Nora | Female | Softcall Forest | Interacting with Checkers, Open for Interaction She stopped walking, turning and smiling awkwardly at the dog. "Hello... there?" Nora said nervously, before moving in front of him, trying to at least be polite, although her tail was tucked so far in between her legs that you could barely see it. "Nice to meet you..." The Gerberian Shepsky said in a hushed tone, avoiding being too loud. He had a bad aura around him, but he was acting cheerful and excited. It was strange... was he delusional? Most likely, seeing that the environment was how it was. ![]() |

|Rudo|Female|German Shepherd|3 Years old| Location: Crossing into Softcall forest. Mentions: Mya The shepherd turns her head slowly as a howl erupts not too far from away. The noise sends a chill up her spine and her paws instinctively begin moving towards it. She pauses a moment as her feet leave pavement and sink into the soft, red grass. What was she doing? She didn't know who or what made that howl so why go towards it? They could be aggressive or deranged or.. she grunts quietly as she realizes she's moving again, directly towards where she heard the call. Her pace slows down as she catches the scent of another dog and she perks her large ears, her head turning back and forth like a radar dish to see if she could pick up any more noise with her one good ear. ![]() |

|Checkers|Male|Tamaskan Dog|4 Years old| Location: Softcall Forest | Mentions: Nora Checkers could see that she was afraid. Her tail was so far between her hind legs it was like it wasn't there in the first place. But even if she appeared outwardly confident, he would still know she was scared - he was great at reading others. And if he was honest to himself, he found it cute. He couldn't stand it if she didn't notice he was... not quite right. "Lovely to meet you as well," Checkers murmured, his voice too high and preppy. She was the first dog he had talked to in a while, after all. "My name is Checkers, of the breed of the Tamaskan Dogs. Now by what are you called?" ![]() |

|Zulu|Male|Pitbull Mix|Alleyways|Mentions: Manolo| See that the smaller dog had let his guard down slightly made his tail wag more as he dropped the crushed bone from his meal and set about cleaning blood off of the curly fur that showed along his chest, his posture still calm and relaxed to show he meant Manny no harm at all. He hadn’t been expecting the question that was asked though, it threw him off as he lifted his head and looked back down the alleyway with narrowed eyes. The shapes that seemed to grow closer were beginning to bother him, their whispering made him edgy, but he quickly looked back to the small male before opening his mouth to speak. ”I was born here Manolo, I was born within the Softcall forest and that’s where I normally stay. Until the fog rolls all the way into town, that’s when I slip in to catch food. What about you?” Talking seemed to make the figures hesitate and back off, his answer even making some of them fade in his mind. |Sclera|Male|Azawakh|Chernobyl Darkblood|Healer|Supermarket|Open for Interaction| The thin black shape had a smaller shape clutched in its jaws, claws ‘tic-ing’ over the once clean store floor as the canine moved towards the exit with an easy gait. His extra limbs making his movements seem much more fluid then they really were. Blood splattered the floor underneath his paws as the fat feline in his jaws started trying to escape again, snarling he gave a shake of his head and further widening the blood trail into splatters till the cat quit moving. Satisfied with his catch, he continued towards the area where he knew the Darkbloods most likely were. He could hear his stomach growling in hunger, his insides clawing at themselves out of hunger but he didn’t even think of eating his catch as an option at the moment. He would later if there was anything left to be had, but for the moment there were others that needed the food more than he did. ![]() Edited on 29/11/15 @ 21:39:42 by Headless (#39277) |

Kade | Female | 4 years | Doberman Pinscher Mentions: Roman Location: Softcall Forest Kade shuddered ever-so-slightly as he asked. Before answering, she removed the speck of blood and took a moment to compose herself. "Once," she whispered, barely audible, though it was apparent that this would not be something she repeated. "I killed one time, in self-defense, and I never plan to again. It was a year and a few months ago, and I was still alone, and I still dreamed, though I slept more regularly then and could be woken. I was in heat at the time but hadn't seen anyone around for quite a while, so I thought everything was fine. And I was woken, cornered, by some male . . ." It seemed that whatever happened after that was too horrible for her to speak of. After a moment or so, Kade sighed and continued, "Well, I didn't get him that time, but a few days later I happened upon him and he attacked me. I ripped his throat out. At least I'd been able to be woken at that point. I don't know what I'd have done if it happened now." A single tear rolled down her face and dropped to the ground. ![]() Edited on 30/11/15 @ 15:15:34 by Nyanunix | MusicalAgony (#11487) |

|Sclera|Male|Azawakh|Chernobyl Darkblood|Healer|Darkblood Camp|Mentions: North, General Pack| His eyes flickered over the camp curiously when he entered the building, his head tilting and spilling a few more splatters of blood as he watched the other dogs struggle to form a hunting party. Sclera took another sweeping glance of the cult’s camp with a hum before moving forward with a purposeful stride, head held high as moved towards where North was busy snarling out his orders and demands. Stopping a few paces from the much bulkier brute, he dropped the cat and stepped back to bow slightly, respectfully. ”My own hunt was successful, seeing as Sobaka has yet to return with any food.’’ He spoke calmly, his voice cold and distant as he stood back up properly. He truly hoped that the shaky borzoi came back with something else as well, knowing that a cat may not be much to eat for North. But atleast it was something. ![]() |

