"It's alright," she said and walked inside with him. Going beside him, she asked, "Are you hungry now? We can eat the rabbit now." She was hungry now and she enjoyed talking to the new apprentice. Maybe she would be able to find it a bit of what life was like outside of a clan.

Echopaw brushed the side of his leg against his face in attempt to wake himself up a little more, following after the she-cat and stopping infront of the rabbit. He gestured towards the rabbit, offering her to take the first bite. He lied down by the rabbit, looking over at the she-cat. "Busy day so far?"

"A little, not too bad. What about for you?" She asked as she got comfortable in front of the rabbit. Laying down, she pulled it a bit closer to her with her black paw. Taking a bite, she made sure that the meat was still fresh enough before she chewed and swallowed, nudging the meat over to him to get a bite.

As the she-cat got comfortable, Echopaw scooted closer to the rabbit so they didn't need to keep nudging it back and forth, and they could eat at the same time.
The apprentice tore off a piece of meat from the side of the rabbit's leg as he looked back at Cloverspot. "A bit, I guess. More chores than actual training today." the apprentice seemed clearly irritated by this, but he shook away the expression on his face, looking back at the she-cat.

"Still, you're learning your way around the clan and learning about the other cats while you do your chores, it's training in its own way," she smiled a little and continued eating. Birds were usually her favorite, but the rabbit and mice that were caught more normally were good too.

Echopaw shrugged slightly, looking down at the rabbit. "I guess. But I feel like I'm doing this more often than the younger cats are- they should be doing it too, right?" He tore off a smaller piece of rabbit now. He liked them when they were fresh, but he was adjusting to eating prey later, now that he was apart of a clan.

"When they do chores, you will be doing training. Just like when you become a warrior, sometimes you will get the night guard and dawn patrol, but other times you will get to sleep in and go to the Gatherings," she continued and purred softly, "All things in due time, Echopaw."

The tom's ears turned back slightly. He knew he was always a bit impatient, but he honestly felt like his mentor was being a bit too hard on him. He only nodded to her words, starting to take bigger bites. He glanced up at her. He opened his mouth to speak but quickly shut it, realizing he still had food in his mouth. He awkwardly swallowed the chunks of meat before clearing his throat to speak. "What was it like when you were an apprentice?"

Looking thoughtful, Cloverspot said, "Things for me were different than for you. I learned the basic hunting and fighting, but then I spent most of my time learning about herbs and gathering them. I went to the half moon meeting as well, that's where the medicine cats speak to StarClan." She knew that he didn't grow up in ShadowClan and wouldn't know much of this.

Echopaw was following along at first. Hunting and fighting, he knew, gathering plants, not to much, but he understood... Then she talked about a Half-Moon meeting, then starclan. Echopaw knew of the clan, but he was on the fence as to whether he truly believed in them or not. He'd never seen anything with his own eyes, only heard stories.
"How do you know you're speaking with Starclan?" he said, his gaze now curious.

Her eyes lighting up like they did when she went to the Moonstone, she purred, "I know I am speaking to StarClan because I see cats that are no longer with the Clans in the forest, even ones from generations back. They give me advice and even give medicine cats prophecies, occasionally. Nightstar (I'm not sure if we made a leader yet lol) got his nine lives from them, but that was before I was even an apprentice."

The way her eyes lit up and how she spoke about Starclan made his ears perk, a smile creeping across his face. He thought it was fascinating how much she glowed when talking about starclan, but he couldn't help but be skeptical. "..How do you know you're not just dreaming?" the tom tilted his head. It was clear he was simply curious, not trying to challenge her beliefs.

"If a cat told you something in a dream and you had never met that cat, but it happened the next day, what would you think? Then, think if you described the cat to another and they know exactly who it is," she explained again, knowing that the faith might just be hard for him to have.
