The camp was already bustling and Cloverspot sat up from her nest and stretched. After looking over what herbs she had, mumbling a couple that she needed more of under her breath, the calico she-cat padded out to the main part of the camp. Doing a quick round, she greeted the elders and made sure that they were feeling alright before the leafbare before she went to check on a queen that was pregnant.

Echo- or rather, Echopaw at this point, clambered out of the apprentice den, whiskers twitching as he took in the scents around him. He was somewhat embarrassed to be sleeping in the same den as the apprentices, as he wasn't quite as young as some of the cats in there, but he shrugged it off. It was better than sleeping outside, he supposed.
The strapping young tom peered out into the wide open camp, his long tail swishing against the moss of his nest. His mentor, Frogeye, was giving him a day to get situated with the clan members before he'd be taken out on a patrol. And there was a particular she-cat that caught his eye.
Across the camp, a calico she-cat seemed to be visiting multiple dens. He gave a light tilt of the head as he watched her before gathering himself, moving with somewhat of a strut toward the she-cat. He side-stepped in her direction, 'accidentally' bumping into her.

Having just left the nursery, Cloverspot looked up when a cat ran into her. "Oh, hello, Echopaw, right?" She asked and looked at him as she still walked, just watching how the other cats moved and making sure that none seemed to be stiff or in pain. Leafbare would be in then in less than a moon and ShadowClan needed to be strong to last through the bitter winter. Now, she was in her way out to gather a few herbs, but she could talk to the new apprentice that just joined the day before.

Echo gave a brief nod to the she-cat, his tail raised and curled like a hook at the tip. "Mhm- but I'm fine just going by Echo, if that pleases you." He said with a gentle purr, keeping pace with the she-cat, who he noticed was quite focused on where she was heading. "You seem to have your sights set on somethin'. Whatcha looking for?" He cooed, taking his vibrant eyes from her to glance at the other cats around them.

"I'm going out into the woods to look for some herbs... Some catmint hopefully and maybe some others if they're still around. I'd your mentor letting you go out of the camp yet, Echopaw?" She asked, wanting him to get used to his first name instead of his loner name. He was young for a loner, but maybe that was why he wanted to join a Clan.

(Hey! Sorry for this horrifically late reply. I got really busy in the past few days, but I should be able to reply faster now uvu))

Echo's eyes seemed to shimmer a little as she spoke. "Herbs? Ah- I think I've seen other cats collecting them before." He said, talking under his breath mostly as to not interrupt her much. His ears perked as she continued. He seemed to hesitate a moment, slowly tilting his head, then nodding even slower. "He.. He said that I need to get used to the camp, and the cats in it. You're a cat in the clan, aren't you?" He said with a sly smile, brushing his tail against the ground. "I'd like to go check out those herbs though, maybe keep you company." His sly smile turned into a more genuine one, a light purr escaping him.

Frogeye would probably appreciate his apprentice at least knowing a bit of the woods, so Cloverspot said, "I'm sure your mentor wouldn't mind if you came along with me. Consider it your first patrol, but we won't be getting close to the borders." Leading the way, she showed him out of the camp and towards the pine woods, not daring to get close to the Carrionplace without a couple warriors.

A smooth purr escaped the tom as she commented on how his mentor would allow him to tag along. In truth, his mentor had strictly told him to stay in camp and rest up, but hey, what Cloverspot doesn't know won't kill her, right?

He moved beside the she-cat, taking long strides with a light hum escaping him. "Eh, learning the territory is good anyway, even if I'm not on the boarder." He said, nose twitching as he took in the scents. He knew the territory of the forest extremely well, including the marshland of shadowclan's territory, however he didn't know where boarders lied. "So, where do we find these herbs?"

"The ones I'm looking for right now like to grow a little near Twolegplace. Have you heard of Catmint?" She asked him as she padded along with her ginger tipped tail held over her back confidently. They weren't going to get too close to the Twolegs, but the scent was starting to appear before she lowered her nose to the ground.
