Kade glared at the more arrogant male, then turned her gaze on Raven. "Forgiven but not forgotten," she said, letting her fur relax. She smelled Dakota come up at her side and liked that he was with them; it was a show of strength, and strength was always good. As long as it was on their side.

With a jerk of her head, Kade beckoned the pair to follow her and began the walk back to where Remington and the others where.

She emerged into the clearing once again and located the alpha pair, walking up to them with Marcel and Raven in tow. "I heard these two not far from here. When I found them, I offered to bring them to you, Remington, Velvet," Kade said to the pair. "Marcel and Raven are their names." She did not mention that she had been offended by the former when they met; it was something to be discussed later.

Rivers looked up as Kade entered the clearing, followed by two strange males. She padded over to where the beta seemed to be talking with Remington and Velvet and sat a respectful distance away to hear who the new males where, and if they'd be accepted into the pack. One had an arrogant air around him and she smelled faded aggression on Kade; she'd probably put him in his place recently.

Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though)

Remington couldn't help but smile at the soft licking on the top of his head done by his sweet mate. He thought all the time about how lucky he was to be a wolf. Wolves are fast, cunning, strong, and have great smell and hearing. Wolves can smell when a female is in heat, they can smell for long distances, they can find there food. Remington loved the scent attached to Velvet, he wouldn't have to look or think twice about her coming, because her smell could carry for miles.

Remington lifted his head high to the sudden commotion and the sight of a darker wolf running into Kade. Remington could tell this male was younger and was most certainly nervous, while having a face full of quills. Remington nudged Velvet as he stood watching the male. Even though Remington knew how the others felt about males getting into fights and establishing dominance, it was still in a males nature to keep the others in line. Remington was not to concerned about the ones that were already part of the pack but new ones got him dazzled a bit. He stood a bit away from them until he started to see him go towards Luna. Even though Luna was a handful and not his blood pup, she was part of the pack and would not let a newcomer touch her, he felt protective. A Remington start to walk over, he stopped himself, Luna looked at this new wolf happy and saw in her excitement she hasn't had. Remington growled and rolled his eyes sighing and walking over in Kade's direction as more male wolves were coming.

Remington saw two more male wolves that Kade had also found. Remington was still struggling as it was to remember and get to know his original pack mates better. In confusion and a lot to take in he called for another gathering so he could get EVERYONE together, pack founders and new wolves. Having them all around him in one place would make it easier for himself to take in everyone's scent and see them. Remington walked back over to Velvet and stood by her side and bellowed a howl from deep inside to get there attention, the howl was quite loud and felt bad to do it so close to Velvet. After he howled hoping to get everyone's attention he spoke loudly, "Everyone! Friends, wolves, pack mates, new comers and strangers please come. I would like to have a very important meeting and announce our departure! New wolves who have just arrived or that are in hiding right now please come forth to! " He looked around at all the wolves and sat his hind down rubbing against Velvet's as he did.

As he waited for all the wolves to come around him he looked down to Velvet leaning down, "This is it lovely, we will be heading out. And no matter what I swear on my life that I will protect you until the end of time even if I am gone and dead I will still watch over you. I promise." I nuzzled her softly on the cheek, he wished he could just say the big three words..I love you... but didn't want to rush things even though thats how he felt. He cared about everyone in his pack, but he loved Velvet and would die for her. Now that they would be on a long journey with dangers all around them he had to swear he would keep her safe, and the pack they lead.

Raven & Marcel | Males | 2 & 4 | Unranked | Mentions: Kade, Remington

Marcel kept his tail down as Raven had instructed, but the proud male refused to lower his head. Why should he? Just because this bossy female he didn't even know wasn't fond of his attitude? Too bad for her. Marcel owed her nothing. He could feel Raven's golden gaze burning into his pelt and ignored his travel companion. Even as they approached the other wolves his stride was still quite confident and flamboyant. He had expected the Alpha to speak with them directly, but instead the male seemed to step back to the wolf Marcel assumed was his mate and howled for a meeting. He and Raven shared a confused glance before looking back to Kade. Raven seemed as if he intended to wait for her to tell him what to do. Marcel merely shrugged before pushing ahead of them both, trotting to stand near the front of the crowd.

