Luna jumped out of her bed as she heard that the vikings were coming home from another search of the dragon nest. She put her clothes on quickly and threw her hat on her head as she rushed out of her bedroom. It was an early friday morning and she had to go to the school. She had just started there with her friends. The school was about training teenagers for killing the dragons and everything they needed to know about them. She knocked on her sister's door, Kaolin's. "Kaolin! Get up we're going to be late to school and they're coming back from another search for the nest!" Luna yelled and opened the door. She saw that Kaolin was still half asleep so she went down to get water. Luna hated being late. She walked back up the stairs and poured the water down at Kaolin. "Get up" She said and laughed as she walked down. Her parents, Catline and Simon, were up and her mother was cooking breakfast. "Good morning" Simon said and looked at Luna as she ran to her mother and grabbed a cup full yogurt. "Sorry, can't talk right now! I'll be home soon" She said and ran out of her house. The house stood upon a small hill, next to the chiefs house. The village life had already started and many people walking down to the peer. Luna found dragons extraordinaire although they had killed hundreds of vikings over the years. "Did you find the nest?" She asked one of the men who just came back from the search. "No but we found a lot smaller one. They had laid eggs there but there aren't many left" The man said. Luna nodded and looked down. "Im getting late" She whispered to herself and turned around. She ran up to the academy and saw that she was the first one to arrive, not even the teacher had arrived. She walked inside and saw a small poster on the wall. "Class is canceled today, see you on monday" It spelled with runes. Luna turned around when she heard footsteps running inside, probably some of her friends.

Maria panted as she barged through the doors. She saw a glimpse of Luna and paused, "Early as usually Luna...anyway, where's teach?" Maria hoped class went canceled- she got all dressed up for nothing. Zipping off her small buckskin dress, it revealed her regular clothes she wore. She wrapped her hair in a ponytail and sighed. "Well...teach, finally came. No more school on Fridays," Maria grinned, finally settling her conclusion that class was canceled.

Echo felt the warm rays of the sun reach her face. She let out soft Yawn before rising out of bed. Her eyes widden when she realized that Today was the day the vikings came back. She smiled slightly; Her father would be back seeing as he was one of the choose ones to go on the mission. She quickly grabbed her clothing putting them on. She began to run out before realizing she forgot her Necklace and headband. Placing Both Items on her head and around her necks she quickly raced down stairs. She began to head to the door but was stopped by her mother who handed her a piece of buttered bread. Echo quickly ate the bread She signaled she was leaving "Go on Don't be Late! And Be home before Sunset Your father will want to see you!"her mom spoke. Echo nodded before running out the door. She made her way to the class room . She stopped at the doorway panting as she Looked up at Luna and Maria "I-I'm N-Not Late am I?" She asked trying to catch her breath.

Lacota slowly moved to climb off his bed, thumping his feet on the floor to make sure everything was where he left it. He put on his clothes making sure his boots clicked nicely with each step. The wet nose of his dog, Koba, pushed into his hand causing the him to smile. "Hello my friend, how are you today?" Lacota laughed. Next he grabed his clay tablets and carving tool then headed down stairs to greet his mother. "Your not going back to that school today are you? All they let you do is sit in the bleachers! I think it's unfair." She said when she saw him comming down the stairs. "Well I'm guessing they don't want to pit a dragon against a blind guy, might seem cruel." Lacota laughed. "Your not blind, you just can't see with your eyes!" His mother muttered. "That is the definition of blind." He countered picking up a piece of toast before heading to the door. He picked up his cane and told his mother goodbye before heading for the school. He heard people talking but couldn't really make out the words. "What's going on?" He asked.

