He nodded his head softly and cleared his throat to speak. Despite her gentle gaze, he found himself to be a bit shy about looking into her eyes, so instead, he looked down and picked at the grass as he began to speak. "When I was a young boy, before I joined the Brotherhood, my family owned a dragon stable." He started out, his voice quiet as he spoke, it seemed what he was going to tell her would be a sensitive subject. "My father and older brother worked the stable, but I was too young so I would stay with our neighbor while they worked. My mother was a soldier at the time..." He said, and although his voice was steady, his body seemed tense with emotion. "My brother Tobias was 11 at the time, I was always so jealous that he got to help father care for the dragons while I was stuck inside with elderly Mrs. Lenna." He said, a sad smile falling across his lips as he recalled the memory He paused for a few moments, seemingly collecting his thoughts while staring down at the grass. He breathed in before he spoke once more. "One day while my father and brother were working the stable, a group of Lower Cuthos radicals raided our city. All of the city's stables were targeted, including my father's...They found my father's body at the entrance to the stable with
a spear in his chest and no weapon at his side." He said coldly, his hands going still as he stared down at the ground with hard eyes. Although there seemed to be anger in his voice, there was also deep sadness radiating from him. "The stable was set on fire to force the dragons out of it as they refused to leave with the raiders...Tobias's charred corpse was found in the back of the stable, he died clutching his hatchling that he had been raising. They weren't sure if father told him to hide, or if he hid because he was scared, but once the stable was set ablaze, he never made it out. My mother...was killed in action trying to defend the city...Her dragon brought her body home, she was still harnessed to the saddle long after she had passed..." He spoke with a softly, slightly shaking voice. Anger poured out of him, but Isolde could swear a tear ran down his cheek, leaving a wet streak along his skin. "I lost everything...those raiders made me an orphan that day...and I felt so angry...I didn't understand why this had happened...I still don't...That's when the Brotherhood took me in to train me...I had no where else to go...They practically raised me..." He murmured, still keeping his eyes off of Isolde, he felt so raw and vulnerable sharing all of this with her. He had never spoken to anyone outside of his mentors about this, and now he was spilling his story to a woman he had barely just met. But he felt the urge to tell her so strongly, that he didn't regret doing so now that he was finished. At least now perhaps she would understand his feeling towards Lower Cuthos and towards Ellisar. How could he ever trust someone like him after what he had experienced? He fell into silence now, giving her time to process all he had told her, he was sure it was a lot to take in. He laid down fully now, laying on his back and staring up at the stars, his mind flooded with memories of his family that were taken from him far too soon.

Isolde listened to Theodis with a deep sense of empathy, her heart aching as he revealed the pain he'd carried all these years. His story hit closer to home than he likely realized. As he spoke about losing his family, she felt an old, familiar wound stir inside her—a grief that never truly healed. When he finished, the silence between them was thick with unspoken pain. She looked down, taking a deep breath as she decided to share a piece of herself in return. "I understand, Theodis... more than you might think." Her voice was soft, but there was an underlying strength as she glanced at him, her golden eyes reflecting the firelight. She contemplated running her hand along his cheek to wipe away his tears but thought better of it. "I lost my parents too... when I was very young. Sebastian and I both did." Her gaze briefly flickered to the night sky, as if searching for the right words. "They were killed by vampire hunters, right in front of us." There was a calmness in her voice, but the weight of the memory was undeniable. "It happened so quickly, but I remember every detail—the look in my mother’s eyes as she tried to shield us, the sound of my father’s last breath. We couldn’t do anything... we were just children." Her hand clenched slightly, as if reliving the helplessness. "For a long time, I didn’t know how to deal with that pain. It made me feel alone, even when Sebastian was right there beside me. I thought no one could ever understand what we’d been through." She paused, her voice softening further. "But you don’t have to carry it alone, Theodis. I know what it’s like to lose everything in a single moment... and it’s not something you should face in silence." She leaned a bit closer, her presence gentle and reassuring. "I’m here for you, and I’m not going anywhere. We both know loss, but maybe that’s why we can understand each other better than most." She offered him a small, sad smile, one that spoke of shared burdens and unspoken strength. Isolde then sat back, her hand brushing against the flower bracelet he had made for her. "Thank you for trusting me with your story... and for letting me in."

He listened to her speak about her heavy past and felt his heart sink like a stone, feeling her pain as if it were his own. He kept quiet as she spoke, feeling their connection grow stronger as they shared in each other's trauma. Although he felt heartbroken to hear what she had endured, it gave him some guilty comfort to know that he wasn't alone in this way. He looked at her face as she leaned in, his heart felt as if it stopped as she leaned closer to him. He knew it wasn't the time for these thoughts, but as she leaned close to him, he couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. One side of her face was bathed in moonlight, while the other side was being licked by the light of the fire. The sadness though that he found in her eyes and smile grounded him, bringing his thoughts back to her words. He nodded his head softly as he listened to her tell him he wasn't alone, and at the moment, he believed her. He felt as if she truly meant what she said, and felt his trust pour from himself into her. He wasn't as much a man of words in situations like this, he preferred to let his actions do the speaking. So he sat up and reached out, softly taking her hand into his own. Her hand was soft in his, starkly contrasting to his slightly rough, calloused hands. He ran his thumb over the back of her hand, and then gave it the gentlest squeeze. "Thank you Isolde...I'm here for you. Whatever this journey brings, I'll be at your side." He stated and gave her a small smile, bringing his other hand up and forming a fist before placing it over his heart, as if he were making some sort of soldier's promise or oath. His words were simple, but gave the sense that he would be there to support her for anything she needed, no matter how small.

