I’m level 26 and even the level 1 area enemies are a challenge. It’s such a pain. I wonder if the goal was to get players to spend more SB or even real money on boosts to defeat the enemies for the event

Honestly I'm kinda bitter about the shrine passage addition. The idea is fun, and I like seeing the lore being built upon, but at this point it's just a pain in the ass. The new quests feel borderline impossible to beat, and trying to skip past them eats so much SB. The shop isn't worth it either at this point (although I'm sure it'll improve in coming years), and since there aren't any additional rewards, it's just making the event harder and more frustrating.

Same. At least the Anubis ones are easier for my main, but Bast's new quests are a pain in the ass, even when it's the same damn quest as what Anubis asks me to do

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this I've missed out on a ton of quest's because I haven't been getting the encounters I need even trying to skip all the unnecessary encounters I eat through so much energy its ridicules. I'm lucky if I get the battle buddy to help during Serpent encounters even in level 1 areas, I use to enjoy this event as I loved the lore and the Egyptian god aspect of it but know I don't enjoy even doing the quest's try to get the currency as it's a slog fest.

I like this month’s event, but boy do I wish the apps were 300 each instead of 400, or the beetle drops a bit more generous.
I’ve completed quests on both accounts pretty much every day, so I’ve really been enjoying all that extra XP, but as far as I can tell, the new quests seem to have just made things harder. Especially as they dilute the challenge pool so you are less likely to get the snake killing quests now.

I've been looking for a thread like this exactly! I remember the event from last year and it seemed nowhere near this grindy when I last played it. In fact I remember having a decent amount of fun fighting the snakes and everything, but now it seems to me that not only does the deity you're supposed to be fighting alongside not show up most of the time, it's as if the fights are harder on their own, too, and I lose at least half of them. It almost feels to me like it was geared for you to be fighting alongside the deity all the time, but then it never shows up so you're on your own against these boosted enemies. And that's not even mentioning how expensive all the items in the shop are. It's kind of sad that the only way you can reliably get stuff is by grinding relentlessly.

I have been grinding so hard and yet I only have enough KB to buy one base or buy the decorations I want. Even with all my hard work I still don't have many at all. The last few events were not this hard, I had could buy the decorations I wanted and a base if there was one. Now I have to choose. The store prices seriously need to drop.

I definitely think the June event this year is significantly more difficult. I joined lioden February of last year, and the June 2022 event was quite honest my favorite event, and I was able to buy 2 bases, plus a bunch of other decor. Idk if the drops were better last year or if there were more opportunities to get KB or what, but it’s really strange. I literally win every single snake battle/encounter and im still nowhere near where I was last year.

For numbers, last year I got around 1,000-1,200 KB I think, as I was able to buy 2 bases that were 400 each (among other things), and still had around 200 KB left that carried over to this year. Meanwhile this year, INCLUDING the 200 KB that carried over, I’ve only managed to scrape up 446 beetles (meaning in 19 days this year I was only able to gain 246-ish beetles…) And the month is almost over. I have no idea what they did, but they need to either make the apps less expensive, like how they do for other events where getting currency is harder, or they need to go back to how it was last year where the number of KB you could get was substantially higher.

I really don’t know what they did to cause this discrepancy between the KB obtained in the last June event vs this one. I mean, so far for me it’s a loss of about 800 KB if not more. And it stands to mention, I’m playing just as often if not more often this year than I was last year, so inactivity is definitely not playing a row, and if anything my numbers should be higher than they were. Also, the new quests are absurdly difficult, at least for Bast, for almost no reward.

I can’t imagine how it must feel for those who want both bases and decor, as for me the only decor I like is in the Snake shop. I feel for anyone who’s having to make that choice right now, as it seems there are many of you in the thread.

I grinded a ton for this event and yet only managed to get enough KB to buy one base Applicator. I can't get any of the decorations I really really wanted to get, there just wasn't any way I could have both.

I agree, I've got lots of free time, I'm grinding non stop and I've only made 203 Chaos Scales and only 627 KB and I've calculated all that I want up and the amount of KB I need is around 3000

I've been grinding alot and Ive made some KB back after it all but I know it isn't enough to get all I want. This event being so hard is surprising, the last few events were way easier.

This event is absolutely harder than it's been in past years; it was the first event I participated in when I first started playing in 2018, and it holds a special place in my heart, so it's sad to see that its all grind with very little reward </3 i understand that pretty much every other event is grinding, but i definitely recall this one not being /this/ difficult to get currency in

It’s definitely helped since they increased the chances of encountering stuff for the newer quests. I’ve found it much easier to complete those quests now.
I can’t work out if maybe they’ve made the slithering minions a little easier easier too or if I’ve just got better at fighting them, as I’ve definitely been winning more often recently.
Would still love to see the cost of apps lowered a little for next year or the currency drop tweaked up a bit though! There’s so many pretty base apps for this event but it’s hard to get many of them, let alone collect one of each or get multiples of your favourites.
Maybe the daily quest reward could be bumped to 15/20 beetles if app costs need to stay the same? Or slithering minions could drop 3 beetles instead of 2 to make them more rewarding to defeat?

Yeah, at this point I think the balance between currency gain and price rates is the biggest issue (and honestly that's always been the case for this event).
There are other events where you get so much currency you barely know how to spend it, where you can easily buy up 20+ apps and still have more than enough to buy backgrounds and decor. Meanwhile, this event I'm only now getting close to being able to buy my 4th app, having only bought the new backgrounds and nothing else.
