She smiled upon her clans reaction and Emeraldfrost's reaction. She nodded to her new deputy and there was nothing really else to say at this meeting until she remembered.. "now, onto more depressing matters.." she said with a sigh, her proud posture soon going into a more sad pose. She didn't know how they would take it.. but, she had to tell them. "Starclan has been silent for quite some time.. I don't know why, I can't say when they will start talking to us again.. but our previous leader, Hawkstar, would not allow us to go without signs of some sort.. we all know he wanted to protect us all before he tragically met his end.. he will still continue to protect us but, without a word. I believe I have been seeing shadows of something that seems hostile out in the forest.. until we can figure out what these things are, every cat who goes outside of the clan camp, needs to be accompanied with at least one other cat. Even if Starclan is silent, we must not lose hope.. we have each other and for that we are strong." She said all this, she was scared for what might be coming.. but, she had faith that they were all going to be ok..

She had a paw lifted to enter the den. But Dewnose stopped in her tracks and turned in a circle to face Icestar, tail twitching. It was true. StarClan hadn't contacted her, either. At least recently. "With StarClan silent, we need to be alert. It is, indeed, unlike them. There may be something dark waiting for SnowClan." That StarClan is afraid of. True, it could be something very different. Dewnose sat down, wrapped her tail around her paws and blinked up to Icestar.

She looked across her clan as they reacted. She listened to Dewnose and she nodded, "yes.. alert.. we cannot risk losing cats, no matter what. Whatever is coming, we must be ready. Never let your guard down.." she said seriously. She heard Iceclaw ask about boarder patrols.. she thought about it for a moment. "The usual times, they will go on as usual but, no cat goes alone. Not even hunting, all cats must have at least one other cat. The next patrol will be at dawn.. now we must all get some rest as the moon rises." She ended. She made her way down the steps from the ledge to signify that the meeting was over. She hoped Starclan would talk to them soon..

Iceclaw nods and she trots to the fresh kill pile. Iceclaw grabs a mouse and she eats it while laying down under the shade of a tree in the camp. After Iceclaw was done eating she went to go look for another warrior to go hunt with.

She sighed as she reached the end of the steps that came from the ledge to the main part of the camp. She looked around at every cat in the bust camp and wondered what was in store for all of them.. she will protect her clan with her life.. just as she had when she was a warrior, just as all the warriors and apprentices would.. but she was worried about what Starclan wasn't telling them. She would stay up a little longer, though the moon was creeping higher in the sky and cats should be off to their nests. She didn't feel like going to her nest just yet.. she didn't want to see the terrifying nightmares. They all ended in bloodshed and death.. just as they had for the past seasons, she couldn't get a lot of sleep any night ever since she was a young cat. She was a warrior not too long before they had started up.. she couldn't catch a break.. as she was lost in her thoughts, she unconsciously started to wash her face and pelt. She was so worried yet, she looked calm on the outside.. oh Starclan, what is it? Why aren't you talking to us? She thought.

Letting off a kind smile, Emeraldfrost dipped her head to Dewnose. "Thank you, Dewnose, I hope to serve well." She watched the medicine cat begin to make her way back to her den before the words of Icestar caught her attention, and she turned back to the leader. Her expression gave away no emotion besides slight concern as she listened, blank eyes clearing when Icestar finished. She blinked away the solemn air to herself and crooked her head ever so slightly as Icestar came down the ledge. Emeraldfrost waited for her, green eyes shimmering in thought. "That was quite an announcement. Though have no doubt in my belief that we'll get through this together, no matter what StarClan is concealing from us."

She was pulled from her thoughts as she heard Emeraldfrost's voice. She smiled at her, "I know we will.. I just can't help but worry.. I have been given the honor of protecting and leading this clan, I will do everything I can to do so.. I just hope this won't be too bad.." she said with a sigh. She ran a paw over face again, trying to distract herself from everything for at least a moment.. they must wait and stay calm.. but now, she had to do her duties. She was glad she now had a great deputy.. she just hoped the both of them could manage such a big clan. "Want to hear some stories of how I lost a few of my lives?" She said suddenly, thinking it would be more interesting to talk about than just to sit there stupidly. She felt stupid because she just sat there and smiled, what else was she supposed to say?