Ellisar paused at the treeline with Sebastian, nudging him softly with his elbow and motioning towards Isolde and Theodis. "I wonder what they're talking about." He mentioned, then flashed a cheeky grin when he saw Theodis hold Isolde's hand and put his fist over his heart. "Might as well go welcome him to the family~" He teased Sebastian again playfully, he seemed to be in a much better mood after some time. It seemed that he had managed to shake off his upset from before. All jokes aside, it was nice to see the two getting along so well. After all, they were on a life or death quest together, they all needed to trust each other.

(Hm I just looked at it (also sorry bout no response to rp yet, busy with midterms) but as far as I see your prices don’t seem over the top or anything? I mean especially for rosettes. Personally I find them all cute as well. Maybe try lowering the price just a bit and maybe some more advertisement if possible? I definitely don’t think it’s that the lions aren’t pretty or anything.)

I get it :3 Although I am antsy for Isolde's reaction X3 And yeah, I posted on Reddit asking for advice and people said basically that they weren't overpriced or anything and that they were pretty, but that it just takes a while to find the right buyer. I've been advertising a ton, posting on people's LF ads and stuff so I was just getting worried XD I'm a worrier after all haha Either way, I hope everything is going good with midterms! I can't believe it's already midterm time, feels like just the other day it was summer and we were doing lion rps XD Time sure flies haha)

(Yeah I really hope you find someone to take them! They are certainly very pretty lol. I' sure you'll eventually find the right person!! I have been formulating some ideas on how to respond but haven't had the actual time to do so XD. (That would be amazing, but don't feel rushed! I am just adoring the Theodis x Isolde thing we have going on at the moment X3 at the beginning of the rp, I was focused on Sebastian x Ellisar, and I still think they'll be an adorable couple, but Theodis x Isolde has kind of surprised me and has my heart stolen at the moment X3 Yeah, that school fatigue is kicking in right about now Im sure, but hey! Midterms means you're halfway through! Won't be long and you'll be on Christmas break! As his hand reached for hers, she felt the warmth of his rough, calloused fingers gently wrap around her own, and for a moment, the weight of their shared pain seemed to ease. The softness in his touch was a stark contrast to the fierce warrior she had seen earlier, and his promise to stand by her side stirred something deep within her. When he placed his fist over his heart, his small smile speaking volumes more than words could, Isolde felt a flicker of warmth she hadn’t known she needed. She returned his smile, her golden eyes soft as they met his. “Thank you, Theodis.” Her voice was quiet, but filled with sincerity. “You don’t know how much that means to me.” She could feel the sincerity in his promise, the quiet strength that he carried, not just in battle but in his heart. It was something rare, something she had long thought was lost in the world of warriors and survival. Isolde held onto his hand a little longer, the connection between them grounding her in the moment. “I’ve walked a long road… alone in many ways, even with Sebastian by my side. It’s been hard to trust others, but…” She trailed off for a second, then looked at him again. “I feel like I can trust you, and I want you to know that you can trust me too. Whatever comes our way, we’ll face it together.” Her thumb lightly brushed over the back of his hand, a small gesture that felt like a reassurance. There was something unspoken between them, something that went beyond shared loss or words. It was the bond of two people who had suffered, but who had also found a flicker of hope in each other. She leaned in just a little, her voice barely above a whisper now. “You don’t have to carry your burdens alone anymore, Theodis.” There was a depth to her words that hinted at more than just their shared pain—it was an invitation, a promise of companionship through the darkest of days.


Sebastian chuckled softly at Ellisar’s teasing, his sharp eyes catching the interaction between Isolde and Theodis. He hadn’t missed the way Theodis had reached for her hand, or the quiet exchange between them by the fire. While a part of him felt a bit protective—after all, Isolde was his sister—he also felt a strange sense of relief seeing her connect with someone. She hadn’t let many people in since their parents’ death, and watching her bond with Theodis like that was… unexpected, but not unwelcome. Despite the joke, there was a warm, amused tone in his voice. He nudged Ellisar back lightly with his elbow. “But really… if it’s what it looks like, I’m not going to stand in her way. Isolde can handle herself. And it’s about time she had someone who could stand by her, especially with everything going one.” His gaze softened a little as he watched them, the firelight casting flickering shadows across the scene. “Still,” he added with a smirk, “I’m going to keep an eye on him. Just to make sure he’s good enough for her.” There was a protective undertone to his words, but also a hint of brotherly mischief.

