I thought I'd post this here, since I see so many people who see no improvement in their own art, even though in reality you're improving every time you draw. This is the improvement I've made in the space of a year. January 2015January 2016You WILL get better, please have total faith in yourself and practise. Don't lose your passion and drive for art. <3 0 players like this post! Like? |

Well, clockkey, if you don't want to take a break from art, but it upsets you and causes you so much self-dislike, I'm not sure what to suggest. ; w; There are no suggestions that you seem willing to try. Practising anatomy isn't something that comes to fruition overnight. I'm 22 in a few days, been drawing since I was under 10 years old, and only recently improved to the stage I am at now. I don't know how anyone can offer solutions to your upset if you strike them down with more negativity. <33 I am really sorry that you feel upset because of the art I posted, it isn't my intention to make you sad. Hey Kat! Lovely improvements there! ^_^ I can't see the link, it is forbidden. Your 5 year old self was adorable! haha 0 players like this post! Like? |

It worked for me the 3rd time I tried, and I pasted the link below that, it just requires copy and paste...I may just have to post the image if the link doesn't work. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It might be worth just finding some references of dog skeletons and drawing the bones in different poses. Especially for the head! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Would it be considered tracing if I... Took a real life photo of an animal and created my base upon that photo? Like Drew over it? Then once I'm done shows everyone? I mean, it's not anyone's art, it's just nature itself, but just wondering. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Kat No, like a photo of a (real) animal off google. :T I can't take a photo myself because the animal I want to draw doesn't live around here. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 30/01/16 @ 12:27:09 by ClockKey (#74714) |

Yeah, unfortunately that would be considered tracing. The photo belongs to the person that took it, too, and if you don't have permission to use that image, it might be considered art theft too. ; w; Tracing can be sometimes be helpful for learning if it's something you do in a personal sketchbook, and as practise alone, but wouldn't be something that you should use as a commission, or to claim as your own image - because it wouldn't be, really. ^^; 0 players like this post! @Feather That's kind of stupid but ok. Who came up with that? It doesn't really make sense, because it's not tracing over someone's art...It's just a photo of a real life animal >-< Oh well.. 0 players like this post! Like? |

If you draw over it, that does count as tracing. Any image that is a duplication through tracing, or eyeballing is not allowed to be sold on Lioden. If you were to show off with no intent of selling it, as long as you have a link to the original image, that is for the most part allowed because you are just practicing and not getting any real gain from it. 0 players like this post! Well, I wouldn't say it's stupid. :3 Photography is a form of art too - people spend a lot of money for good camera equipment and learning how to make the subject of the photo look good. If you took a really nice photo and showed it off online, you wouldn't want someone to take it without permission, trace over it and then say that the art is original and theirs. <3 That wouldn't be respecting your copyright of the image. 0 players like this post! @Feather&Kat It doesn't make very much sense though. It's not like they created the animal them self.. Alright then, whatever. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 30/01/16 @ 12:34:39 by ClockKey (#74714) |
