Eregia and a maine coon named,Tymon,stumbled upon the good territory. The tigon explored the area carefully,her yellow orbs examining the area. Tymon stayed beside Eregia,his fluffy tail bushing up against her side. ‘We have to be more careful this time. Guards may spot us again.’ Eregia said,in a rather quiet tone,her eyes now wide. Quickly,she grabbed Tymon’s skull mask and placed it on the feline. Were guards coming? Eregia and Tymon climbed up onto a tree and rested on a branch big enough for two. They stared down at the nature’s floor,waiting for a guard to pass. Perhaps they should wait a bit.


Lynx stomped out of his den and into the clearing. He stood tall. ‘Lions and Lioness around,I shall travel to the Good Territory on this day. Since my oldest son isn’t here to take my place,I’ll need someone to take my place until I come back.’ Lynx stated,flicking his stub. While lions argue whom is going to take Lynx’s place,he exited the clearing and entered an area where guards were ready. ‘We’re ready to travel,your highness.’ One guard said,bowing before standing back up. Lynx didn’t say a word. Flicking his stub,him and five guards exited off the territory. The Good Queen better take this the easy way.

Ophelia sat off by her by herself, mulling over everything that had happened in such a short span of time. It was still hard for her to believe that her sister and a few of her cubs were currently staying with them, seeking refuge from the tyrant that was Dark's mate. Even though she was not on the best of terms with her rather eccentric little sister, with everything that was goin on between their two prides, she would be going against her own principals if she had turned her away durring her plea for help, or worse, sent her back to the primal brute. Her tail lashed at the thought of Lynx and her mood turned dark.
No matter how many messengers the primal king sent demanding the return of Darker Light and her cubs, she would continue to ignore and send them off without a response. Lynx would get her sister back only over her dead body.
A chill of foreboding traveled down her spine at the thought.
Shaking off the feeling, she gave the ruffled fur of her chest a few steady licks and rose to her paws. Her emerald green gaze searched around the clearing they currently called home, her expression determined. If a fight was what was coming to their doorstep, then she would be sure every last lion was prepared for it.

Taka was back at the evil camp, his face, devoid of any emotion, was set in a stony expression. When he had returned from his session at his personal tree of rage, he had been devastated to learn what all had happened while he had been away for such a short while. He blamed himself, as he should never have left them alone, no matter how much his emotions got the better of him. He ridiculed and hated himself for what he felt he had allowed to happen, but he despised Lynx for having done it.
He wanted to after his mother and siblings, for he knew that were with his aunt and uncle, but he didn't want to leave Lynx alone, wanting be privy to everything his father was plotting, and so he stayed, biding his time. Waiting for a chance...

Currently sulking under a tree, Vivi simply tried to stay out of everyone's way. The normally energetic and expressive adolescent had been uncharacteristically quiet and subdued. With good reason of course. Her idol, the one she looked up to the most, was gone, and who knew when she would be back, if at all. To make it worse both Xena and Amir, the only others in her age group, didn't seem to be around either. She wondered if they had gone with Darker Light as well. Whatever the reason, she was decidedly unhappy about it.

After guards were done patrolling the area,Eregia carefully jumped back down on the nature’s floor. Tymon followed behind as the tigon explored a bit more. She perked her ears,an odd scent was hitting her nose. She looked around,her eyes narrowed and fur bristled. Tymon puffed out his pelt,,trying to look better. Soon,a giant lion called a primal appeared in front of the two,with guards following behind. Eregia stared up at the primal. What does she even do? She cowered down,clearly she was frightened. The primal could tell,her fear scent filled the air and so did Tymon’s. Eregia opened her maw and tried to get a word out,but nothing came out.

Lynx stared down at tigon,his eyes narrowed. ‘and who are you? You ain’t one of those Good Guards. Their bright armor could’ve been seen miles away . The tigon tried to speak but couldn’t. Lynx digged his long claws in the earth’s floor as he examined the two,his ears flicking. Suddenly he bared his teeth. ‘They’re spies! Bring them with us. They must’ve been heading to our territory.’ Lynx stated,pushing the tigon aside to his guards. The guards took ahold of the two. While doing so,Lynx continued his trail to the Good Pride. The Good Queen was trying to spy on his pride? Lynx growled at the thought.

Eregia hissed slightly as the guards took ahold of her. What could she do? She couldn’t fight that well,especially with five taller lions around her. Tymon yowled and was swiping at the lions. The guards growled,trying to grab the Maine Coon. Tymon wasn’t going down without a fight. He glanced over at Eregia who shook her head,she knew they couldn’t do anything. Soon,Tymon lowered his head and the guards took them both along. Eregia sighed. What were they about to be dragged into?

‘If it’s not one thing, it’s another…’

Frustration rolled off Hercuperion’s form as he reflected on everything that had seemly rolled out of control - like a dung ball down a wet hill - after Dark departure with her cubs and now the latest news from one of his mate’s swiftest messengers as he and three of their top guards finished up patrolling after returning from speaking to ally prides in the east. Luckily, the issue with Inora had been taken care of quickly with the aid of Sangoma Tefnut's teachings and his pride’s healers were able to get the drugged adolescent to hidden cave where his pride grew their supply of red blossoms - Life’s Return (Thought it sounded better) - and she was making wonderful progress after three nights sleeping among the blossoms.

Gods above - Anubis’s warning was coming true, but that didn’t mean that they were just going to take such threats from mate-beating buzzard shit like Lynx without a fight. Underestimating his pride for their moral code was something that happened far too often, but the Good King could coolly admit it did have its advantages - especially on the battlefield.

‘After all…’ The King thought to himself as he separated from the squad to return to his Queen and speak to their “guests/charges(?)”. ‘There's a big difference between a Lion and a Lion Pelt, but let's see if your skin is even good enough to make into a rug.’

If Lynx wanted war then he better be prepared to back it up... But first, it was time to speak to his Queen and her sister about some strategy.

(I was thinking that numbers would really help with the Good Pride being able to intimidate Lynx’s forces, which is why Hercuperion is contacting the local prides belonging to his and Ophelia’s allies - Lynx has a hot temper, but it would basically be suicide for him to try to lead a bunch of semi-loyal lions into a fight against those odds.)

(I was also thinking about Hercuperion’s plan about moving the pride possibly into the desert. He grew up in the desert after all and knows more about anything hidden - an Oasis perhaps or the temples? - there that could help and even provide a good and solid home for his pride and the desert acting as an ultimate defense. The desert was all he knew before Dark and Ophelia’s Mother’s Pride took him in as an adolescent after his own mom died up until he escaped for Anubis’s temple when the earthquakes started happening - tying in the Rise of Serpent event into the lore.)
