Damiaan nodded at her words, and was about to ask her another question when she said by and left. He watched her go, and muttered a goodbye to himself before heading home to shower and go to bed. He was exhausted after his night in the alley.

When Kelsie got home she took a quick shower, making sure to wash off the sweat that stuck to her skin, before moving to the kitchen and studying there. She wasn't a big fan of studying in her room because she liked snacking on something while she did so.

Hours later of boring review work, she let out a big yawn and packed up her stuff, and going back to her room. The minute her head hit the pillow, she was completely out.

Damiaan watched a bit of TV before he actually ended up falling asleep, binge-watching the season of Sleepy Hollow he had missed. Once he was done with the last few episodes, he yawned and went under the covers, snoring almost immediately.

The next morning, Kelsie actually had enough time to enjoy a good breakfast at home before going to school. She met up with Sophia before classes, who had a big grin on her face. "What's got you so happy today?" Kelsie asked her friend who just rolled her eyes, "Scott asked me out." She answered squealing slightly, Kelsie just rolled her eyes at her friend's obsession over Scott. "Speaking of which, any guys you'd like to tell me about?" Sophia asked giving Kelsie an 'innocent' look, which just caused Kelsie to roll her eyes again, scoffing, "Not really, I mean there is this one guy, his name is Damiaan." Sophia gave Kelsie a look that told her to continue on, "I don't know ok? He's cute yes but there's something off about him...I can't place it." Sophia just laughed at her Kelsie's words, "Or maybe your developing a crush for him." Kelsie shook her head and looked down, "I don't know, I only talked to him twice, he seems nice though."

Damiaan woke up pretty early, and he watched the rest of the TV show before calling one of his friends. He'd known Daniel for as long as he could remember--Damiaan had accidentally turned him when they were younger. He waited a few minutes for him to pick up, then said abruptly, "There's some vampire going around killing the government." Lots of swearing on the other end, then Daniel and his irish accent said, "Do you know anything about it?" Damiaan shook his head, even though Dan couldn't see, "All I know is that you should probably be careful, they'll think you're doing it if they find out about you." Dan was a total foreigner, nobody knew who he was and he usually just hid out in his house all day, so if a stupid child decided to go 'investigating'--which one most likely would--he could be in serious trouble.

During the school day, Sophia kept bugging Kelsie about her supposed 'boyfriend' and Kelsie shook her head every single time Sophia said so. "Fine, I want to meet him, see for my self." Sophia said which successfully made Kelsie whip around and give her a 'really?' look. "No! That's weird, you're not going to meet him." She said crossing her arms giving her friend a big glare. "Jeez. Ok, I'm going jogging with you then." Sophia said with a final tone which just made Kelsie roll her eyes not sure of why Sophia would want to go jogging with her.

Damiaan hung up with Dan after that, not really willing to talk to the other man anymore. He quickly got dressed to go to work, and luckily on his walk to work was able to sneak a quick drink from the same homeless man as before. After that, he felt much better, much more lively than he had been over the past couple of days. He went through work with the same fervor as usual, and managed to finish a few more books during the day as well. He was still feeling pretty good by the end of the day, and he entertained the thought of whistling while he walked home. But he didn't do that.

During the jog, Kelsie realized why Sophia wanted to come along, "How did you know!" I said when she saw Damiaan walking pretty happily home. Sophia just rolled her eyes, "You blabbed it out sometime today. I'm surprised you didn't notice." Sophia smiled before running up to Damiaan, tapping him on the shoulder. Kelsie just facepalmed herself, could her friend be less weird.

Damiaan was running a hand through his hair when he felt someone tap him on the shoulder, and he jumped before turning to look at whoever touched him. He didn't recognize the woman, and he frowned at her before he looked around again and saw Kelsie with her face in her hand. Ah, now that kind of made sense, but why did she want to bother him?

Kelsie walked up to Sophia and dragged her away, or tried to, but failed when Sophia yanked her arm away from Kelsie. "Sophia, don't." Kelsie said in a low voice hoping Damiaan wouldn't hear, but Sophia just waved her friend off. "I'm Sophia, and I'm guessing, you are Damiaan. I've heard a lot about you." Kelsie's eyes widened and she gave Sophia a 'what the hell woman?' look. "Uhh don't mind her, she has no idea what she is saying." Kelsie said to Damiaan.

Damiaan couldn't help but smile a little when Kelsie tried to drag her friend away. He raised an eyebrow when the other woman wouldn't move, and he turned to face her as she spoke. His other eyebrow twitched up, and he put his hands in his pocket, "I hope not bad things." He decided he wanted to know where this was going, and he shrugged at Kelsie's words, still looking at Sophia.

Sophia pipped up at his question, "Oh no, all good things." Kelsie's face turned completely red, she had basically finished plotting her best friend's murder and Sophia knew it. "Alright that's enough, Sophia." Kelsie motioned her head to the side making Sophia shake her head, laughing as she did so. "K, i'm going to get going. See ya tomorrow Kels." Kelsie waved her friend goodbye, thankful that she didn't continue and go into detail.

Damiaan shifted slightly on his feet. That didn't really sound good, well, it sounded good, but kind of creepy... He did smile when Kelsie turned red, and he laughed slightly and waved Sophie goodbye, then turned and raised an eyebrow at Kelsie, "Is there more to this story than I am hearing?"

"Nope." Kelsie said quickly, shaking her head vigorously. "Nothing...at all." She muttered but realized she wasn't watching where she was going and tripped on a random dip in the ground. "Ahh!" She cried catching herself with her hands but not before a few pebbles scraped her skin, leaving a few drops of blood on her hand. "Oh gosh," She muttered, not really bothered, just a bit annoyed.

Damiaan rocked back slightly when she refused to say anything, and smiled at her. So she wasn't going to tell him. He would probably find out at some point, what with her friend and all. He could always ask the friends, friends always told everything. He jumped when she tripped, and almost moved to grab her but then he was too late. He did try and help her up, though, and turned her hand over to look at the scrapes on her skin, "Are you alright?" He did notice the blood on her hands, and he had to swallow hard in an attempt to control himself around the smell.
