He sat down at her retort. And pulled his paw up against his chest, "Oh, now you have really broken my heart. I'm the opposite of fine. Icestar the heart breaker pushing down my efforts to converse with you. How cruel." He said flopping to the ground playing dead. He stuck his tongue out to emphasize his "deadeness". He couldn't help but smile at her teasing. He knew he could bring out the playful side in her. But by the way she looked at him there was no seduction but a heart that already belongs ged to some cat else.

She smiled and her tail tip flicked with amusement as she watched him. As he played dead she stood up and stood over him, "you are one weird tom... you know that Stormheart?" She said honestly but not harshly. She turned to got back to the fresh kill pile and looked over it, wondering if she should just get a rabbit to share or tow squirrels.. sharing would be better because if she didn't want, it wouldn't go to waste.. she looked back over to Stormheart, he was so flirtatious.. it was kind of funny to her. Her icy eyes were on him, she was curious, "how could I break your heart?" She said, knowing there was no feelings in his words when ever he flirted with her. She didn't pay attention really when he flirted with other cats.. so she didn't know if he actually liked one. But she seriously couldn't figure out how she could break his heart? She knew he was playing but, she still asked and playfully stuck her tongue out at him again.

He shook his fur as her stood smiling. "Yeah, I know." He said now dropping the act. He strolled up to her and sat beside her. "Well, you would be surprised a lot of toms would be broken hearted if you rejected them." He grinned. "Hey Icestar can tell you a secret?" He said dropping from silly to serious. He had an honest question for her. He did have feelings in his heart he just didn't know where they were set on. He wondered about all the mysteries in a cats heart. It was a weird thing. To think for a second you like a cat but in your heart you know you think of them as replaceable. He scolded himself. Stormheart you sound like you have no heart.

Her ear flicked as he spoke, she looked at him when he sat beside her. She listened to him as he asked, her usual serious demeanor was back. "Sure, go ahead.." she said, she held so many secrets of her own, she never told any cat. Some cats told her theirs and she kept them, not telling any cat. She looked to the sky, wondering if her family was missing her. But turned her attention back to Stormheart. She wondered what he had to say, she hoped she could help if it was what needed to be done..

He sunuggled into his moss bed tumbling his paws on his muzzle.

Emeraldfrost had agreed that she was hungry, watching Icestar go before staring off into a corner of the den. The white warrior was lost in her own thoughts, gradually coming out of them as she felt her gaze sweeping the den, taking it in. She might as well get used to it, as she would be spending her nights here from now on. At this thought Emeraldfrost felt her heartbeat speeding up. The only cats heard of sharing a den with a leader would be their mates. Her eyes shined in melancholy, but still hopefully. Emeraldfrost padded to the shelter's opening, stopping just outside the den. She watched Icestar and Stormheart with careful eyes before gently and mindfully making her way down the ledges. Her gaze met the tom sitting beside Icestar again when she didn't need to watch her steps. Despite her neutral, analyzing look, she still dipped her head to the other. "Greetings, Stormheart." A smile played easily on her face as usual when she addressed others. Her careful stare eventually broke when the other retreated to his den, and she looked to Icestar, her posture visibly becoming more casual. "I thought I'd go and gather some material for my nest," she informed the other, ears twitching forward as she thought of their arrangement.

She was confused when he said it was nothing and he left. She wondered what was wrong.. but if he really wanted to talk about it, he probably would talk later.. she turned her head to look at Emeraldfrost and she smiled, "ok, just make sure you are very comfy, coming leaf bare the stone floor of the den gets pretty cold sometimes.. depending if there is snow." She said kindly. "But you should eat first.." she said as she looked at her, "now that you are here, you can choose your prey.. I have no clue whether to share or just eat our own prey.." she said, she wasn't really sure what to pick up.. she wasn't used to having a cat to talk to like she does Emeraldfrost.

Chuckling in quiet pleasantness, Emeraldfrost nodded along as Icestar spoke of the colder weather in store. "Will do, my leader." Her mind drifted to thoughts of a crisp future in which cats often nestled together, and she felt herself grow warmer at the musing. At what Icestar said next Emeraldfrost pushed images to the back of her mind, padding closer to the fresh-kill pile. "We can share, if you'd like, maybe something bigger." She smiled warmly at the other, before looking back to the prey. "With food to be soon scarce, we should enjoy what we have. Do you have any favorites?"

She smiled at the snowy warrior, "good.. I hoard Feathers and I don't share in leafbare" she said jokingly as she playfully stuck her tongue out at Emeraldfrost. "Sharing is nice, no?" She tried to sound funny, then shook her head, "nope I have no preference.. you can choose" she smiled. Though her mind was clouded with thoughts of her dream.. that really wasn't a message from starclan.. that was from her own mind.. Starclan had gone silent a while ago when she had lost her old deputy.. maybe they were angry? She didn't know.. but she knew who to choose now. She was positive.. hopefully Starclan really had approved. She would call a meeting after every cat had gotten back to eat something, which would be soon.

Emeraldfrost laughed at Icestar's remark of hoarding, eyes shining with mirth. She nodded to her concerning the selection of their meal and stepped up to the fresh-kill pile, eyes running over the choices. She soon chose a sizable plump rabbit and carried it over to Icestar. Dropping the rabbit at Icestar's paws, Emeraldfrost sat in front of her leader, expression still fully focused on her, content yet radiant.
