Description of Dragon: Tessa is a tiny water dragon who has wings which are abnormally for her species, which she occasionally uses to fly. Tessa is a newborn dragon who Claire found while she was traveling to the school.
Personality of Dragon: Tessa is much more athletic than her rider, and prefers attacking over defending, unlike her pacifist rider. Tessa also shares some similarities with Claire, such as her speed and agility, loyalty, and trusting nature.

Name: Miguel Ruiz

Appearance:
Miguel is a tan-skinned man that hasn't had the effects of aging hit him just yet. He's about five foot ten, not very muscular, and just a bit chubby. His hair is golden-brown, wavy, and reaches past his shoulders, but rests in the middle of the back. he has a tendency to wear red, and usually has a red beanie holding his hair out of his face. His features are slightly angular, just a little worn, and he usually looks rather tired.
Personality:
Miguel is mostly a down to earth type of man. He's a tad slow, preferring to relax and take leisure and do things at his own pace. He's a firm believer of trying multiple times and being patient to get to a goal.
Brief History:
Miguel spent most of his life as a poor dockworker, trying to get just enough to scrape by. It wasn't a very exciting life for him, and not even a pretty one to admit to. He met a young Noseface by chance when the dragon was just a few months old, On a whim, Miguel helped and followed the dragon, and soon they became fast friends, graduating to a pair within a year. They became famous for their history on dragonkind, as Noseface's ability made discovering battles, burial sites, old villages, and the like rather easy. Miguel didn't protest to becoming an archaeologist, but in the books they both published, he listed Noseface's name first (he did do the discovering after all) and his last, so most people tend to mistake his name for Noseface's.

Sword/Bow Description:
Miguel's sword is an artifact unearthed that he saw fit to restore for use. The blade itself is toothed on one side, with the "teeth" curving back towards the user. The non-toothed top has strange rippling patterns. It has a black-grey mettallic color and is made from some sort of unearthly metal. Archaeological descriptions state its raw form fell from the sky. It seems to have magnetic properties to strong magnets. It is much more heavy than it looks. It is a shortsword, at about 2 feet long.

Miguel's bow is not an ancient artifact, but instead a very good recurve bow, It is made from supple yew and has a small metal counterweight for accuracy.
Shield Description:
Yet another artifact, Miguel's shield is a well-preserved square shield, worked with draconic runes around the edges. It is almost as big as him, and slightly curved, with spikes in the center. It it very useful for ramming, though its weight makes it a bit cumbersome.
Armor Description:
Miguel usually only wears pieces of leather armor, if he even bothers to at all. He mostly is fond of red turtlenecks or tank tops combined with short baggy pants. A big fan of casual wear. As for leather armor, he has a padded leather shoulderpad and upper arm guard on his non-shield hand, protecting the top of his arm. On his legs, if needed, he wears leather high-rise shoes that cover his legs, mainly protecting the front and back.

Only mother and father, mostly doesn't kow what's up with them.
Dragon's Name: Noseface,
Special Ability:
Extreme Empathy: can sense emotions extremely well as well as the emotions that were in an area in the past.

Noseface is a slightly haughty dragon, wanting to be left alone to do his detective work. He loves being solitary, though he has made an exception of Miguel. He does his best work when he's free to his own devices. He takes any route to get to a conclusion, which leads to him not getting the obvious answer, in fact, he's a bit oblivious to it.

I saw that you said the dragons would only be temporary, and would be replaced by a permanent dragon when close to graduating. I was wondering if we'd ever get to that point. I'm happy to put a lot of effort into making a unique dragon character, but it'll be sad to say goodbye later on xD

Name: Giselle Nenet O'Byrne
Age: 19 years old
Appearance: Giselle is descended from an long line of mixed races, but her mother's side reveals a lot of Middle Eastern relatives, most coming from Egypt. Her father is Irish, and also why her crazy hair is her adoration. Giselle has dark, olive skin with freckles littering her shoulders, back, stomach, while slightly dusting her cheeks and nose if one looks close enough. Her eyes are a striking blue, but are a deeper shade. One is ringed with green and signals to her central heterochromia. However, she only has this in one eye, the other being a plain blue with small flecks of brown. Her hair is ginger, inherited from her dad and as wild as her personality. It hands down almost to her waist, and she dares to tame it into a braid or two here and there. She stands about 5 foot 10 and weights around 160 pounds.
Her clothing is usually a casual linen shirt with leather breeches and knee-high leather boots. Her hair is usually down and tied in the middle or in a braid with a leather strap; a pair of raven feathers are hidden on the bottom half of her hair, braided in by special threads and fibers her mother made to create the braids.