Denzel hadn't even noticed the moment the sun came up, his usual time for waking up was before that in week days, thus leading to him being relaxed and eating breakfast slowly until the sun shone in his eyes and became bothersome, causing him to growl slightly and glare at it. His house was relatively far from the village, almost bordering the woods, and therefore the last victim of the sunlight, considered an annoying necessity for him. Once Denzel realized what the sun meant, he stood up and ran quickly up the stairs, stumbling more than once and hitting his knee on a wall when entering his room. As fast as he could, he threw on a light orange shirt with little red details and his fur vest over it, not even taking his usual 10 minutes of sitting there shirtless thinking about how tired he was. He finally put on his dull pants on and walked out while putting on some leather boots. When he was done, he sprinted out.

Finally, he arrived, almost stumbling over one of the many figures in front of the academy, the only ones that managed to make him stop. The wind had played with his hair, tangling it and making the ends fluff up more than usual. Once he saw the 'School is cancelled' sign, he let out an exaggerated gasp, followed by a yawn. He had heard a voice besides him when he arrived, and turned around towards it, only to find Lacota
-School is cancelled, it seems- Denzel said, panting and trying to calm his hair down before once again saying something. He wasn't even sure what to say, but decided on the most obvious question. -Are this people serious?-

Luna looked over to Maria as she walked towards her. "No, it seems not" She replied an looked at the poster. She sat down on a wooden chair and looked over the academy. She heard someone rushing into the place and looked over to the doorway. Echo stood there and asked if she wasn't late while trying to catch her breath. "Class's canceled today and all Fridays from now I guess." Luna answered. "Hey, by the way, the vikings found a smaller nest or well not the main nest. Just a much smaller one. The dragons are all dead they say." She said and stood up. "I know this is an crazy idea, because maybe some of the dragons aren't dead, but I actually want to go check on them. They also said that they had been laying eggs there." She said as she grabbed the dragon manual that had been put on a table, next to some weapons. She opened it and said "Where are the others anyway?" as she read over the gronckle chapter.

Kaolin finally woke with a wide yawn and a cat-like stretch. She crawled out of bed and throw her cloths on. Still tired, she walked into the kitchen were her mother, Catline, cooked up food for late. "Hey, Kaolin. You finally woke." Her mother said with a laugh. Kaolin nodded and asked, "Where's Luna?" "At school, like you should be." She replied, her voice more firm than friendly. "What? It's still Friday?" She jumped up, now completely awake. Without saying another word, she raced out the door, but not before grabbing an apple.

Kaolin raced through the village. Her mind rattled to make up an excuse as to why she was late. Blinded by her thoughts, she ran into a few Vikings on her way. Heading up the trail to the academy, she began to say, "Sorry I'm late. I can explain. So there was this pig- no, a cow. And it..." She saw everyone sitting outside. "What's going on? Is training off again?" She walked up and sat by her sister.

Echo finally caught her breath she looked up. "Really?" She squeak "That's great! Three day Weekend" she muttered. She glanced around she heard a few other voices. "Probably just arriving" She answered Luna's question. She turned around to see Lacota and Denzel Talking. She took a look around seeing if she could spot anyone else. She began to fiddle with her Necklace. "Wait? What do you mean there might be more dragons?! " She quietly asked "Wasn't this the last mission?" She asked taking a deep breath in before releasing it. "Either way if there is any dragons alive it's not like we can't keep em a secret. It's all we trained for" She spoke louder. She moved from fiddling with her Necklace to her Hair. She paused as she heard someone began to make a bunch of excuses before asking a question. Echo turned her head saw it was Kaolin who had arrived. "Yea it's cancel" she muttered.

Lacota nodded at Denzel's voice. "Thank you, I'm glade I get another free day to sit around a do nothing." Most of the others had jobs that they could go to or book they could read but Lacota really didn't have many options. He too had heard of the dragon nest that had been found but he was not to eager to go stumbling in there. "Perhaps that isn't the best idea, to go sauntering into a dragon's nest." He felt he wouldn't be much use as a burnt lamb leg, not that he was much use anyway. He sat down and began scrawling on his tablets, even blind he could write not well but he could. He began writing down all the facts he knew of dragons nest:
- normally in large groups
- dragons don't like to have their nest tampered with

That was all they really knew, since the motto was "kill first, ask questions later". He huffed moving his hand over the carved tablet, a waste of clay in his opinion.