Nora | Female | Softcall Forest | Interacting with Checkers, Open for Interaction She cleared her throat and nodded. To be honest, his cheery tone comforted her in a way. Like how a human would baby-talk a puppy or cute dog. But this did not stop her from feeling intimidated. "I am... Nora, a Gerberian Shepsky. In other words, a German Shepherd, Siberian Husky hybrid." Nora said, smiling an awkward, toothy smile. "Please forgive me if I am being rude." The sporty dog said, heads swiveling backwards, keeping her head low. This made her look up at him in a way that looked like a begging puppy. ![]() |

|Checkers|Male|Tamaskan Dog|4 Years old|Chernobyl Darkblood|Lieutenant Location: Softcall Forest | Mentions: Nora Shy one, wasn't she? This was good for Nora, since Checkers hated dogs that acted all superior. Instead of snapping at her, he inclined his head. "You aren't being rude at all, dear," he said kindly. He thought he heard a sudden noise to the right, and he jerked his head in that direction. I swear, if that's another cat... Checkers thought darkly. He turned back to Nora. Looking at her reminded him of an old friend of his... Not Billy, of course, but a dog that was actually on his level. North, that had been his name. Well, Checkers liked to call him King, and sometimes Emperor to see his reaction. He had been the opposite of this dog - intimidating, powerful, and the lord of dogs. How Checkers wanted to see his friend again. Him or any of his group, really. Suddenly, he found himself asking, "You wouldn't have happened to see any dogs around here, would you? They're a bit like me, if you know what I mean." He awkwardly lifted his paw and pawed his face, indicating how he wasn't 'right' in the head. Hopefully she would understand. "The leader If you haven't, then that's fine." ![]() |

Kade | Female | 4 years | Doberman Pinscher Mentions: Roman Location: Softcall Forest Kade laughed a little, her voice too high-pitched before it became normal again. "I'm not sad because I killed him; I'd do it again for myself or any other female in that type of danger," she explained softly, accepting his touch. It had been a very long time since she'd so much as spoken to another dog and even longer since she'd cried, and now she didn't know what to do and some kind of fear consumed her that Roman would think she was terrible and disgusting even though that was completely irrational and she knew it. But she held the tears at bay and drew herself up, all iron and steel, refusing to bend for the world. Kade nodded at his apology. "It isn't your fault," she whispered. "You didn't know, and now you do." ((Honestly, I don't know what to do with Proko right now so I'm probably gonna have him stumble across a small group in my next post.)) ![]() |

Inconnu | Genderless/Male | Basenji | 2yrs 8mnths Location | Streets Mentions | Skins & Butcher Significantly cowed by the pale dog's accusation, he cowered close to the asphalt beneath his paws, tail shivering in the desire to tuck between his legs. Between the two, the female was almost more intimidating -- though the basenji had always been unnerved by any dog so long and thin, with their bones poking through the parchment of their skin. They were like living skeletons -- undead beings that rested one paw in the grave, but were reluctant to place the other. This female in particular was even more unnerving -- her clouded blue eyes, framed by a face so angular it seemed the ridges of bone would rival the fangs inside her maw, were blatantly blind, still piercing even as she stared... not quite at him. Breath rushing hastily in and out, his sides trembled as his gaze flickered frantically between the two dogs. He hadn't known that this was their territory -- he hadn't detected any scent markings, or hadn't cared to. Would they do anything to him...? What was he thinking, of course they would! The mental stability of any dog one came across was up for debate, and a smaller dog like him would either make a rather entertaining plaything, or a wholesome meal. Whatever the case, Inconnu wasn't planning on sticking around. Tongue swiping across his lips, he dropped his gaze, observing them only through the corner of his eye as he surreptitiously brushed his short fur against the cold metal behind him. Even if this dog retained something resembling sight, with any luck she would not react swiftly enough if he turned and fled -- and the male, father away, hopefully wouldn't make it in time, either. Still, something stayed his paws, and he waited, quivering readily until things turned truly south. (Not particularly happy with this post, but I had a bit of a hard time figuring out how to take Ash out of the equation. :p Hopefully, my next post will be better than this.) ![]() |