Personality: While she appears mature from the outside, Giselle lacks a serious nature that most want from her unless she's in a situation that demands it (( The situation varies of importance and makes no sense most times)). She makes her own choices and isn't the best team player because of her single-mindedness. She can plan ahead, but often doesn't since she lacks patience. Most see her as a "free spirit" type, but that isn't quite right. Giselle adores her friends and always treasures her relationships; she just doesn't see a point in being exclusive. She shares her affection as one would share advice, often ignoring
her own.

Brief History: Giselle grew up the daughter of a couple most didn't understand or acknowledge. Her mixed-race got her plenty of bullying and slurs, but she learned to let them roll off. Her parents raised her under her father's last name, eventually pulling her out of the local area's schooling to substitute it with their own. Her father was a farmer and she usually helped tend to the animals, which lead to many different problems since Giselle had little care for her own safety and had reckless ideas. Her mother was a beast tamer, often helping Giselle with her varying talents. When she wasn't attempting to mount a cantering horse or perform another hobby, Giselle's father took her hunting and riding. This is where her family name came into play. It changed how she lived and also how she acted. Despite her oddly aloof nature and optimistic self, behind that facade lies a serious and worrying young woman.

Sword/Bow Description: She uses a bow that has long-range and short-range capabilities. Due to her short height, Giselle uses her bow differently than most. There's a leather string connect to each end so that she can step on it sideways to flip it and essentially use it as a crossbow. Her arrows are usually metal-tipped and have tails of raven feathers.
Shield Description: Giselle's shield has the emblem of 3 ravens, two black and one white, sitting in a tall tree with a wolf nestled against the roots on one side and a horse on the other. A dragon sleeps, curled around the trunk. It's as large as her torso and made of oak that's held together by a thick band of steel and resin.
Armor Description: Her armor is mostly made of leather, but has metal attachments that allow her mobility as well as protection. (( I'll finish describing this later! ))

Name: Mikaeda (no known last name)
Age: 18
Appearance: Mikaeda is 5'4" and very fit. Her body is almost a perfect hourglass, and she's worked very hard to maintain it! Her eyes are as clear as the sky in the spring, and just as blue. Blessed with delicate features and beautiful waist length platinum blonde hair, she was never lacking in the physical appearance department. The only thing that mars her smile is a dark scar that carves across her lips, over her elegant cheekbones, finally coming to an end just behind her ear.
Personality: Mikaeda is not sure who she is yet, and some would describe her as fickle. Very intelligent and always thinking, hers is a mind racing one million miles an hour. She loves one on one socialization, but struggles with large groups of people talking all at once. She likes to listen and think about every word being said, and becomes overwhelmed when there are many conversations going on. A fast learner, she is always looking for something to experiment with or touch. Including people. She loves getting the opportunity to get to know somebody, no matter how prickly or shy. Sometimes she can come off as needy because of events in her past. She loves those she has chosen very passionately, and makes an infallibly loyal friend or partner.
Brief History: Her family was killed by bandits early on in her life, and she was taken in by a neighbor farmer. While he kept her fed and clothed, he left her to learn the ways of the world herself. She had no adult interaction until she was thirteen, when passing trader saw her mending her own clothes. Seeing that she had a talent for needlework she was taken in as an apprentice, and learned to mend, embroider, and even create clothing for herself and others. She would still be working with said trader if she hadn't ended up her, at the academy.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Sword/Bow Description: Mikaeda has only two knives and a bow. She couldn't wield a sword if her life depended on it. The three weapons were all created by the master trader as a gift, and are her only possessions of any worth or sentimental value. The knives' blades are curved and vicious, perfect for close combat. The bow is as long as she is tall, and very carefully carved into it are the words "Strike True."
Shield Description: She does not yet own a shield.
Armor Description: Somewhat vain of her body's current shape, Mikaeda wears only fur armor with her midriff bared, and fur lined boots tied all the way up to her knees to show off her legs. It does not provide the best protection, but she is able to move freely and is safe from the elements.

Dragon's Name: Zenn
Special Ability: Zenn communicates telepathically not only with his rider, but with his allies. He also has the potential to project his emotions as a sort of aura, but is unaware of this as of yet.
Description of Dragon:
Personality of Dragon: Zenn is very calm and thinks much more logically than Mikaeda does. Very patient and kind, he is the perfect match for his overthinking, overzealous rider. Though equally passionate and perhaps even as needy, Zenn generally keeps his wishes and dreams to himself unless talking with those he is very close to. (You'll have to rp with him to find out any more! New discoveries about him will be added to this character sheet as we go)
