If you are a previous commissioner who wants their beetle book or a different dynasty tab hidden to keep it a nice even 4 tabs just let me know. I won't charge for that adjustment since it only takes a second to fix.

Can I edit the final CSS file?
Under most circumstances, no. I do not edit other's work, and I ask the same level of respect be shown to mine.

Do you do HTML/Forum commissions?
No, this is a CSS commission thread exclusively. HTML commissions are not nearly as fun to do, so I only make free to use templates in my spare time when I find a good image I like. I have them all listed on my free CSS and HTML site.

Will you do custom cursors?
No, I will not. It goes against my ethics as a Web Developer to ever include custom cursors in any of my layouts. They are horrendous for accessibility.

If a custom cursor is in place, any personal customization a person makes to their cursor on their computer will be overridden. This can cause obvious issues in that if someone needs to make their own cursor bigger or add other effects to make it easier for themselves to see it and browse the web, it will only make things difficult for them if they go to your page.

Accessibility is my number one priority when making layouts. This is also why I make it a point to keep contrast high on the layouts I code and I always do my best to make sure everything on the page is easily readable.

What do you mean by border style?
Border style is in reference to whether or not you'd like there to be borders on any elements on the page. For example, the defaults on the site are that the biggest part of your layout is borderless, and a thin border around the tables, such as your king's stats and around the lions listed in caves.

Borders can be solid, dashed, dotted, double, and a couple of other possibilities (of which you can find here). They can also have rounded corners, though it doesn't work well with some border types (such as inset) due to the way they're structured.

Can you do LD bgs?
Yes, though I don't recommend using them for layouts backgrounds because the original images are so much smaller than what I would see as suitable for a bg. They work very well for cave and mound images, though.

Can you make den boxes visible on mobile?
Yes I can! In fact, I have them set to visible by default on all of my layouts.

Can you do a theme based off of just an image or theme? (as in full artistic liberty)
I can absolutely do that for you and I'd be happy to! As long as the image is free for use, or the theme something I can work with, I'd be happy to handle the rest. I love having the freedom to play with layouts because CSS is super fun for me.

Of course, once the layout has been made, you can ask for any adjustments you'd like from there, just as you would with any other CSS commissions I do.

Do you have a discord for communicating with people on LD?
No, I do not, nor do I ever intend to make one. The only discord account I have right now is for fandom stuff that I'd rather keep separate from my LD stuff, and making a new account is annoying lol. Please don't ask me to make one. :)

Can you use GIFs? (and by extension fandom content)
Technically, yes, though there are some complications. Locating credible free to use GIFs can be a sticky situation, but as long as they are clearly labeled as free for use, then in most cases, that would be fine.

I do not allow the use of GIFs as every image on the page as that can be very disorienting, with the exception of very subtle GIFs (such as a static landscape but it's raining/snowing).

I also strictly cannot use anything from any anime, manga, TV show, movie, or any other form of media entertainment. My work would not classify as fair use, and therefore the use of images from any of these places would be considered a violation and illegal to make a profit off of, and I will outright refuse to do so.

If you have fanart from a piece of media that you created yourself, however, then that is a separate matter and totally fine.

Things I Will Not Do/Change
I've decided to make this section for smaller details I've been asked about and things I anticipate I may be asked about. This is a bit of a glimpse into my personal style guide, I suppose. These are things that I will not argue on. If your desired layout hinges on any of these, I'd recommend just going to someone else.

If any exceptions are/have been made, then there was a specific purpose behind it or limited criteria. Questions regarding the criteria I am happy to answer.

• Animations such as fireflies or falling snow or anything else in that vein - the only reason I won't is because it relies on code I did not write and that I do not host, so there's no guarantee it would stay working forever. I don't want to give anyone anything that I'm not 100% sure will stay there and I don't love the idea of putting someone else's work as a part of something I'm being paid for. You can absolutely add it in yourself on your own, but I will not add that for you.

• Main Scrollbar - I make minor changes to the chat and comment box scrollbars since they're used much less often, but the main scrollbar is something that I, and I'm sure many other players, click on fairly often so I prefer to keep it at browser default for the maximum ease of use.

• Chat/Comment Box Scrollbar Background Color - I always keep it white to keep the visibility high on the page. It's hard to use a scrollbar if you can't see it or where the slider is.

• Player Icons - I always leave these at their default shape to allow for the most flexibility on your end. I know I'd be annoyed if I were locked into a circle or some other shape, so I find it better to give you the option to use whatever shape of image you'd like to convey a certain look.

• Font Size - With the exception of a large header font being chosen and causing overflow issues in things such as the navbar, I will not change font sizes. The default font sizes already work very well across many screen sizes, so if a font looks very small or is hard to read at the default size, I will just recommend switching to a better suited font instead. This goes especially for the text that says your king's den. I will not make it bigger.

• Clan Images - I won't alter/apply filters to the banners of clans listed on your page.

• Transparent/Translucent Elements - I won't lower the opacity of any of the elements on your page aside from the background color of the main part of the page. This is for readability purposes.

• Box Toppers - I don't like working with them. Simple as that. They're just a pain lol

lol you're all good you can ask for whatever pics you'd like (within tos ofc lmao) though I'd recommend looking through unsplash since their stuff is free to use (except the unsplash+ stuff but those are marked) and specifically filtering the orientation to landscape to find ones best suited to use as bgs and the cave photos though I will warn you if you are wanting custom cave photos on your acc most of your cave slots are unused so I wouldn't be able to target them individually like I can with caves that have already been created and if you wanted different ones for each one I would have to put placeholder code into the file and change it at a later date once the caves are created (which I would be happy to do just wanted to make sure you knew beforehand) but if you want them all to be the same image that I can definitely do

yes, but using the order form I listed in the post within that replay is highly preferred. it'll help keep the information organized in a way that's easier for me to work off of. you can just copy and paste it from the post. also fonts are best as links like with the images so it's easier for me to save them

that payment will be perfect! funny enough, I had that bg image saved on my computer already bc I was planning to use it as the cave images on one of my free layouts that I hadn't had the time to code yet so I'm glad to get to use it somewhere! it's a very pretty picture