Raoula lay in the sun-flecked shade, pondering. There seemed to be new wolves about, and though she felt quite comfortable with the pack, she preferred to keep away from the strangers, to stay by herself. Her thoughts wandered back to her old pack. Had any of them survived the earthquake? She couldn't know, would never know.
A howl from Remington interrupted her thoughts. He was summoning all the wolves for a meeting. Yawning, Raoula got up, shook leaves from her pelt and padded over to him, questions swarming in her mind. As she neared, Marcel pushed ahead and sat down; she flinched away from him, before she remembered she was protected by a pack. She found a spot opposite Remington and sat down to listen to what he had to say.

Aatu|Male|5 years old|Fighter

Aatu sighed and shook his head as Luna ignored him completely, focusing her attentions on the new wolf, Toki. He turned to look at the wolves, and managed to remember most of their names, though their pack was fast growing. He shook himself and padded off, before he heard the howling call of Remington. He was probably going to give ranks to the new wolves, Aatu thought as he went, nodding in a friendly manner to the other wolves as he passed them.
He found somewhere to sit and readied himself to listen to what the alpha had to say.

Dakota heard Remington's howl and followed Kade towards him. One of the males walked ahead, so Dakota decided to walk beside him. Dakota liked him, he didn't know if he was trying to be ignorant or amusing, but Dakota found it entertaining. As they approached the alphas, Dakota stood back, expecting the others to shut down the confident male.

Cyber | Female | 3 years old | Pup Sitter

Cyber looked up as Remington howled and stood to her feet. She took a moment to stretch, then walked towards the alphas. She sat down and waited for the rest of the group. She saw with Kade two stranger males. One seemed very confident and made Cyber uncomfortable. Why would he be so confident while surrounded by stranger wolves? It confused Cyber.

((Okay I don't have too much time and I can't write a full post right now but let's say that Rivers went to sit beside Dakota, and Kade is sitting sort of behind and to the side of Remington, on the opposite side from Velvet. So sorry! My dad likes to take the internet cord at night and when he isn't home so it's hard for me to get full posts out sometimes.))

Mariposa perked her ears at the howl and gracefully followed after Dakota. She held back a snicker of amusement at the strange male and she rose her head up and arched her neck, making it so she almost seemed to look down on the male. She stood with her tail up, but below Remington's she wasn't going to make this strange male feel more dominant. She flicked her ears and looked him over.

Sollux was disturbed in his rest by a voice behind him, the alphas. He got to his paws, and stretched, yawned. He strode over. About us moving out? He was a bit excited for this. He had been waiting to get a move on, away from the more familiar woods and into the wild, mysterious mountains that lie ahead.

When he came over, he sat, his strange eyes set on Remington and Velvet. He sat more towards the back, but he could still see the two new wolves there near the front. He might approach them later to find out who they are, as he would like to know who was in the pack. For now, he would listen, then approach them after.

Nova listened closely,watching the emotions cross over Lyalls face as he told his story. After he finished, she saw him look at her with concern, as if he was afraid something he had said would make her think less of him. Nova was silent for a few moments thinking deeply then, finally,she spoke. “ I never knew my family, Lyall, but Romak was as close as I came and the thought of him hating me makes me feel rotten inside. I can’t even imagine what emotions you’ve gone through,knowing that your true father hated you,believing your mother dead, and unable to stop your sisters from becoming omegas.” Nova shook her head, then raised her eyes and looked at Lyall with respect and understanding.

”You can not blame yourself for the death of your sisters ,Lyall, it was a horrible accident,but an accident none the less. My mentor used to say that everything happens for a reason, usually more than one. That was hard for me to believe, especially after he died saving my life during the earthquake and the following month when I saw just how terrible wolves could be….to each other, as well as others. But, like always, I am starting to believe he was right...though I don’t completely trust the wolves around me, most seem nice and all of them have a common goal...to forge a better future for themselves. For whatever reason, the wolves in this clearing survived the earthquake's devastation and despite everything we are forming a pack...and making new rules...perhaps that is one of the reasons for the earthquake. All I know is that I see hope in the eyes around me….something I have not seen,even before the earthquake.” The small, star speckled onyx female paused, looked Lyall straight in his eyes and added in a frighteningly serious and quiet voice. And if your father did survive the earthquake and tries to harm you... I will fight beside you. " The comment should have seemed silly coming from the small wolf, but there was something in her stance,her eyes or perhaps her voice that would have made any wolf take her words dead seriously.

