Amir's draconid hues would trail over to his older sister as she began speaking. She didn't even have to speak without the young prince noticing that she had grown irritated with him. It hadn't been what he was striving to do so when his sister's lips pulled back to reveal a snarl, Amir had to resist the urge to flinch. She had revealed those large, primal canines. The ones she had inherited from their father. It drove a painful memory into him, especially as she towered over him still. Maybe, in a few months Amir would finally either be the same height or taller than her. But for now, she still had a few inches on him. His ears would pin back at her harsh tone. It seemed that out of all the siblings, Rika'ni was the most similar to their father's primal being, simply because of the lengthy teeth peeking out from her lips.

Prince Amir would remain quiet as he was scolded by his sister. No words came out of him, the only sign that he was listening was the occasional flick of his left ear. His gaze was fixated on the ground, refusing to look at his sister for her sudden familiarity in appearance to their father. While Amir would never compare the lioness his sister was to their brute of their father, sometimes, it was hard not to. As his sister tentatively complimented his actions, his gaze would return back to her face only to flinch slightly as she extended a paw towards him. A huff of relief would escape him as it was a simple pat on the head.

There was a thoughtful look behind his typically stoic eyes, taking in the words that his sister had spoken to him. He watched her leave, tail flicking to the side. It was an odd relationship, the one all his siblings had with one another. There was a mutual respect that Amir had with most of them. Xena, simply because she was his littermate. Rika'ni because, he too, could relate to her in some level. With Taka on the other hand? Not so much. In Amir's youthful eyes, there was nothing in common the two shared other than being the male heirs to the pride. That was it, no other similarity.

The moment of silence was broken as he was suddenly forced into a run by his mother pushing him along. Him and his littermate were in a den by one of the local streams. His brows furrowed and he begrudgingly stopped. "What are you doing?" He grumbled to his mother, ears pinning back to his head as soon as he heard his father's roar once again. His mother ran out and Amir scowled immediately. "That lioness is going to drive me insane. Seriously, we had it all handled and she goes and tosses more wood to the flame.." Amir hissed, shaking his head as he rubbed his face with a paw.

There was nothing Amir could do but wonder what his two parents were discussing about. Or more accurately, arguing about. And very loudly. His ears would pin back. He could hear himself breathing, accelerating to a rapid rate. There were roars of rage but he didn't hear any of pain. All he could think about were the words of his oldest sister ringing through his head. He resisted every urge to run into the clearing, to attack his father and to potentially end everything right then and there, whether it be with his father's death or his own. However, as much as he hated to admit it, Taka had sacrificed his own well being to keep Amir safe. And while Amir was often described as a fool or an idiot, he knew that too.

It wasn't until his father entered the den that Amir broke out of his prison full of thoughts. He looked at him, eyes widening ever so slightly. They would be in exile. Temporarily but it was still exile. It took many lionesses to bring down a simple prey. Now, their mother would be stuck with two half-trained adolescents. It would be a difficult path to face. He opened his mouth to argue with his father but quickly shut it, so quickly that he ended up burying his teeth into his tongue. Blood peaked from the side of his lip. No, he had to stop being so foolish about his actions. Or else Taka wouldn't see him as an equal and Rika'ni would be left disappointed. He wasn't there to please them, however, if it was all of his siblings against their father, he needed some kind of alliance with them.

The world grew cold when he saw Xena run forwards, almost as if she was in slow motion. His heart dropped, an uneasy feeling roamed his stomach. "Xena, no!" His voice would crack, watching as his sister leaped on their primal father. "Shit-" He would run after her, grabbing her by the scruff and throwing her down. From the pull, he was sure Xena had ripped some fur from their father's back. "What is wrong with you?! Are you stupid? Mother can handle herself, do you really think you can do anything?!" It was hypocritical of him, he had tried to defend her too. "Our older siblings did their damn best to fix the situation, just as they always do. Because of me. Now, you're going to ruin it too, Xena!" It was true, Amir was nothing but a hypocrite. However, he didn't want his littermate to also become a punching bag for their father. He would wear that title, proudly if need be, if it meant that his sister wouldn't have to linger with wounds caused by those large teeth.

However, in doing that, his father threw her in a pin almost immediately and looked down upon her. His heart dropped once more. What did he do? He was sure his sister was crushing under such a gruesome weight of a male, weight that was doubled by the hefty size of such a brute. "She won't do it again! We're sorry just get off her, you'll suffocate her!" There was fear in his voice. Amir didn't dare admit it but he was positive his father could hear it, could smell it. "We'll leave immediately, we'll give you no trouble!"
