Theodis nodded his head softly, his voice was soft when he spoke to her. "You're welcome." He said simply but also didn't push for further conversation as he moved away from Ithorris and Isolde. He looked around and thought to himself that the night was chilly and they were exposed, he should make a fire. He wasn't sure if vampires got cold, but he knew he would be grateful for the warmth, especially if they stayed there for the rest of the night. He moved off to the tree line and started collecting sticks.

Solaris seemed tuckered out and was already laying in the grass as if it were a comfortable bed. Based on his condition, it seemed they were probably staying here for the rest of the night and they would have to find shelter for Sebastian and Isolde for the day.

Ellisar laughed, finding great humor in what he was watching as Nyx pinned and licked Sebastian. He giggled and moved close to Sebastian, looking down at him as he laid there on the ground. He put his hands on his hips as he finished up his giggling, wiping a tear from his eye as he looked upon Sebastian. "I'm surprised you survived that 'vicious attack'." He said playfully with a grin before holding one of his hands out to him. "Would you like a hand up? Or do you need some time to recover?" He asked teasingly.

Isolde watched as Theodis moved away, his quiet response hanging in the air between them. She could sense the lingering tension but didn’t feel the need to push any further right now. The silence between them wasn’t uncomfortable, just different, and she understood that he needed his space. As he headed toward the tree line to gather sticks, she stood still for a moment, her gaze following him. She seen the commotion with Nyx and her brother and let out a small chuckle at the sight. She considered offering to help Theodis with the fire but decided against it, feeling he might prefer to focus on the task alone. Instead, her eyes drifted up to the stars, allowing herself to get lost in the stillness of the night while they prepared to rest.

Sebastian continued laying there and giving a playful glare to Ellisar, "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up..." He took Ellisars hand, using it to help himself up. "Thank you." a small pause, "Seems all of us could've used the rest," he said while glancing over to Solaris and his sister who seemed drooped over a bit. He decided later he would try asking her what was wrong but for now he left her alone as she seemed lost in thought.

"Yeah, I'd say so." He nodded in agreement, smiling as he looked around at the others. He noticed things seemed a bit off at the moment with Theodis and Isolde, but also thought maybe they were just ready to have space after the long ride. He stretched again and then looked out towards the trees. "Well, what I need is some lunch." He said with a grin, reaching up and taking a satchel down off of Sonnuri, slinging it over his shoulder so he would have something to carry his forest goodies in. "You can come with me if you'd like." He offered, thinking to himself that he would enjoy the chance to stretch his legs out while scavenging.

Sebastian nodded, a smile tugging at his lips as he watched Ellisar prepare to head into the woods. The idea of gathering some food sounded like a pleasant break from the tension that had been hanging in the air. "Yeah, I could use the walk," Sebastian replied, pushing himself off the saddle and stretching his legs. He felt the ache from sitting for so long and welcomed the idea of moving around. "Let’s see what this forest has to offer." As they set off toward the tree line, Sebastian felt a bit lighter. The open air and the prospect of a casual scavenging trip were a welcome distraction from the weight of their journey. He glanced over at Ellisar with a small grin. "Any particular forest goodies you’re hoping for, or are we just winging it?" he asked, his tone playful as they walked into the woods.

"Hmm..." He hummed to himself thoughtfully, rubbing his chin as he considered this. "To be honest, I can't say I'm very picky. But some fresh greens would be nice, oh and some mushrooms I could roast would be tasty." He mentioned, wanting something a bit heartier than berries. "But anything will do, this is pretty much how I live all the time." He commented with a smile as he walked with Sebastian through the trees and brush, his eyes scanning for anything edible he could grab. "I just life off the back of Sonnuri for the most part, eating what I can find. I do sometimes go into town to trade for bread and whatnot though, especially in the winter." He said, pausing at a blackberry bush and picking the berries from it that looked ripe to eat. He tossed them into his pouch and continued walking, taking in a deep breath of the cool night air. It was very peaceful here, and he enjoyed listening to the sound of the forest at night. "Although I will say, sometimes it is hard to stay full from berries and mushrooms alone."

Sebastian smiled thoughtfully as Ellisar spoke about living off the land. The simplicity of it intrigued him, even if his own survival methods were... different. "I can see that," Sebastian replied, stepping over some tangled roots as they moved deeper into the forest. "Living off berries and mushrooms alone sounds like it could be a challenge, especially when you need something more substantial." He glanced at Ellisar, thinking about his own needs. "I suppose in a way, I’m living off the land too, though for... other reasons." His smile was small but honest. "There’s a balance to it, though. I try to be mindful of what I take, just like you do. It's not the same, but... there's a kind of rhythm to it, like you said."

