this was most likely her last suitor, all the others she already turned down and while she didn't mind finding a partner she wanted it to be out of love, not for appearance or for the 'future of the better generation' as lady Hadleigh puts it.


"It would be an honor to meet them, such good friends of yours must be..amazing," Aneesha muttered as she tried her best to sound happy, actually wanting to go back to panya and the mice. Hell, even the double den she wouldn't mind escaping to, was better than faking being a little den-wife to-be.


(lol its great, kinda reminds me of gaston from beauty and the beast. also ima go and get the chicken wire rn since the tractor supply store nearby is a bit away and i don't wanna get it in the dark)

Panya|Afyasi

He was currently cowering in his den as a few rogue males prowled around the edge of the old pit. They chatted to themselves, talking rather loudly.

" Gods. When's Havrick gonna get here with his new chick?"

One grumbles, another pounces on him- the two starting to wrestle. The third one in the group rolls his eyes, grooming himself off to the side. He seems to be a normal lion, unlike his friends who were primals. He was rather put together and sleek, his coat having a dull brown color to it.

" When are you two gonna grow up?"

He snaps at them, growing tired of their playing. The two look at him- each holding one of the others limb in their mouths. They grumble- untangling themselves from one another.

" Since when did you become such a buzzkill?"

" Since I found my precious Jade. That's when. We're not cubs any more you fools. We're men now. We need to act like it. No more fooling around."

He grumbles- sitting up. He narrows his eyes as he sees Havrick on the horizon with Aneesha. He snarls at his friends, making them scamper upright.

However it's all for naught as the minute Havrick see's his buddies he darts ahead of Aneesha with a wide grin- slamming himself into the other two to roughhouse. The brown lion slaps a paw to his face, aggravated.

He clears his throat- Havrick looks at him and flushes.

" A-Ah.. Right. This is my new girl Aneesha! Ain't she pretty?" He boasts to his friends who don't seem all too impressed with the she.

" Yeah. If you like gals with manes bigger than your own."

He snickers over to his brother, only stopping when The brown lion growls at them.

" Pardon them. They're idiots. "

He speaks over to Aneesha, feeling somewhat bad for the girl. He leaps off his perch and dips his head to greet her.

" I'm Imperial. But I go by Imp. "

He dully finishes- glaring to the other three. Havrick seems bothered- but the other two sheepishly introduce themselves.

" I'm Grime- and this is my brother Twig." One of the two explains- they seemed to be twins. Havrick yawns- rather bored.

" What are you guys doing at the rat pit anyhow?" He chuckles to his friends. Grime smirks, grabbing a rock and launching it down into the pit. When it strikes the ground Panya can be heard whimpering from his cave. The boys seem to burst into cruel laughter. All apart from Imp who simply scoffs.

" Hey! You wanna go at it lil lady? He's real fun to mess with." Twig offers to Aneesha, holding out a pebble for her.

Havrick looks at her expectantly- really hoping she wouldn't embarrass him.
