Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with. Before each post you must put this: With Alpha's name's Pack Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Spring is still here and flowers will soon bloom. Character SheetsNo thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.0 players like this post! Dakota | Male | 2 years old | Lead Hunter Dakota loved having Rivers so close to him. However, with nothing going on, he had time to think about his pack. It didn't make him upset or sad, so he didn't really mind. While sitting with Rivers, he remembered a pack that was close to his father's. Well, specifically he remembered one of the females from that pack. He was considering taking her for his mate and starting his own pack. That was until the earthquake. He shook that memory from his mind and snuggled up to Rivers. Cyber | Female | 3 years old | Pup Sitter Cyber was thinking of talking with Luna, but decided to give the pup some space. If she wanted to talk to Cyber, then she would. Instead, Cyber layed down off to the side and waited for further instruction from Remington. She was very excited to get to the Valley of Hope, but she was also very nervous. What if Flora wasn't there? It would break Cyber's heart. She couldn't bear the thought of losing her sister. Memories of the damaged territory flooded her mind. Flora was the only one not there. She saw her fathers body, her older brothers, her mothers, but not Flora's. Cyber prayed that she was right, and that she would soon be reunited with her once again. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sollux || Male || 4 years, 2 months|| Hunter -- The brown wolf huffed at the alphas words. More delay? He sighed and looked around. It seemed everyone was happy, with someone.. He shook his head slightly. Not a time to worry about that. Especially since Rivers had found a mate. That made him happy, now that she was happy. Honestly, Sol would have liked her himself, but she would be more happy with Dakota then with him. Hesitantly, he got to his paw and padded over. It would be nice to converse with her, and Dakota. "Hello," he greeted, "I hope I'm not bothering you. " He chuckled, and a rare smile tugged to his face. "May I come converse with the both of you?" Rivers || Female || 3 years || Scout Rivers grinned, ecstatic, as Sollux joined them. "Of course!" she answered. "Actually, I was just thinking about you; I want to apologize for just walking off like that. All of the new wolves around were making me a bit nervous." He thought she was beautiful, too, which majorly boosted her self-esteem. After years of being told no male would ever think she was even remotely attractive, having two that considered her pretty was slightly startling, but in a good way. Dakota | Male | 2 years | Lead Hunter "Hey Sollux," Dakota said to the male. He was glad he had come to talk, he wanted to get to know the hunters. "No you're not bothering us," Dakota smiled at him. He didn't really know Sollux, but he definitely wanted to. He remembered how they were talking before, and a thought hit him. Did they like each other? Dakota felt a bit uncomfortable. He didn't want to pull her away from him, but he didn't want to give her up either. Dakota sat up and stopped leaning on her. He didn't want Sollux to feel uncomfortable either. Cyber | Female | 2 years | Pup Sitter Cyber watched the group and decided to get to know some of her pack mates. She walked over to Marcel. "Hey," she said smiling. "I'm sorry if this is inappropriate, but why did you smell like humans?" She asked him. She didn't want to pry, but she was curious. She'd never seen a human before, but from what she's heard they seem quite dangerous. She walked him for a reply, hoping she wasn't triggering any horrible memories. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Marcel | Male | 4 | Pup | Mentions: Cyber, Remington Marcel watched silently as Raven and the other two new males approached Remington to speak with the Alpha as he had only moments before. If the brute was willing to accept a wolf like him into the pack he was certain Raven had nothing to worry about. He began looking around the entire clearing, committing each wolf he saw to his memory. Marcel was very sharp in that regard. He hardly ever forgot anything. A moment later and the she-wolf known as Cyber came trotting up to him looking curious. He'd overheard her mention she was a pup-sitter. 'Guess she's one of my new 'mentors' then,' he thought to himself. Still embarrassed and a little angry he was being labeled as a pup even if Remington had meant well. "Hello," he greeted back, giving her a friendly smile. The complete opposite of his currently resentful mood. He was good at faking emotions. He'd been doing it his whole life after all. "I don't mind your asking at all. You certainly have a right to know if I'm going to be joining your pack," he replied warmly. "I was a captive wolf until the earthquake. The humans fed me and looked after me, but they always kept me in this awful cage. Other humans would come and pay my own... The man who put me in the cage so they could stare at me. Sometimes he would let them pet me. I didn't dare bite. If I so much as growled I'd get a beating for it later." He almost felt bad, slandering his former master in such a way, but he couldn't let these wolves know he was a pet. Raven had warned him of admitting to that right off the bat. It was better this new pack thought he had been held against his will. