Got a KB in explore on my side, from an encounter with my deity showing me a scarab rolling dung. Has that always been there, or is that new for this year? It would be nice if it was a little more...frequent...

You need to beat 200 snakes for one (1) applicator.
Last year, Ra had abysmally low pass rates for a lot of breeders. There's barely over 1k on site, which, considering the population boom, is wacky.

TBH the apps are prohibitively expensive. The fact that we have 3-4 days where we can't earn any KB and don't earn rewards for doing the essence quests is really bad when you factor in how much apps cost. The snakes are difficult for even high stat players to beat most of the time considering LD's miss ratio in combat is wild. On top of that, the absolutely ludicrous amount of shops you have to earn a single currency for is WACKY.

These issues are compounded by how many apps you need to buy to breed the combo bases due to low pass rate.

TBH this entire event needs a re-work. The apps should cost no more than 250 KB - that's 100 more than the next highest cost item. The first 3 days should be earnable or at the least give rewards to make up for it. The cultists need their EXP payouts scaled to lion level - getting 50 EXP is pointless for anyone past level 5.

And on top of it all, three (3) battle-focused events in a row is exhausting.

May is also a battle-focused event. And after June, here comes July with another event with very difficult encounters that they needed to write an entire guide for players on how to beat them.

Isn't Snake Scent working with this event?
The Murphy quest tells me to slay elephants so I applied one but the whole energy bar in explore brought not one elephant.... never had this before.

I WISH this event was good for leveling, but it's not, because you get such a piss poor amount of XP battling in the low level zones with a lion that should be well north of there. Plus, if you're focusing exclusively on snakes because you only have so much energy to spare a day and really need KB, you're not doing any fighting in higher level zones where you actually earn ~0.5-1% XP per battle like usual. If you're grinding KB religiously, you have to sacrifice the major reward battling normally provides. Plus, you're certainly skipping normal enemies you might battle in a month that isn't so grindy, like last month you could if you were not trying to get extra apps to sell later.

If you're OK with just the guaranteed 10 KB you get for finishing any quest at all, you can at least battle some normal enemies sometimes in your actual explore level to compensate a bit for how little battling you're doing. I did that in year 1... apparently over both my accounts I killed about 400 snakes, and was able to buy an app and decor, with 600 left over. Of course, there was only one app to buy. Now there's a zillion. :`) but I like progressing through explore zones at a decent clip so I don't think I'll change what I do. It's just going to take me a ridiculous amount of time to cross all the June bases off my own-all-bases-at-least-once list.

I can’t remember where but I heard you’re guaranteed to get a battle buddy with every fight if you pick Seth? I picked him on my side for the base but if that’s actually the case then it would be an added bonus. It’s a shame we can’t transfer EC between accounts though :/
