"To the secret river, Time to learn to catch fish." He was already moving towards the exit, slowing slightly for the large apprentice to catch up before walking again. Off towards the boundaries, farthest from the Duskfall pack, lay a river hidden inbetween large bolders and hills. "It's not to far off, I suppose we could reach it before sun-high." The male muttered as he glanced towards the sky with a slight tilt of his head, the river was a nice secluded place where wildlife was abundant.

"Im doing good," He said with a smile towards her, "I do not, I just got back from hunting actually, got a pretty good sized pheasant a wolf or two could enjoy." His peridot eyes turned back towards the lake, admiring the scenery from this new vantage point, eyes grazing over the wolves milling about camp. His thoughts turned for the worst for a split second before he slammed them down and locked them away, No getting emotional in camp!

| Nightingale | Female | 3 years 4 months | Healer | Lakeside gathering herbs

The wind on that came up off the lake had a very nice chill to it, not the biting chill of winter but one that seemed to pick the warm air up as well. A small she-wolf snorted as she nosed her way through a small bundle of lambs ear, nipping off the widest leaves, that had grown rather close to the water’s edge. Her nails clicking as she walked over the smooth stones now carrying the small pile up to where she had set the rest in a place between two rocks so they didn’t get swept off. Nightingale’s black ears rotated as she listened for any approaching danger or another wolf as she picked up two of the herb bundles to place on a wide leaf of lambs ear to carry back to her den. Picking it up delicately in her jaws, she set up a quick trot towards her den, eyes scanning the lake as she spotted a couple of her packmates by the lake’s edge but kept going about her daily routine.

Stretching out his lanky muscles and slowly standing up, the dark brown noble opened his jaws in a wide yawn before shaking out his fur and trotting down the slope from his den towards the water of the lake and the dens farther down the way with wary, tired eyes. His tail swung slightly as he walked closer, nose soon picking up the scent of some of his pack that had gathered at the edge of the water. Giving a twitch of his ear in greeting he settled in a bit farther along as he lapped up some water to help himself wake as he glanced around to see who was wake currently. He could see Kenai, Soren, Pine, and Falcon currently, Nightingale seemed to be up as well along with Snake probably skulking around somewhere in the campsite but chose to address the other higher ranking wolves rather than the lower class ones. ”Good morning Kenai, Soren, Falcon.” He said in a rough and hoarse voice, still thick with sleep as he glanced back out across the lake.

Soren dipped his head to Ragnor "Ragnor, good morning to you as well. Sweeping his head to Falcon once again, since technically this older male ranked above him, so all suspicions he had of this "secret river" would be shut down for a bit. Besides, he could hold his own in a fight with this wolf, his royal guard ceremony would be held sometime today or tomorrow anyway. "Alright let's go." Following the older male and catching up quickly, he gained a quick trot "Let's hurry, I want to be back before the sun slips behind the camp a few claws after sunhigh."

Snake nodded as Daemon spoke. "It must be nice sometimes, running around the territory hunting." As she said it, she drew her ears back and looked away. It was true, but she hardly wanted to raise up in the ranks. After all, if she became a higher rank, someone else would have to deal with the rude remarks and that daily routine. She turned her gaze to the pile of fresh kill for a moment. Yes, that pheasant was truly big enough, but she wouldn't get to sink her teeth into it unless the other wolves had no taste for it.

"Oh it is, it's amazing. Why don't you come next time? No one will notice and you'll love it." He said with a nod towards the plains behind them, it was brilliant to say the least. Noticing her gaze lock on the pheasant, "I can catch another if you want one, they are amazing to eat before bed." He said with a smirk, not caring much for how she had to deal with being bullied by the pack. "Maybe some hare or.. Oh my gosh! I wonder if we could find a snake!!"

"Morning Ragnor!" He called over his shoulder before trotting after Soren, picking up the pace a bit so they were at a near run. "Alright, lets go then." He said, moving along an invisible pathway as if he'd traveled it a million times before paw. They arrived not even thirty minutes later due to the swift pace, "Here we are." From this vantage point it was just a bunch of rocks and hills, Then Falcon began climing higher and higher to the crest of a smaller hill. "Oh do come on Soren." He said before disappearing down the slope and to a beautiful sight. Animals of all shapes and sizes moved around the river, quickly darting off at the sight of the wolves though, and fish jumped out of it to catch bugs flying over them.