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sollux || Male || 4 years, 2 months || Hunter -- Sol grinned , glad they both wanted to speak with him. He came in sat beside Rivers. "Fantastic . How are the both of you today?" He felt a joyous warmth inside , happy that Rivers, too, had been thinking of him. "Frankly, I feel fantastic." He chuckled and looked at the both of them. Part of him hoped that Rivers and Dakota had not become mates yet. They hadn't said so, and the gestures they shared could be friendly. He wanted her as his mate, he knew, but Dakota obviously likes her, and vise versa. Does Rivers like me? he wondered. Addressed to: Rivers, Dakota (#OhISee x3) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rivers || Female || 3 years || Scout Mentions: Sollux, Dakota Rivers adjusted herself so that she was in physical contact with both males. "I'm great," she answered, laughing a little. "You didn't sleep for that long." She gave him a gentle bump on his shoulder with her own. "I'm honestly a little nervous about leaving," Rivers admitted, speaking to both Dakota and Sollux. "But we have to - it isn't like we can just stay here; the pack will leave us. And we do have somewhere better to go." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sollux || Male || 4 years, 2 months || Hunter -- He chuckled. "It felt like forever." He nodded. "I think all of us are a little nervous, weather we admit it or not." He turned his head to look around at the others. "Honestly, you'd be stupid to be not even the slightest bit scared. We don't really know what is out there." Sol turned back to look at Rivers. "Besides, I think everyone is willing to risk their lives for one another, we are a pack." He gave her a reassuring smile. "You'll be completely safe, I promise we'll all get through this, if it's that last thing I do." Sollux inhaled. He had worded nicely, making the last comment even directed towards everyone. His smile widened. He hadn't smiled so much, he believed, since before the earthquake. Was he finally lightening up? Part of him couldn't believe himself, semi-flirting so casually, letting his words slip from his mind into the air so easily. It's going to you in trouble.. said a voice in his head. He huffed and shuffled a bit closer. "Do you think this place - The Valley of Hope - is really as great as they say it is? That we really will find a new life, full of joy and practically endless wellness?" He pondered aloud. "I hope it will be. I hope we aren't taking this dreadful trip for bloody nothing." Though, for some reason, he couldn't get it into his head that it Isn't real. The alpha had to be pretty stupid to take them somewhere that was non-existent and simply for boosting our hopes. He couldn't think of anyone dying, either. They were traveling to a place of safety- The ancestors would, must protect them. Addressed to: Rivers, Dakota 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cyber | Female | 3 years | Pup Sitter Cyber listened to Marcel's story curiously. "So, have you ever been part of a real wolf pack before?" She asked the male. Something about him seemed... off, but Cyber couldn't figure out what it was. "My father was part dog. He was a stray in a town and my mother was part of a wolf pack that lived nearby. My father and mother left their families to start a new pack with me and my sister," Cyber told him. At the mention of her sister, Cyber tried to block out the memories. She didn't want to hide her sadness, but she didn't want the sympathy of others either. They've all lost someone close to them. Some part of her missed being on her own. She liked only having to care for herself and being able to do the things she wanted. She doesn't like following someone's orders... although she knows she has to, and will. But she's smart, she needs these wolves to help her find her sister, she'll never make it that far on her own. So until the Valley of Hope, she socialize and hopefully make friends, or at least good relationships. She did like these wolves, they were friendly, but she couldn't see herself with pups or a mate. She just wanted her sister. Dakota | Male | 2 years | Lead Hunter Dakota picked up on Sollux's flirting and felt protective. He felt silly feeling protective over her, but he couldn't help it, he liked her. He thought for a moment and decided to make things easy for them. He didn't want her to have to choose and he didn't want him and Sollux to have a bad relationship. With anyone else, Dakota would have fought for what he wanted. He would have challenged Sollux for Rivers in a heart beat... Dakota hated losing. Whether it was an argument or a fight, he hated it. But, respectfully, he backed down. Without a word, he stood up and walked away from them. He didn't mind the thought of them together, they were cute and Sollux was sweet to her. He just wished he could have been her mate. He wanted to be able to call her his and protect her, and maybe one day their pups. He wanted to be a father. But Sollux could do that too, maybe even better. Sollux was older and might have even had a mate or pups before the earthquake. Maybe to Rivers, Dakota was inexperienced. But he wouldn't dwell on it. Instead Dakota decide to try and take his mind off things and approached Velvet. "Excited to leave?" He asked her, faking a smile. "If the rumours are true, it'd be the perfect place to raise pups," he nudged her playfully. "I'm sorry, I know people must've been bugging you two a lot about that lately, but you guys are so perfect together," he told her. He caught his emotions getting the best of him and tried to shake the thoughts. "You'd be good parents," he corrected himself. 