(Me too I really like the way their relationship is developing at the moment. They are super cute together rn and I genuinely am excited to see both of the current relationships develop even more. It’s definitely fair for feeling like Solaris is a bit of an outcast at the point. Hopefully he can make a comeback of some sort haha 😅)

Theodis gazed at her with soft eyes that swam with emotion, turning over the words that she spoke. When she leaned towards him, and spoke in her soft whisper, his heart fluttered. His heart took control, flooding his mind with thoughts of her beauty and grace, thoughts of what her lips might feel like against his own, and urges to find out. His body moved by instinct, leaning in slightly towards her, his hand still holding hers softly. His breath slowed in anticipation as he hesitated, his mind catching up and considering what he was doing. The emotions he felt towards Isolde in this moment felt so...irrational, so sudden and out of place. He had never felt like this before, but his heart knew what it wanted, and it was her in this moment. Before he could act further upon his feelings, he got the overwhelming gut feeling that he was being watched. His eyes darted to the side instinctively, he could see Ellisar and Sebastian at the edge of the trees. He leaned back quickly and softly pulled his hand away from hers. As he released her hand and moved away, he could feel some of their connection sever, which oddly filled him with soft relief as he could think clearly again. He cleared his throat softly and looked into the fire, his heart racing as quickly as his thoughts. "Thank you Isolde...for everything." He said gently but it seemed as if he were actively attempting to harden himself back up a bit as Sebastian and Ellisar began their approach. He couldn't allow himself to look weak and vulnerable in front of them, at least, that's how he felt.

Ellisar nodded his head with a small chuckle at his last comment, a soft smile on his lips. "As any good brother should." He said with a grin, noticing Theodis suddenly pull away from Isolde. "Looks like we've been spotted." He said with a giggle before he started to make his way towards the fire, knowing now they wouldn't be interrupting. He thought about the two and what Sebastian said, and while he was glad to see them getting along and all, he wondered if it would all be in vain. Afterall, they were on a quest that could easily result in their demise. He tried to shake the thoughts away, telling himself that if they did die, at least they wouldn't die alone. He gathered his thoughts, thinking again about what Sebastian had seen. He hated that it had happened that way, he knew Sebastian would be suspicious and wonder what affliction could cause him to act that way. He knew he couldn't hide it forever, but he hoped that Sebastian would keep it to himself. He pushed the thoughts away as he neared the fire, looking forward to having his foraged meal.

She bit her lip, her thoughts tightening with the familiar worry that somehow she had nudged his emotions unknowingly, that this flood of connection he had shown might have been her doing, rather than something he truly felt. She forced herself to turn her gaze to the fire, letting its crackling warmth fill the quiet between them. As Sebastian and Ellisar approached, she painted her face with a small, collected smile, steadying herself even as her head raced with doubts. She hoped her worries weren’t showing, that the others would read nothing in her quiet demeanor. But beneath the surface, a small part of her feared that if she couldn’t control this power, it might push him further away before she ever had the chance to know how he truly felt.

Sebastian noticed the flicker of doubt on Ellisar’s face, though he quickly masked it with a smile as they walked toward the fire. He could tell that Ellisar was pushing something down, and though Sebastian wanted to pry, he held back for now, out of respect. They all carried their burdens, and if Ellisar needed time to open up, Sebastian was willing to wait. Sebastian’s gaze shifted from Ellisar to Isolde and Theodis by the fire. The subtle tension between them was unmistakable. He knew his sister well enough to recognize her guarded smile, and he caught the way Theodis seemed to close himself off just as they arrived. He would later have a talk with his sister so see what was running through her head. There was no telling if he would actually get anything out of her but who knew, maybe he would get lucky. For now he focused on the moment at hand and trying to hide the fact that despite having eaten the other night he was starving again. Usually it would take days for him to be hungry again but he supposed maybe the trip had just took a toll that he didn't quite expect. He would go hunt later and see if Isolde would want to come with or not; she could possible use some time to run off whatever troubled her at the moment.

(Hey hope you're doing well! I need some advice haha. [also don't worry bout the rp I know people get busy lol] So I recently just got the amount needed to replace my king if I so choose to BUT i don't know if I should wait or not... My current king won't naturally retire for another 5 weeks and the one I want to king is 3 years and 4 months and cause he is a really good stat and REALLY pretty coloring I wanna get the most use outta him as possible. So my question is do I go ahead and spend the 10 GB to king him early or do I wait the 5 weeks? I did the math and the heir will be 6 years 3 months by the time of natural retirement.)

(Hey! Yeah, life has been really busy and my brain has not been in writing mode, tbh I haven't even really been in the mood to play lioden either :C My brain just feels like mush lately with stress. But anywho! Hmmm, I personally would go ahead and spend the 10gb to king the lion you want :3 5 weeks seems like a long time to have to wait haha X3 In 5 weeks you could easily earn 10gb again, so I think it is worth it! Especially if it will make you happy/excited to continue breeding new cubs and such as well as keep you interested in the game :D I say go for it!

I totally understand DO NOT stress yourself even further by trying to respond to the rp right now. I would rather get a reply from you being in the writing 'mood' per say then you having to force yourself to create a response.