Rising over the crest of the hill, he watched the fish break through the water and looked on in awe "Oh my! This is quite beautiful, Falcon. And the prey here is nearly untouched." He padded down the hill and stood beside Falcon. "Shall we begin fishing then?"

Snake looked back at Daemon, tilting her head. ".... That sounds interesting, but I think Kenai would notice if I left... But if you enjoy hunting, go right ahead." She stood up and yawned. "... But what would be the point of finding a snake? They might bite you and I don't think anyone's ever actually tried to eat one..." Unless, of course, he was making a joke about her name. That did cross her mind, but she didn't voice it.

Falcon||Male||3||Noble

"Right? It's amazing here to just watch the animals. Of course! Dive in." He said before walking to the waters edge and laying half-way in the cool water. His eyes never leaving the darting figures until his paw slammed upwards and his jaws opened, a fish landing inside his mouth as it wriggled and nearly made him fall over as he attempted to stand. He moved away from the edge and dropped the fish with a huff, "Nearly took me down." He said with a shake of his head, watching the fish flop about till it fell still and he watched the apprentice begin, ready to give pointers on it if needed.

He nodded, "I can talk to Kenai, I'm sure she wouldn't care!" He said as he jumped to his paws with a wag of his tail. "Whats the point? It's the battle thats fun! The way the move and strike, it's a great learning excersice!" He didn't realize that she maybe thought he was making fun of her, it never crossed his mind. Hunting was one of his favorite past times and having someone else there might let them get bigger prey!

Soren | Male | 20m | Apprentice (this'll be my last one for a while I HAVE to finish hw now XD)

Soren nodded and waded into the water watching the fish swim past him. He hadn't actually fished before, and was average at best with hunting, but he'd give it a try. Instead of using his massive paws, he waited until a fish came swimming right at him and plunge his head into the water, locking his jaws around the tail of the slimy creature, and threw it on the shore, shaking his head free of water.

"Good morning, Kenai." Derryn layed his ears back a little and dipped his head slightly before sitting up again. "I'm ready when you are. The hunters seem to be off to a good start so far." He commented, tilting his head towards the small pile of prey items, with Falcon taking Soren out, they should have more soon. "Was there anythin in particular you had in mind?"

The female tilted her head "Yes. My brother, Soren, is 20 months today. If he returns by the time the sun reaches the top of the mountain, I'd like to hold his Royal Guard Graduation Ceremony. Other than that, I'd like to think of a way to make the dens in the lower area of the mountain a little warmer. It's getting warmer during the day, but it's still cold at night, and even if we could just give each wolf a small pelt or two to curl up against/on, i think it'd make a big difference to everyone's soreness and aches, I'm sure Nightingale would appreciate that, especially with the aging wolves, who need medicine for their aches and pains already. I'd like to hold a mock battle for the Nobles and warriors, and possibly have a meeting with the scouts to go over anything they've seen lately. I feel uneasy, Derryn, I feel as though Duskfall is up to something, as usual."

Snake thought for a moment. ".. Well, if you want to, you can go ask her. I'm not telling you what to do. But if she says no, it wasn't my idea!" She automatically tucked her tail between her legs, thinking of what would possibly happen if one of that high of a rank found out she wanted to hunt. Would she be scarred? Chased out? Thrown into the lake? Of course, those were extremist thoughts, but she thought anything could happen.

Shaking her head, she looked back down at the lake. Had Soren gone out hunting? He must have, as Pine was also gone.

Kayip's black, fluffy coat was buffeted by a light, cool breeze. He snapped his eyes open and let them adjust to the dim light of the cave. Loki laid, curled up next to him, his breathes coming out evenly. The black apprentice sat up, letting a small layer of dirt and leaves roll off his pelt. Letting his paws carry him, Kayip stood and shoved his nose into Loki's slightly lighter fur, attempting to get him to wake up. He got bored quickly and left the den, quickly pacing to a small ledge on the mountainside, overlooking the lake. Wolves gathered below, talking in small pods and heading away from the camp. Letting in a deep breath, Kayip bounded down the hill. Once he reached the main area of wolves, he took a few sips of water and looked for a noble to follow after for the day. He spotted the large build of Ragnor, and trotted over, letting his head lower slightly. "Morning Ragnor. Do you mind if I follow you for the day? I wish to train in the ways of a noble wolf, so it would help a lot." He sat on his haunches and licked the tiny white spot on his chest.