0 players like this post! Like? Rivers || Female || 3 years || Scout Rivers felt an absolutely heartbreaking sense of loss as Dakota walked away. She glanced after him, but if he wanted to leave, it was his choice. She wasn't going to make him stay there. "I'm sure it's real," she answered, after a moment. The she-wolf picked up on the casual flirting, and smiled a little to herself. I am attractive, Rivers thought. It bothered her that Dakota had just walked away, but her smile for Sollux was genuine. The problem was that both males made her happy. Sollux was a better choice, because they were closer in age and he was more experienced, but she hated to hurt Dakota. "I hope I haven't hurt him," she murmured, as Sollux moved a little closer. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Marcel | Male | 4 | Pup | Mentions: Cyber "Unfortunately no. Unless you can consider just Raven and myself a pack," the blue-gray and black male replied jokingly. His ears twitched when Cyber mentioned she had some dog heritage from her father's side of the family. "I never would have figured that out. You look like a full wolf to me. The man who kept me owned dogs as well. I could always see them trotting around outside my cage." Marcel became aware that Cyber was holding something back and appeared almost sad. "Are you alright? I hope I haven't brought up any unpleasant memories. I know the earthquake must have been a terrible thing for most of you, but for me it was freedom. I sometimes forget that when I speak of it." That was true enough. Raven had his own horror story about the time the ground had shook. Though Marcel did miss his owner sometimes he enjoyed being wild more. It was easy to push the man from his mind now that he was gone forever. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 27/08/15 by Topaz (#33076) |

Cyber | Female | 3 years | Pup Sitter Cyber looked up at Marcel. "Oh, um, I just miss my sister," she told him. "I guess life must've been rough for you before the earthquake," she said. She felt bad for him. It must've been awful. "I grew up with my dad, my mom, two older brothers, my sister, and a little sister. I would have had two little brothers and four little sisters but five of them were killed. The winters were horrible." She went on. "My father died that spring and my oldest brother took over." She told him. She waited a second before continuing. "My dad liked the towns. He said the humans fed him and took care of him. He liked humans, I guess that was his downfall," She started feeling sad again, thinking of her fathers death, so she tried to change the subject. "So what rank did Remington assign you to?" She asked him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sollux || Male || 4 years, 2 months || Hunter -- Sollux gained a disappointed look on his face as he watched Dakota go. He hoped he was alright. Maybe I made him feel uncomfortable? he thought. "I don't think you have, or I hope not," he sighed. Did I hurt his feelings? "Anyway, yes, I'm sure it is." Sol tried to change the subject, not wanting a down mood to settle in. "I bet it will be grand. They'll be little pups running about, I'm sure, since we will be safe. Happy couples." He hoped he didn't sound to encouraging. "Plenty of food and everyone will be safe, yes?" He regained his smile and gave her a nudge. "Your a Scout, aren't you? We can go hunting together!" A goofy grin came onto his face, the overflow of happiness getting to him. Addressed to: Rivers, (Semi) Dakota (short buht eh. ) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rivers || Female || 3 years || Scout Mentions: Sollux Rivers grinned, her disappointment lightening as they talked. He made sense, survival-wise. Sollux offered the best bet for healthy pups, and it was a bonus that he made her feel like the sun was something he'd made for her. So, with a careful slowness, she gently nuzzled his neck. "I'd like pups," she murmured into his fur, her grin shifting into a smaller smile. Then he mentioned hunting. "Yeah, hunting would be fun," she agreed, scooting over so that she had to tilt her head back to look him in the face. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Marcel | Male | 4 | Pup | Mentions: Cyber Marcel was secretly delighted when Cyber went into her own history without being asked. He wanted to learn as much about all of these new wolves as he could. Information gathering had always been a particularly odd trait of his. He liked to know everything about everyone in case he ever needed to use it to his advantage somehow. His light green eyes widened slightly when she began speaking of cold winters and the deaths of her siblings. Was life in the wild that difficult? A seed of doubt began to worm it's way into his mind. Should he have found other humans to care for him rather than go feral? When Cyber seemed saddened by sharing her backstory he almost leaned forward to comfort her, but then remembered the incident with Velvet and held back. He likely didn't know her well enough for any of that yet. When she asked about his position in the pack he sent her a forced smile. "Since I don't know much about life as a wild wolf yet he said he was going to rank me as a pup for now. Surprise. You're stuck looking after me for awhile." 0 players like this post! Like?