The whole time Lyall and Nova had been talking Ro had been sitting protectively in front of Nova, eyeing the big red male wolf suspiciously. Until Lyall flattered him. Nova thought, laughing mentally. “It looks like you won over Ro with your compliments Lyall.” Nova said watching the bird preen as if he had understood Lyall’s complimenting words and perhaps,on some level,the magpie had.

At that moment Remington let out a deep howl that seemed to vibrate in the air for a few seconds before quieting. ”It looks like Remington wants us to join him, come on, lets see what he has to say.” Nova said, gracefully standing up she started to walk towards the impressive alpha, but paused for a second to see if the interesting male wolf she had been talking too was following. So many possibilities...so many different paths.I wonder where they’ll lead. Nova thought, her ever present curiosity sparking as she looked at the male walking beside her,the forest surrounding her and the many different wolves gathering in front of her.



Again I didn't edit...I probably won't be able to post tomorrow due to my brother hogging all the internet my family had. Brothers ugg, Love umm but sometimes wish they had an off button. Tell me if anything seems off, always trying to get better at writing. ;)

Velvet’s appearance

Velvet’s attention was caught when Kade reappeared, looking slightly bristled as if she’d recently been agitated. She looked up at the two males following her, one obviously older than the other. There was a strange scent attached to the older one, and both seemed ill at ease. She thought it strange, their posture, especially that of the older. Something was just…off…about them. Kade introduced them as Raven and Marcel, and Velvet nodded her head. She waited as Remington howled to the pack, calling them together, before responding to him.

”And I’ll stand beside you, Remington,” she nuzzled him, smiling, ”For as long as I can.” She looked back at the strangers Kade had showed up with. ”Hello, my name is Velvet, and this is Remington,” she gestured to him, ”Are you looking to join our pack?” She frowned and tensed a little as Marcel pushed forward, posture far too strong for a wolf not even part of the pack. She narrowed her eyes and leant forward, sniffing. He was the source of the strange scent. She couldn’t figure out what it was. She probably looked rude staring for so long, but he himself was being rude. Never having been a high ranked wolf before, she’d yet to learn offense at a lower wolf acting too big for himself. She expected Remington would have something to say about it though.

Looking further out at the pack, she saw that the femme with the magpie companion had gathered. Her starry pelt reminded Velvet of Remington and she thought for a moment, wondering where the male had disappeared to. She hoped he was okay, wherever he’d gone. She gave Remington a lick on the cheek before trotting over to the female. ”Hello there,” she smiled, ”I don’t believe we’ve met. I’m Velvet, and you? I’m sorry if I’m bothering you, but I’m just very curious about the bird that seems to be following you.” She tilted her head, hoping for an answer while the rest of the pack finished gathering.

Marcel's ears flicked in unspoken acknowledgement when another male wolf had begun to walk beside him. He had sent Dakota a mildly curious look before pulling ahead of him to sit down. Now the wolf known as Velvet was speaking to him and...sniffing him quite intently. He wasn't sure what all that was about, but he boldly leaned forward and gave her a sniff in return. Maybe this was some sort of weird wild wolf custom. "Indeed we are. I'm Marcel and this is Raven," he said, motioning with his tail towards the anxious black and white wolf behind him. "We have been traveling for a long time on our own, but your Beta has informed us we are all heading to the same place."

When Kade gave him no further instructions Raven shifted from paw to paw awkwardly before following Marcel over to where the other wolves had gathered. He stayed to the back at a respectful distance, not wanting to appear as rude and pushy as Marcel must be. His eyes fell on the Alpha pair and he was about to answer Velvet when Marcel did it for him. "It would be an honor if you would allow us to join you," he piped up hastily, hoping his socially inept friend hadn't offended them yet. "We have longed for the company and safety of pack life since the earthquake. I promise you now if you accept us we will do our best to contribute to your group and you will have our loyalty until the day we die."

Kade sighed as Marcel sniffed Velvet. "Why in the world did you just sniff her?!" she asked. "She was smelling you because you smell really weird; it isn't like, a greeting or anything." She remembered the smell and why he smelled so strange, suddenly. The male reeked of humans. "You smell like humans. I think most the wolves here haven't ever smelled a human but I have and I hate them."

