Welcome to River’s Edge Lion RP!The rules are simple:1. Be kind 2. Follow all Lioden rules 3. No “God” mode (your lions are not invincible) 4. Chat with others if you want to gravely injure someone or kill off another character 5. Fade to black for anything “inappropriate” 6. Have fun! I would like to go off of Lioden events to bring the game in so that includes Lioden lore! |

Lyla | 3 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Mud and Astraios She shook her head slightly, “It doesn’t matter where we are, I choose to believe that anyone should have a chance. And if they are a threat, that’s when you take action against that. But never mind all that! What I’m more concerned about is those scratches!” She gently licked some of the blood away and grabbed a clump of herbs from her satchel. Without asking, she pressed the herbs into the gash on Mud’s back causing the lion to wince. “I’m sorry, I forgot to warn you, but this will help the cut clot so you don’t lose so much blood.” She looked to the male in the distance. “So what should we do about him? He didn’t seem like much of a threat before, but now he has a little more reason to attack. I doubt he would though.” 0 players like this post! Like? |

Mud | 4 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Lyla & Astraios Mud's head still hung low in shame for how she had acted, not even letting the poor male speak! As Lyla put a bundle of herbs on her scratches she winced, pain running through her but quickly stopping after that. She was thankful for the help and for not being completely scolded by the other lioness, so she muttered a little 'thank you'. As the other lioness stared of into the distance, so did she. Although the male had behaved disrespectful, so did she and so maybe, only maybe, he deserved another chance. Of course she'd have to apologise for her behaviour, which would hurt her pride a little but that's what had to be done. "I'll find him and apologise, that way he shouldn't attack later. And if he does, I'm more than ready to fight back." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lyla | 3 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Mud and Astraios Lyla let out a soft chuckle. “Together.” She bumped her new friend with her shoulders. “That way if he does attack, there are two of us. And maybe…” she trailed off, “maybe I should be the one to approach him first.” She looked off in the direction he ran. “He might have gone to a patch of trees that way to escape the heat.” With that, she began to walk off in that direction. “Hopefully his ego is hurt more than anything.” 0 players like this post! Mud | 4 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Lyla & Astraios Mud smiled at Lyla, who was still so positive after the fight had just happened. She nodded at Lylas idea that she should go first. Astraios would probably not be so happy to see her again. Mud walked with her for a while until she thought she was far enough away that he wouldn't see her but that she would still hear if Lyla needed help. "I'll wait here. If you need help, shout as loud as you can and I'll come." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lyla | 3 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Mud and Astraios She smiled at Mud, “I’ll be the loudest!” With that she walked a little farther and the male came into sight. She tried not to approach him quickly and stopped some distance away. “Hey. I’m sorry about what happened. I’d like to start over. I’m Lyla and the other lioness is Mud. There haven’t been very many lions in this area in a while, especially not any males.” She sat, still keeping her distance. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Astraios | 2-3 yrs | bisexual | under a lil ol' tree c: | mention : Lyla He was annoyed and frustrated, just as they couldnt understand his behavior, he couldnt understand theirs. He had thought he came across friendly, but clearly not friendly enough. He was unsure, and it confused him quite a bit. As time passed, he had calmed himself down. His tail continued to flick at a much slower pace and overall he was much more relaxed. He spent his left time licking his paws until the lioness approached him. He sort of tensed up, as his tail picked up the pace. He didnt look up nor at her, just continued to lick his paws, as if pretending like she wasnt there or he had just not heard her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Mud | 4yrs | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Lyla & Astraios The brown lioness chuckled as Lyla said that she would be the loudest. The other lioness started to walk off and was soon out of sight. Mud tensed up. It would be better for Astraios to keep his claws in, otherwise she wasn't sure if he would see the next morning. Her claws were out, digging into the soil she tried to keep calm until Lyla shouted. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Lyla | 3 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Mud and Astraios She stepped closer and spoke a little louder this time. “I’m sorry for what happened Astraios. I can see that you don’t want to be bothered, but I would like for all of us to have a reintroduction if you would like to join us. I’ll be going now.” She lingered another moment before walking back in the direction she had come from. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Astraios | 2-3 yrs | bisexual | under a lil ol' tree c: | mention : Lyla / mud He didn't look up till she walked off. Watching as she left, he thought it over. He didn't fully care that she had apologized, since it wasn't her who pounced him originally. But it was understandable. He was a male, and he didn't always get the best greetings because of it, clearly.... He was used to it by now, and an apology was better than nothing. Maybe he would join them later, for a proper meetings. It's not like he had anyone else. No pride is a hard life, a life he was quite frankly sick of. . It was clear they were not going to automatically chase him out, so he was in no rush. He let out a loose yawn, as he rested his head down still looking in the direction Lyla walked off. He wanted to meet them, but didnt know how. Maybe they will but-heads once again, or he'd run into them later...this time not literally, but until then he knew he wanted to take a nap. As he stared into where the lioness walked off, he slowly fell asleep, resting for a bit. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Mud | 4yrs | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Lyla & Astraios As Lyla came back she quickly ran over to her. Almost like a cub she asked what he had said, it had all been quiet so there hadn't been any fighting, still she checked if there were any new wounds on Lyla. Luckily for astraios it didn't look like she'd been attacked. "Do you think i can go and apologise? I wouldn't want him to run off because I made a mistake. Honestly I want to say sorry, can I go see him?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lyla | 3 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Mud and Astraios Chuckling again she shook her head. “Don’t worry, he didn’t hurt me. He didn’t even acknowledge me. From what I could tell he wasn’t hurt too badly, but his spirits were definitely dampened!” She listened to her friend wanting to apologize but shook her head no again. “Maybe going up to him empty handed wouldn’t be a great idea. We could go for a hunt and bring back some food as an apology for him?” He seemed like he was completely alone and she knew what that was like. “Even strange lions should never have to be alone.” 0 players like this post! Mud | 4yrs | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Lyla & Astraios Mud sighted in relief that Lyla wasn't hurt. As she proposed the idea of giving him some piece of prey, she agreed that it would be easier to apologize that way. So she trotted along lyla until she could smell a scent of prey. "Is that deer?" She whispered to Lyla, hoping not to scare what it was. Mud wasn't used to this smell and has only encountered it once or twice. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lyla | 3 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Mud and Astraios She lifted her nose to the wind. The scent flowed in as the evening wind picked up. Mud was correct. “Smells like a herd of deer that have moved in recently.” She looked up to the sky, “The sun is beginning to set, which is great for us with this heat, but with darkness comes the hyenas. They can be ruthless, so keep an ear out for them.” The two padded in the direction of the deer getting close enough to see them, but still out of ear shot. Mud eyed the herd and nodded at a doe with a calf. “That one.” she spoke with confidence. “Good pick!” Lyla smiled, “Does almost never leave their young behind so that will slow her down a little.” The winds were picking up and could change direction at any time so that had to be quick. Both lions crouched and spoke in a whisper now. “If we can split them from the herd let’s drive them East. There is a ditch connected to a hill before the river so we may be able to catch her there.” They discussed some more logistics and vegans to creep closer. Lyla pushed forward and Mud to the left. They were able to get pretty close before the herd’s heads shot up. “Damn!” Lyla muttered and she flicked her tail signaling Mud. The hunt was on! The herd took off in a group, and as they expected, the doe and calf were slower than most. The two lions pressed in, Mud created some space between their target and the herd cutting her off from its protection. They raced on, still a little slower than the deer. The ditch was getting closer so it was about time for the catch. The deer leapt forward, but tripped a little slowing her down. Yes! Lyla leapt forward to make the kill, but was met with a swift kick to the jaw. Luckily Mud was right behind her and tackled the doe, bringing her to the ground. She was swift and before she could make the kill Lyla stepped in, “Wait! Just one second.” She looked the deer in the eyes, “Thank you for your great sacrifice. You will sustain us and your calf will be left unharmed.” She nodded at Mud who made the final kill. Lyla looked in the direction of the calf and took off, chasing it back in the direction of the herd. A calf would not be much of a meal and it was old enough now to be without its mother. She chased it back until she could see the herd and let it go. She smiled. Hopefully the young one would make it to adulthood. She padded back to Mud. “That-“ she was a little out of breath, “that was some great hunting out there!” 0 players like this post! Like? |

Mud | 4yrs | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Lyla Mud was panting with the now limb body between her teeth. It had been a bit strange to her how Lyla had directly thanked the deer before she killed it, but none the less it seemed very respectful of her. Although she didn't understand it, maybe she should try thanking the prey too. When Lyla walked back over to her she let the prey fall and ran her tongue over her bloody mouth. "You are right... that was an amazing hunt!" She smiled at the other lioness and picked the prey back up, signifying Lyla to take the lead to wherever she should bring this deer. (So short, sorry about that <3) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lyla | 3 years | Bi | Den area | Mentions: Mud and Astraios She smiled at Mud. “We’ll take it back to my den.” She looked up at the setting sun, “With the sun going down the hyenas will be more active so it’s better that we take shelter. We’ll save a leg for the other lion. Maybe he’ll accept the apology.” She snickered, “If not, we have an extra leg to eat. The two padded off in the direction of Lyla’s den. As they were walking Lyla looked back at Mud, “I can take a turn if it’s too heavy.” ((Sorry I fell off the face of the Earth!)) 0 players like this post! Like? |
