"Thank you. Catch something on the way, and make it obvious while you're there." He over explained, flashing an apologetic glance at the hunter, before walking with the him and the Omega. "I know. But we managed. I'll be more than happy to help where I can, but for now we need to worry about plumping back up. Winter was hard on us, and we're still showing it. We don't want to stay that way for long, or Duskfall will notice. I'll talk with Kenai about possibly getting scheduled hunts done as well. We need the food and quick, and luckily the deer will be coming down out of thw mountains." I rambled, unconsciously letting my tail flick anxiously.

Snake || Female || 2 || Omega

Snake nodded, standing and shaking her thicker fur. ".. Alright, I'm ready." She spoke, dipping her head respectfully to the Zeta, careful to keep her tail down. "I'll try and catch something, even if it's my first day out."

With that, she looked up one last time at where Soren stood before turning away, looking at Daemon. "So, lead the way."

Daemon||Male||3.5||Hunter

"Yes Zeta." He said with a dip of his head, raising his tail up and beginning to trot towards Duskfall's border. "Key on catching something, Be alert and don't let it see or smell you. Try to stay downwind or at least on high enough ground they won't smell you till last second." He attempted to explain, hunting was his passion but explaining exactly how to do it might be a bit challenging. "We can try for smaller prey this time around, maybe get some bigger birds since they'd be bedding down for the night.." He mused quietly, on the alert for the tell-tale signs of prey and other wildlife.

Snake || Female || 2 || Omega

Nodding as he spoke, she raised her ears to listen for any scuffling. However, it was obvious the Omega wasn't used to such terrain, even if she had lived there all her life. She was tripping over rocks that she couldn't completely see occasionally, but she was trying.

However, she quickly straightened herself up, sniffing the air. She wasn't sure exactly what to look out for, but..

Soren dipped his head respectfully to Derryn "I appreciate it, sir. I will give this pack my all, you can be sure of it." Nodding softly to him in farewell, he turned to meet the eyes of his sister, wagging his tail slightly to show his happiness and gratitude.

Kenai | 3 | Alpha

Smiling as her brother wagged his tail at her, she nodded to him and hopped off the ledge, padding over to see the pack dispersing, watching in slight suspicion as the zeta spoke with Daemon, "Derryn?" Keeping her voice low and serious, she waited for the beta to approach her, she was quite sure that the zeta and that particular hunter did not talk often, and the hunter himself didnt look all that thrilled, until he got a determined look in his eye, and headed for the... It couldnt be...could it? Yes. Definitely towards the Duskfall border. It's in that direction, and i dont recall a hutner and an omega ever 'practicing' their hunting and fighting near a rival pack's territory. Again, she spoke her thoughts "Derryn? Look at that. What do you presume they are doing, or heading?" she muttered, she tried to be a gentle alpha, but this just LOOKED fishy. Again, not eaten for a few days, might seem fine to everyone else, the zeta being the only lead at the moment, since daemon had chosen not to become kappa after the last one passed on.

I trotted over to where Kenai, Soren, and Derryn are. I nodded in greeting. "It'll be good to work with you, Soren. The pack will be in even better paws." I smiled slightly, before turning to Kenai. "Kenai." I greeted, and nodded lowly. "May the three of us speak? I have a few concerns I would like to converse about." I said the last part softly, not wanting anyone to overhear and become panicked. We don't need that right now.

Daemon||Male||3.5||Hunter

He chuckled quietly as she stumbled about, "Just keep calm Snake, We can slow down if needed." He said with a flick of his ear in her direction. His nose twitching as the faint scent of rabbit or something similar brushed across the wind. He grew serious, "Smell that change in the wind? Thats a rabbit, or something of the like, if we are quiet we can catch it... Come." He said before dropping into a hunters crouch and moving nearly silently across the dirt before him, maybe rustling a leave here and there but that was it. The grey creature came into view not long after, motioning to Snake, "You get it. Sneak up on it then pounce." He mouthed to her. Eyes never leaving the rabbit, the den wasn't far off. "I'll block the den." He disappeared and reappeared moments later, hovering behind the den.

Automatically, Snake dropped into a crouch, narrowing her eyes. She looked to the ground to make sure that she wasn't stepping on any twigs as she would, and she flinched when she lightly tread on some leaves. Looking back up at the rabbit and seeing Daemon near the den, she held her breath and pounced in the direction of the rabbit, kicking up a few leaves in the process.

Daemon||Male||3.5||Hunter

His tail snapped back and forth as she launched at the rabbit, her claws grazed it before the rabbit was darting in his direction. Instead of killing it, he barked and darted towards it, squealing the rabbit ran back towards Snake. "Get it!!" He barked out as he darted after the rabbit incase she missed the second time. You have this, come on Snake. He thought swiftly as he kept the rabbit on a straight path to the shewolf, the rabbit trying to outrun the wolf forgot all about the previous danger.

Suddenly snapping back into it, she leaped back to the rabbit, finally landing on top of it. Panicking, she slammed her paws down on it to try and keep it from squirming before snapping at its neck. She'd never had to kill something like a rabbit before, but...

Once it finally stopped moving, she took a step back and looked up at Daemon, tail wagging.

Derryn||4||Beta

Derryn nodded to Soren, then turned his head to look at Kenai when she called his name. His ears perked up, and he watched as Daemon and Snake went off in... "The Duskfall Border?" He shifted on his paws, the fur on his neck beginning to stand. This was unnacceptable without previous approval from him or the Alpha; they didn't need to carelessly start something. Before he could move to follow the pair, Tehcumseh approached. Glancing at Kenai, the large male turned in the direction of his den. "Come. We can speak in my den, its closer, and away from the others." Derryn kept his voice from being a growl, trotting towards his den and pushing inside the lichen. It was well sheltered, and spacious, but warm when it snowed.

He skidded to a stop next to her, "Nice catch!! Lets keep going to find a bit more. This is a good time to hunt since it's not just me." He muttered with a slight nod. Nodding for her to pick up the rabbit and follow him. Continuing their trek along the duskfall border, partially to strengthen it and do whatever the Zeta asked of him as they hunted. His nose to the ground to find fresh scents of prey.

Suspiciously glancing at Tecumseh before padding after Derryn, Kenai flicked her tail at Tecumseh, holding him back momentarily. If he didnt get e message it wouldnt be too hard to make it more clear for him. Sitting quietly on the floor of the den, she waited for him to get comfortable.