Her voice betrayed extreme dislike and aggression towards humans in general, but Kade just sat down in her place on the other side of Remington and looked over the pack gathering around the three of them. For some reason, a little part of her was hoping that Azazel would come up out of the forest, and he'd probably make a big scene about being left in the woods or something. But he didn't.

Rivers padded up to where Dakota was sitting and took her own place beside him, close enough that their fur was touching, but far enough that she wasn't invading his space too much. "Hey," she whispered, glancing over to him. She saw Kade out of the corner of her eye; the beta looked like she was talking to Velvet and Marcel, but after a moment she returned to looking over the pack. Rivers just shrugged. It wasn't her business.

Dakota watched as Rivers sat close beside him. "Hey," he responded to her, moving closer so their bodies were touching. "I like him," he said guestering to Marcel. He tried to contain his laughter as the male sniffed Velvet. Just then he heard Kade point it out and question him about it. Dakota couldn't help himself and he tried to stop his laughter. "He kills me!" He whispered to Rivers, out of breath. Dakota smiled at Rivers and slightly leaned against her, waiting for Remington to speak.

Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though)

As the wolves started to gather in and come in front of him and Velvet, remaining by his mate's side. Remington then left for only a split second to go check on Luna again, but when he turned to head back to Velvet he saw the stranger male sniff her. Remington had ignored the fact he walked and acted as if he was running the show. No wolf should have their tail held higher than the alphas except the alphas them self, unless challenging them. Seeing as this male was not even accepted into the pack yet, and had the nerve to act the way he was made him upset. He could live with an over confident and over bold male, but smelling Velvet set off a bomb inside of Remington. He pinned his ears down, and kept his tail high and walked back over to where everyone had gathered and walked in between Velvet and Marcel, turning to face Marcel blocking Velvet from him. Remington curled part of his lip , revealing his canines and growled. He wasn't interested in fighting, but was also not interested in sharing his favorite thing in the world either. Remington lifted his head high and looked down on the male trying to make it clear to him that he was in no place to be acting like he was. "Your are a stranger among us, new and can't be trusted yet. Walking into a pack so bold as if everyone below you is NO way to get us to like you or accept you. That is my female you just smelt, keep your distance and have some respect or you can go back the way you came." Remington knew he sounded firm and harsh, but messing with his girl was one thing you didn't want to do, especially since he is alpha and her his mate.

Remington growled again and turned to Velvet nudging her softly to back up a bit so that they weren't so close to him. He then sat down closely beside her looking to all the wolves who had gathered before him. "For those who are new and strangers to us most of this might confuse you, but I will be conversing with each of you before we leave to give you a place in the pack and let you know our plans. For those who have already been given ranks and know your place, and what are destination is listen closely. It is only mid-day we have plenty of time to travel a couple miles before we must rest for the night. Staying here to much longer will get us attached and make our journey yet even longer. Most of our journey starts in the forest like this, trees and trees for miles then it changes. Most of you are old enough to know the dangers, so all of us must keep our eyes and ears sharp at all times. Every night that we stop to rest hunters and scouts will head out and bring back food for our pack. My plan is to stay close by to fresh water so we can keep hydrated through the night as we please. We are a pack now, we might not be blood but we are family, we must work and help each other that is our job, we all do our part." Remington finished speaking and looked at all the wolves.

"I would like to take the three males that have arrived aside please." Remington then stepped forward to the male named Marcel and looked at him with still a sharp face. "Starting with you, follow me." Remington walked over to the side away from all the other wolves but still in sight so he could still see Velvet. He was still angered with this male, but would try and keep his cool unless he wanted to fight with him, then he wouldn't hesitate to take it out on him. Remington didn't enjoy fighting unless driven by desire of some sort, he was above that thought and never did it for fun and pleasure. Remington stood the tall, tail high, chest puffed out and muscles tensed hoping to intimidate the wolf. "So, why do you want to join our pack exactly? You have already made a bad impression so here is your chance to make up for it." Remington's eyes narrowed as he watched the male in front of him watching every muscles twitch and fur on his body move.

Mariposa growled lightly at Marcel as he sniffed Velvet. She bristled a little. She stiffened beside Rivers and she tensed her toes. She listened to Remington intently as he warned the male. Mariposa gave Marcel a glare as she settled back a little and shot a glance at Dakota.