Denzel remained silent for a moment, looking at Luna blankly. He hadn't gotten enough sleep, yet he still wanted the waking up early to be worth something. Visiting a Dragon Nest seemed like suicide, but...
-That is probably the most stupid idea I've heard in a while...- he grumbled, rubbing his left eye. -...If you decide to go, I'm definitely in! Seems both suicidal and adventurous enough for today, and we could learn something about the nests to make up for the school day, some survival instead of technique for a change!- was the addition to the statement, said with a slight sense of curiosity instead of tiredness. Denzel's eyes gleamed slightly as he said that, a smile crawling its way to his face. He knew that all dragons shoot to kill, that was repeated tons of times a week by the people around the place, but babies or young dragons could be foolish enough to let them pass without much warning, and would also be easier to take on. After his thoughts were settled, he looked around to see if someone else was as willing as him.

Luna greeted her sister and said "Good morning, sleepyhead" as she watched Lacota and Denzel walk towards them. She nodded at Denzel, "I'm actually pretty curious what the eggs look like, I've never seen one" She said and looked over the group. "I mean are you not curious?" She asked them and stood up, too impatient to wait for answer she said "It can't be that far away from here". Luna thought about last time the dragons attacked their village. They took a lot of sheep and almost destroyed their house. She looked over to the peer and saw a small empty ship. "Maybe we could take that one?" She thought for herself. It was spring and it had been raining all night but now the sun finally started to look through the clouds. "The dragons are dead anyway" She murmured and sat down beside her sister again.

Kaolin has heard enough to make up her mind. "Dragons? I'm in! Let's see that nest." She jumped up and headed towards the doors of the academy. "In case some dragons are alive, shouldn't we have some weapons? You know, for protection." She looked around at the others. Turning back to the academy building, she swung open the larges doors, revealing a huge pit used for training. A door near the entrance lead to a closet holding all the weapons. "Weapons anyone?" She extended her arms out toward the closet and waved them.

Echo's Mind drifted for a few moments. "S-Searching for Nest?" She took a short breath in "I-I don't know what if we're caught?" she spoke in a whisper to her self. She began to fiddle with her hair again. She was Panicking in her mind already. She wanted to go with her friends but she was also afraid of getting in trouble or meeting something troubling when they arrive at a nest. "Ok! I-I'll go" she took another breath of air in. "If you don't mind? I'll take a dagger or Two" she said going to the closet she opened it grabbing two daggers. "What about food and supplies? " she began as she was backing away from the closet "We can't just go to a place unknown with just a ship and weapons" she finished.

Maria grinned, "Cool! Dragons sound awesome, though if they're babies we might not need to hurt em." She then went to Kaolin, "I hope they have a bow and arrow!" She smiled. Finding dragons would be totally extrodinary. "Imagine....the first dragon tamers!" Maria clapped her hands, excitedly. "I always wanted to fly!"

Luna stood up and walked to the closet. "Can you hand me a knife and maybe a sword?" She said and pointed at a small knife. "Dragon tamers? Isn't that a bit overboard, Maria?" Luna asked. She turned around and said "And yes we will have to take food and water supplies with us. But we have to be back before sunset, our parents will get crazy if they don't know where we are" She said as she grabbed the sword and a sharpener. "I also saw a small empty ship that would be good for us to sail on... does anyone know how to sail a ship?" Luna asked awkwardly, "And where is the island?" She asked and started to sharpen her sword. She glanced over to her sister, Kaolin and thought about what their parents would do if something happened to them. She tried to shake that feeling off and looked over to Lacota. "What are you writing?" She said and moved closer to him and looked at his paper.
