I just want more JB without it feeling like such a slog, at least last month the slog was worth it in case you stumbled across anything fun like the Mysterious Stranger or Mysterious pair.

i think events used to be a lot simpler back in the day...we had floods, droughts, fire, poaching, famine, rabies, etc. they were all real life situations that made sense with the environment.
its only when they started to evolve to have storylines and stuff that they began making no sense. wasn't until mythical stuff was being added by the tenfold and attempts to give lioden a bigger thematic universe and lore i guess. if i recall correctly, lioden doesnt have any sort of writing team which is probably a big reason as to why a lot of the storylines in events dont make sense. i would like to see some sort of rework or at least acknowledgement, but not to shift it entirely towards the harbinger stuff, but that's just me who doesn't enjoy the july/june/october event because of the themes.

Lioden doesn't have a writing team but Wolvden does, which shows who the golden child is I suppose!

They really have just dropped the ball and tbh they need a team dedicated to *just* managing the events, planning them and how things should work together. I hate July since it was overhauled, it took me until this year to bother unlocking the "Veil Nebula" that was added who knows how long ago. August is tolerable, though the stud change was annoying (I was very vocal about it on news, thankfully they bucked up that idea), August is IMO only tolerable for the Buffies/Grains, without them I wouldn't play it.

I'm just... tired, if I wasn't disabled and could do stuff other than be chronically online I would.

usually the harbinger isn;t the best unless you want the decor, etc. in his shop. it's the JB you want for the gnaws and saltlicks - not the harbinger stuff. For money, anyway.

Alright it's not looking better today, so far... by rights I should wait until the 4th-5th after Harbinger has been unlocked for a day & things are settling into rhythms (hopefully no tier adjustments after that?!?!) but have some info & complaints...

Edit: Yeeeah I just got 0 JB for an energy bar.
I did get 2-3 Locust encounters.
If the locust-granting encounters were less common or went away after tiers unlock, it would make sense that we jumped in too soon, but they don't so it doesn't.
Hopefully a lucky bar later tonight will make up for this. D:

I was hoping to front-load my JB earnings a bit this month, it's a month i've personally actually taken a year hiatus due to missing before- and this year i'll have limited internet access from the 13th-21st which is the bulk of September/the Event.

My gameplay Background (Event):
I started playing in September 2019 & created my side (Sirah) the following month, then started grinding Sept for Gnaws the following year.
In 2022, I paid very close attention & was experimenting with activity vs. boosts etc. so I fell into a rhythm in the last few weeks of the event to bring in my greatest haul yet.
150 JB became a 'good number' to see after the end of a half-day, and I could boost that if it was due to activity levels across a full day (300 JB each) with Roasted Lamb/Red Bulls.

I was hopeful that this year energy boosts etc. would be more helpful but the math just isn't working out there, it's not worth it (to use them early on in the event, at least).

My (usual) September (JB) Earnings:

On a home day, later in the month with 2x Roasted Lamb/Red Bulls i'm able to earn ~300JB per account, so 4+ Gnaws for the day across main & side. With luck, a bit higher, but that was my baseline of calculating whether an extra lamb would be worth it (Yes! <3) to go for that 2nd Gnaw each or feeling ' Ah, good. A good day. ' Making the most of the time I have gaming is essential for my game satisfaction and greatly effects my outlook/positivity about the game.
I can ignore some bad randomization/luck but i'm (game)worried. xD
Yesterday with the same activity & 4 Roasted Lamb and my saved up level ups I earned barely 300 JB ('2 Gnaws')- half- with the same activity level.
It's hard to say but some quick numbers i'd written down imply that I was only single-lambing on the 600JB days of old, I expected for some reason to need to increase that in order to make the same but it felt casual at the time as well- so that i've doube-double lambed and gotten half is strange.
Yes, it's the first day, I usually only pay attention to earnings after Harbinger is unlocked on the 3rd (sometimes don't even unfreeze 'til then) despite already having all my high-value lionesses unfrozen on my main - buut, due to my real life schedule this year I really needed to front-load... i'm not pleased about the tiers unlocking slower despite everyone grinding their hearts out early on so ... eh.

Typically after last Feb's number sharing i'd expect to be able to 'make up for' missed activity with Energy Boosts, but that math just isn't working. For players with less time, this means there's no way to make up for a 'missed day' let alone keep up with their old earnings from full-time daily activity.

If I hadn't already resigned myself to 'making less use of my lionesses' heats' i'd be considering missing days, trying to make up for it with spending double price on gnaws (sorry i'm done with out of season for the year, I did that fund redistribution in July for Jags xD), semi- or longer hiatus for the year, etc.

I don't think there's supposed to be more encounters 'released' or a higher encounter rate after Harbinger quests unlock (there's nothing in the Wiki about it, even if thematically it would make sense as the blight 'worsens' closer to the 'Apocalypse') or we reach higher tiers, but it certainly feels that way- the variation in JB per energy bar usually even out across the day, so if i'm feeling discouraged I just stick in there.

Feeling a bit mistrustful that the rates will be the best when i'm not able to be here, or that i'll miss some adjustment in that time.

I understand the 'don't fret' vibes but we're generally trying to feel good about playing if not predict earnings/haul whether to cover our frozen most of the year gals' heats or arrange things better around our busy lives, so it can be quite discouraging to on top of this see the bar open, close, open- I expected the 'adjustment to the tier' mentioned in the News to be a prediction & then us to be able to grind at will to open the bars sooner, not to be watching a live spectacle of the bar jumping around and the Shop even unlocking (sort of) temporarily this morning because the numbers were adjusted again. I get live-adjusting due to predictions not anticipating players to throw thousands in of gb into energy boosting on day 1 due to enthusiasm, but that hopeful enthusiasm has turned to uncertainty and disappointment for many...
Normally I don't pay such close attention & don't mind as adjustments are just growing pains of a growing site but I rolled a few extra times unplanned this year so i'm having to use/gauge hybrid/DU heats without earned gnaws. xD
and my real-life schedule means instead of just a "Hey these are my numbers :D Good luck!" you're getting a full post.


I see the form but likely wont' respond just yet as my answer is "half as much"- prefer gauging by the 'feel' of things so I don't track exact numbers anymore just have a general vibe of how i'm doing, and it's not great at the moment- yes, give it a few days, start pulling in the extra 10 or 15 or so from the quests (shouldn't be that big of a difference), and see if things pick up later in the month once I return as usual but....

Half-way into day 2 i'm at 425 JB (239/186 JB) & I should be approaching 1,200 JB.
I would have expected to be at 1,200 JB already because I used my level-ups early & used 2 Roasted Lamb per account!
I don't typically maintain this pace on off-days and don't always get to use full doubled-energy bars due to real life flux but for a full dedicated doing all my check ins I should be there.
I ~need~ (yes it's a game, game-need, obviously) to be there.

Hopefully things will pick up soon.

I agree. yesterday i popped two roasted lambs and couldn't even reach 100jb (that was including an extra 19jb left over from last event)
