Makes me a little sad that this event seems to be harder than prior years. I started just over a week ago, and I love the aesthetic of everything so, so much. I'll be able to get a base, but that might be about it for me.

Reading this now makes me worried for it this year. This may I focused on the decor since the price for scrots was stupidly high. It’s my first time playing the June event but as far as I can remember based off the wiki there’s no breeding items that I really want. So it’s looking like the third month in a row where it’s just a decor event for me

I keep hearing how much grindier this event has gotten I only played the very first year of it before going on hiatus. I bought the app that year I didn't get from the storyline, a bunch of decor, and between my two accounts wound up with 600 KB left over... I remember snakes were tough, but not worse than year-round bosses, and the deities reliably did their thing in battle, so it wasn't too bad at all. Reaaaally hoping the price of the old bases are finally brought down or the difficulty of obtaining currency is adjusted because I have missed out on getting so many through the storylines I am not even going to pretend I can buy more than like, two. It's hard to enjoy months when the currency is rough to get. March and August are tough too, but that's mostly because the mini game is the devil, at least explore is fair... December, though, if you're not on all day you suffer, and that's what it sounds like June is now.

I just used two full energy bars and wasn't able to kill at least one snake, even when following the guide advices.
My lion is level 13.
Is it like this all days? Because, if so, it's frustrating.

Try exploring in the lowest level zone. You should have higher stats than the snakes there, which doesn't decrease how hard they hit (unfortunately) but does seem to increase the odds they'll miss, and decrease the odds you'll miss.
...However, it's stated in the wiki that the degree to which stats improve those odds in your favor tapers off after 500, and that's definitely how the game behaves. I have 1300+ stats, a snake in zone 1 still has a good shot at kicking my ass because they're so OP. I guess I'll have to decide once the gods are in play if I want to start using lucky feet on the battles that will actually drop KB if it looks like I'm gonna lose. I usually save those for the bosses in October, but :|

Well so far I’ve only lost a handful of fights out of the thirty or so that I’ve fought throughout all the level things in explore. I’m not sure what it was like last year but to me it’s seeming pretty easy? Although my mate is struggling with their 1k and 600 stat lions

I defeat snakes relatively well, so they're definitely not super overpowered.

Its VERY important to remember, always explore only in Zone 1 Temperate Savannah!
Regardless of your stats, the enemies' difficulty IS affected by the zone and your level. The more levels you are above the zone, the easier the fights will be.
If you're for example Level 7, then regardless of your stats Tropical Forest will have powerful enemies that will be stronger than your lion often, but in Temperate Savannah they will be weaker.

Khepri Beetles arent enabled on the snakes yet though! They will be once Chapter 2 is unlocked. Currently they only drop scales that you can later spend in Snake shop.