Sebastian crouched down, plucking a few wild herbs and slipping them into his pouch. "I can imagine how tough it must be in the winter, though. Even for me, hunting can get harder when the animals are scarce and the cold slows everything down." He glanced at Ellisar, knowing that the idea of hunting for blood wasn’t exactly easy for everyone to stomach. "But it's how I get by. Just like you finding your berries and mushrooms." Straightening up, Sebastian chuckled softly, hoping to lighten the moment. "I’ve got a lot of respect for how you live, Ellisar. Surviving off the land the way you do takes a certain kind of strength."

He listened quietly to the mention of hunting and nodded his head softly, understanding that Sebastian had no choice but to hunt. "Yeah, hunting must get difficult for you." He agreed in understanding while walking next to him. "I don't have the heart for hunting, I never have." Although it was much deeper than that, he didn't need to bother Sebastian with such nuances. "Sonnuri has to go far away from me when he hunts, it just hurts my heart." He said softly, though again, it was more than that. "But I suppose that is all just part of life." He said in acceptance as he knelt down next to a patch of morel mushroom. He picked them with a grin and put them in his satchel, thinking to himself that he had quite a meal coming together now. While in his knelt position, he suddenly froze with a mushroom in his hand. His body went rigid and tense, and he slowly leaned forward, coupling over as if he were in pain. He dropped the mushroom and brought his arms in, clutching at his stomach and letting out a sharp gasp followed by a whimper as he folded in on himself, his hair falling in around his face. It were as if something was hurting him, but visibly there was no reason for the sudden bout of pain.

Sebastian was mid-conversation, nodding in understanding at Ellisar's words about hunting when he suddenly noticed the shift. He watched in concern as Ellisar knelt down to gather the mushrooms, but then froze, his entire posture changing. The lightheartedness of their foraging turned dark in an instant. “Ellisar?” Sebastian’s voice dropped, his usual calm demeanor replaced with alarm as he saw Ellisar clutch at his stomach, doubling over in pain. He was by his side in a flash, kneeling next to him, his hand instinctively hovering over Ellisar's back but unsure whether to touch him, afraid of making things worse.

“What’s happening? Talk to me.” His voice was steady but urgent, his eyes scanning Ellisar for any sign of injury or explanation for the sudden pain. There was nothing: no visible wound, no external cause, and that made it all the more unnerving. Sebastian’s instincts as a vampire kicked in. He was sensitive to the pulses of life, to changes in the energy around people, and something about Ellisar’s pain felt unnatural. “Is it something internal? A spell? Poison?” he muttered, trying to piece together what could be happening. He couldn’t just stand there. “Hold on,” Sebastian said softly, leaning closer, his tone more comforting now. “Breathe through it, I’m right here.” His mind raced, thinking of how to help, even as he kept a watchful eye on his companion. If it was something magical or worse, Sebastian was ready to act—but right now, Ellisar needed him to stay grounded.

Ellisar squeezed his eyes shut tight, listening to Sebastian's comforting words and doing his best to follow his advice. He pulled in a shaky breath and let it out slowly, tears forming at the corner of his eyes before trailing down his cheeks. His body trembled softly, and Ellisar seemed unable to speak, possibly due to the pain. His hand shot out, grabbing Sebastian's arm and squeezing tight as the pain ran through him. After several moments, which seemed like and eternity, the pain in his body suddenly disappeared, evaporating. His grip on Sebastian faltered and his hand dropped away from him, going instead to his face where he buried himself in his hands and cried softly for a few moments. The pain was gone, but now all he could feel was an icy cold grip taking hold of him. He let himself cry for only a few moments before dropping his hand away from his face and standing back up. He was still shaking, but was trying to force himself to recover for the sake of Sebastian. He sniffled and wiped his eyes, turning his face away and refusing to look at him, not wanting him to see his crying eyes. "I'm fine..." He said in a small, shaky voice. "It's nothing, just something that happens sometimes...we should keep walking..." He said softly and stepped away from Sebastian with the intent to continue their walk now. Something was definitely very strange and unnatural about that entire scene that had just happened, there was clearly something Ellisar wasn't telling him and didn't seem to want to share.