"It's fine to worry, so long as you don't lose faith. I'm glad you're not." Emeraldfrost looked upon the other courteously. Her white tail flicked gently as she turned her head somewhat to look at the rest of the camp. "I sincerely do admire how you've kept yourself promising through these struggles. With your sanguinity, you may not even require a deputy's help." Though through her light, warm, and bantering tone, she foreseeably still thought nevertheless I'd help you, no matter what, I'll stay by your side. Emeraldfrost blinked upon hearing the question. She dipped her head to Icestar a moment later, taking not even a second to come up with an answer. "Of course, if you'll let me hear."

The silverpoint watched as Icestar and Emeraldfrost came together and began to speak with each other. Dewnose shook her head, stood, and entered the gloomy medicine den. It never occurred to Dewnose that StarClan had been silent for some time. Restless, meaningless dreams. What was in store for her beloved Clan? Sighing, the alabaster she-cat scooped up the pitiful pile of marigold into her jaws and carried it to the back of the den, towards a ledge of rock wrapping around the back of the den. She set the healing herb beside some dying horsetail. Grabbing the horsetail, she turned, dug a shallow hole, dropped the horsetail into it, and kicked some earth over it again. I can take it out later. For now, I think I'll go into the forest for some time to think. Dewnose left the medicine cat den and slid across camp, staying mostly to the shadows. Reaching the entrance, she glanced back around before slithering through. Perhaps Dewnose wasn't the best with stealth, but she didn't want to be pestered by some warrior following her out. There appeared to be something lurking in the forest that made Dewnose uneasy. But for now it was most likely her imagination taking play on the foreboding words Icestar spoke tonight. For now. Dewnose felt a small spark of peace in her chest and calmly walked through the forest, heading for no place in particular, only the moon and StarClan's stars lighting her way.

(Sorry, I don't really know what the territory looks like / the description is? I based it off what Icestar said. I have a few questions though:
What season is it IC?
How close is it to the next Gathering or when the medics go to visit the moonstone or whatever the Clans have for visiting StarClan?
What do the Clans use for a moonstone/moonpool?)

She smiled, "composure and calmness always help situations, being able to stay calm and composed during a bad situation is the greatest strength for a cat. I had always believed that a good leader would always remain calm and composed, never losing sight of what the goal was and that every cats life was valuable. No matter if they are a rogue, loner, kittypet, or even from another clan. I would never wish a cats life to be taken, I try my best to avoid the end result of which but sometimes it cannot be avoided.. but, we all have harsh ships and such." She said, still smiling and nodded when she said of course. "Let's see.. my first life was lost when a group of rogues had been found in our territory when I was just a new leader. They were skilled, though their numbers were smaller than ours, they had managed to separate a few of us. I had been separated from the others along with Leafdapple, we were both skilled and could have easily taken down the few rogues that cornered us but, they had managed to corner us near the river when the water wasn't as calm as it is today, it rushed as it does after a rain fall. One of them managed to pushed me in, I was swept away and Leafdapple had come after me. He grabbed hold of my scruff as best as he could and pulled me out, onto a sand bank just further down. I had so much water in my lungs that I suffocated and I didn't expect to wake up but, I had. I had only lost one life.. I still thank Starclan for it. But Leafdapple wasn't so lucky.. he was exaughsted and he was coughing up water. Not to mention how cold it was.. I tried to keep him warm and safe but, he soon passed on.. now he hunts with Starclan and he will no longer worry about the cold." She smiled through the last few sentences. That was one story.. did she want to hear more? She felt like an elder telling kits about the old days of Snowclan.. it was funny to think like that but it was true.

(At the moment, the season is summer, as for gatherings I am working towards that at the moment because of inactivity and a lack of a medicine cat in the other clan. They have the starry lake for a moonstone XD as well, I can make a detailed description in Icestar's next post if you'd like o3o lol)

It truly was peaceful out here. Most creatures were asleep, hidden away from dangers of this world. She chose a path where the top of the trees began to part, letting moonlight pale the forest floor. Dewnose basked in the silver light, her tail swishing behind her. Dewnose was apprentice age, six moons, when her mother became frail and sick and day after day urged Dewnose to go to SnowClan. She didn't exactly know what SnowClan was, but her mother explained the Clan life to Dewnose, the day she decided to go, not without taking her mother to a Twoleg den in hopes of her being found there. Coming back to the present, Dewnose paused and glanced around. There was a small clearing ahead and the she-cat hurried up before slowing down again to sit in the center. Looking up, the medic closed her eyes, willing StarClan to protect SnowClan with all their might. Please. The trees whispered, a creek gurgled. The forest's breezes gently stroking her fur. Dewnose let herself slump to the earth, not even the summer's warmth containing a chilly night. But it didn't stop sleep from casting it's slumbering spell over her.
