Dahlia hadn’t gotten to run or play like that in a long time. She panted softly, her earlier distaste towards him disappearing. She came to a stop, her tongue flopping out the side of her muzzle. She lightly wagged her tail and turned to look at him. "Nowhere in particular, pet. Did I ever get your name?" She asked, thoroughly shaking out her fur.

Juno stopped beside her his tail swaying lightly as he still looked very calm and relaxed, almost elegant when he was standing there like that. He held his posture well and his mostly white fur sure stuck out from the surroundings. "I believe we were far too preoccupied previously to get to the point of exchanging names," he said smiling slightly as she saw her panting already. For him that kind of little exercise had barely even classified as a warmup.

"I'm Juno," he then introduced himself to her looking at the dark female. "May I inquire your name, miss?" he then asked with a charming polite smile.

As Juno stopped beside her she busied herself lapping up water from a shallow puddle. She nodded slightly in response to his words, sitting down once her thirst was atleast partially satisfied.

"Dahlia, The royal wonder." Dahlia giggled softly, putting on a fake pompous accent as she spoke. She was kidding around, flicking her fluffy black tail. "Thank you for accompanying me out here. At first I wasn’t expecting you to actually chase after me, or leave your fence."

Juno chuckled softly as he sat down too. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, lady Dahlia," he said half jokingly pretending to bow at her. "You're welcome," he then said, "Though, I cannot stay for too long," he added glancing back towards his home. However, for now the male just looked around taking in the surroundings. He had never actually been in this part of the town as there had never been any reason for his owner to be in here.

"Well, thrilled to meet you as well, Sir Juno." Dahlia chuckled softly, shaking her head at the male. "Bah.. come on. It isn’t very far from your home. Been here before? There’s actually something I want to show you. It’s cool, prettiest thing a stray.. or a pet I guess.. will ever see!" She didn’t wait for an answer, rising to her paws. She turned away and padded off, pausing to look over her shoulder at him.

Juno sighed, but chose to follow her anyway. He would check out this something she wanted to show to him and then return back home. He should be able to get back just before the sports game would end. The male trotted after her taking in the new scents around him.

Dahlia’s nose was close to the ground as she walked, before speeding up a bit and climbing up a few crates. "This is the coolest place ever, okay?" She called, hopping up onto a roof once she reached the tallest crate. She didn’t look back at him, her gaze on a giant clock tower infront of her. The arm of the clock ticked to the right, then the bell inside rang out. She wagged her tail, gazing down at the street vendors. "The lights are coming!" It seemed as if the entire street lit up. Christmas lights, streetlights and more.

Juno followed her to the place she had found looking around. He had never been in a place like this before. He stood still as a ghost next to her looking at all those lights being lit up. "Beautiful..." he said with a soft smile. "Do you come here often?" Juno then asked curiously. It must be nice to be your own master and do whatever you wanted at any given time. It was so different from his usual days where he just followed whatever schedule his owner had.

"Every night, pet.. I mean.. Sir Juno." Dahlia corrected herself on her own, licking her lips as she looked out at all the lights. "Happens when the bell rings. I love it. Never gets old. What do you do for fun? Y’know.. other than following your owner around." She asked curiously, glancing over at him with both of her floppy ears perked.

"Hmm.... Sometimes my owner takes me to hunt or to the race course," he said wagging his tail happily. "I'm actually thinking we'd be going in few days, I have heard him talking about it with his group of friends," he said. "Other than that I don't do much, well, apart from the walks around the neighborhood of course. Sometimes he takes me with him on a car and we'll explore a forest or the countryside," he told her. "What do you usually do?" Juno asked looking at Dahlia.

The dark colored female listened to him speak, her eyes focused on him. "That seems interesting. Fun, maybe. Do you ever get bored with all that? Doing a bit of the same stuff everyday." She closed her eyes about halfway, looking out at the city again. "When I’m not trying to find my next meal, I explore. I come back every night though, you have to if you want to sleep in the same spot. Sometimes you’ll need to fight, sometimes you won’t. But exploring is great. Get to see the whole city. The bad parts, and the good."

"It can be a little boring at times," Juno agreed, "But if you know of other way of living, you get used to it, I guess," he said admiring the lights a little longer before he glanced back towards his home once again. "I'm afraid that I must get back. My owner will start looking for me soon. It was nice to talk to you, miss Dahlia and thank you for showing me this place," Juno said smiling to her before he turned around to trot quickly back towards his home before his owner would notice that he had been gone in the first place.

"I suppose that makes sense." Dahlia seemed a little disappointed at the fact he was leaving. "Perhaps next time I’ll take you on a little adventure with me." She dipped her head, offering a polite smile as he trotted off. She sighed and got to her paws, shaking out her fur before sliding down and bouncing on the crates. She padded off in another direction, heading towards her own home.

As Juno returned home, he could instantly tell that something was off. His owner wasn't inside anymore, but staring at him rather harshly at the door. "And where might you have been, Juno?" his owner asked his voice stern and full of authority. Juno pulled his ears back trying to appear smaller than he was as his owner opened the door making sure that he got inside first before he locked it. "No playtime tomorrow," the man said referring to the race course running that Juno loved. The Borzoi whined a little, but eventually went to lay on his dog bed when it was clear that he wouldn't be getting any attention on that evening. With a sigh the male laid his head down glancing at his owner every now and then.

Dahlia lazily padded along, but moved a bit faster when she caught wind of an odd scent. She growled lowly, barking at a pair of smaller dogs. Seemingly of the terrier variety. They were sniffing around her home. She bared her teeth, her hackles raised as she approached. They seemed to want to fight back, barking and yapping at her. The black female was undeterred. She had them beat with size, and wasn’t backing down. They eventually gaze up and ran off. Dahlia sighed and crawled underneath the house, into her home. It was warm underneath her, albeit a bit damp. She laid down on a worn out blanket, falling asleep rather quickly.
