Community UpdateAside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!
Official Lioden RaffleLINK - This is our official community update raffle. Everyone gets a chance to win a rare prize, plus something extra for any runner ups. Poll Update: Raffle Lioness SystemThe Google Forms poll regarding the raffle lioness system has now concluded. Thank you all for submitting your feedback! We have gone through the results and removed any instances of an account submitting multiple responses. We have compiled the results into bar graphs for each question, showing how many players voted for a specific rating for each question. As a reminder, selecting the rating of 1 for a question meant you did not like the idea being proposed, while selecting the rating of 10 for a question meant that you really liked the idea being proposed. Below, you can find images of the bar graphs, with the question and results translated into text in a spoiler beneath each image. Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that we may not be adding all of these options. This poll was intended to act as a survey to get a feel for the community's preferences. We'll be discussing which ones we will actually implement among our team next week.
Art Bug Fixes* Fixed the Cultist Tailwrap decors not showing up on Adult Males * Fixed Mark of the Abyss and Mark of the Elysium decors not showing up on Adult Males * Fixed new eye colours missing for a few mutation stages (Leopon and Tigon cubs, Lethals) * Fixed Phantom Rosette not displaying for all mutations Coding Bug Fixes & Adjustments* Edited the item descriptions for the Decennial and Feline marking applicators to reflect the addition of Feline 10. * Markings secured with an Ochre Gnawrock should no longer be overwritten by a random rosette. Note that this only applies to breedings that take place after this news post. * Shamash has added a security guard to the Preservers Shop so players can no longer sneakily buy items if they do not have the shop unlocked. * Using Amusement items from your hoard will now properly log their usage and any stats gained. * Using Breeding items will no longer generate a mysterious '9' in your user log.
Notification About Image-Based Suggestion TopicsAs a heads up to players, any artwork-based suggestion topics (bases, eyes, marking shapes, etc.) that contain broken images will be locked, as it is not possible for our artists to recreate anything without an actual image. We encourage players who have posted suggestion topics to revisit their suggestions and ensure the images are working! We strongly recommend against hosting images or files of any type on Discord, as Discord has disabled the ability to use hosted assets for longer than 24 hours. The idea of getting a valuable lion from explore is good on the surface but the actual logistics of it are whack. With four identical lionesses out, the worth of a second Gen clone and other clones would dip severely. What’s the point of getting an expensive lion from explore when it isn’t worth as much anymore? 5 players like this post! Like? |

I feel very skeptical about these results from the polls considering how disliked some things were in the original post talking about the possible changes. Some of the things add up yes, but lots of the results don't. Why are some mechanics that were severely discouraged by those who read the post suddenly now OVERWHELMINGLY encouraged and preferred?  While I'm not outright claiming that the results ARE skewed, I am implyin that they might be due to the reactions from the Original Post (which, by the way, has an insane 704 replies compared to the usual often below 250)  I do feel some of these changes could impact Lioden in great ways, I also do feel like some could be harmful more than not. Why not send an email to someone if they won a lioness, but also give them only a week to grab her before she ripped from their hands? This seems VERY against people who take breaks from the game. Theres many accounts that DONT ROLLOVER MONTHLY because, quite frankly, some months aren't even worth rolling over for sometimes.  Regardless of this, I do wanna say I acknowledge that yes this post says some features may not be added, but I have my doubts. I still feel very unsure about the results on some of the polls. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions on the game and such of course, however as I stated earlier about the news letter I linked, some things arent adding up...  3 players like this post! What i don’t get is this. I understand that rls are expensive and there should be ways to get the marks but wouldn’t it be a better option to mark the ncls when they are extinct? What’s there point of winning a raffle for a “one of a kind “ if it isn’t that anymore. Theres a reason why it’s called a project and goals. If they aren’t that rare anymore due to multiple copies then what’s the point of even spending the sb to “hit the lottery” when you can get it for free in explore. There woulda literally be no point and it be easier to just save the money for when a cub pops up on the tree or in the market cuz at that point it be cheaper and faster to get. Like…what’s the point if there isn’t a goal to reach. Maybe to say it be better once that lion is DECEASED to go that route but let the winners at least enjoy their prize slapping it in explore :/ like some of the options can be good. But I’m the end i just see that the raffle would be pointless if we are gonna go with the the ncl routes js Also if people are gonna complain about the rls what about the studs that are there for projects. Like.. they are expensive for a reason…rarity it’s like going to someone who have Kyawthuite and demanding it for $5 or better yet when you have an ice cream and your sibling ate theirs but you’re mother said for you to share toe ice cream. So we are just gonna have up be forced to share for no reason not because they haven’t won yet? Or got rejected? Now i sees how there’s so many consent Issues going on this planet. It’s life you win some you lose some but it isn’t fair to make everyone pay or making a game mostly pointless cuz you didn’t win. You are basically doing that to winners cuz of what? Cuss THEY have a say IN THEIR lioness? No matter what in all the options i think it’s only best to go those routes if it’s extinct or old in age and hasn’t cloned 4 players like this post! Im really surprised by the votes on 5, i feel like the community has shifted from "what is best for the spread of special traits and making sure everyone has the chance to access them" to "what benefits me and gives me a better chance at having something "valuable"" which honestly really sucks. As a BO focused player I don't care about RL clones, what i DO care about is being able to breed specific traits and raffle markings in exclusive slots. Having those markings and traits spread is what I think the main goal should be, not inflating the game with RL clones that will most certainly tank in value and become just as undesirable as every other lion at some point. 4 players like this post! What’s been bugging me is why releasing clones into explore is even an option. From what I’ve seen in suggestions and just talking to people in general, people seem to want studs. Where did the devs get this idea? They have to know it’ll tank the economy right? They have to know it’ll change the game for the worse right? I feel like studs should’ve been one of the only options to get feedback on to be completely honest. Especially since it’s already a wolvden feature, it should be a no brainer to consider adding it to lioden. Studs would be such a perfect addition and fix marking hoarding, which was the problem to begin with. 7 players like this post! Like? |

@az Devs have said they hesitate on raffle studs because it's a feature for wolvden. They dont want wolvden players to feel like they are the "experiment" for lioden features (even though the site coding updates we've seen looks like wolvden with lions). Where in the world they got the explore idea, i have no clue, since every raffle lioness/BO concern topic ive ever seen has never given this as a player interest, despite the others being suggestions ive seen 3 players like this post! Like? |

Just want to mention that adding raffle lionesses to explore is likely to cause some players to leave the game entirely, but I don't think anyone will quit solely because it's not added. It's probably best to tread on the safe side and be careful about implementing anything that's shown itself to be this controversial. 7 players like this post! Like? |
