The male slowly nodded, showcasing that he had indeed been listening.

“Strawberry Rhubarb,” the male hesitated for a quick second, before carrying on “,of the Angabe pride, but you may address me as Rhubarb.”

Nodding his head towards his feline friend, “And this is Boysenberry, my..-” he pondered the thought before contemplating a way to formally address her, “,my advisor.” he straightened up his posture, closely examining the male in front of him, or ’Brume’ as he introduced himself.

Boysenberry slowly relaxed her muscles, the warning signals having completely dissipated for if the male wanted to attack, he could’ve done it long ago,whether it be it when her King put on his friendly persona or ambushed them from the start. Deciding that it had been long enough, she decided to break away her silent self.
“If I may, you said you once were apart of that pride and they seem to be pretty harmless, as you described them..if all this is true, what made you leave the pride? Usually many don’t last a very long time, they become nothing more than a carcass left for starving hyenas to feast upon, yet here you are still standing,” this time her eyes did not fail to narrow down in suspicion “,and very much alive”.

I feel so bad for Rhubarb and Boysenberry going all interrogating mode on Brume..but they aren't used to stranger's..especially when their, and Donatello's, pride is at stake. ;-; Hopefully its not too harsh and they become friendlier later.))

Boysenberry’s skeptical face slowly morphed into one of shock, a bit of sorry was expressed in her eyes, but she was too prideful to show anymore. She swallowed a wad of saliva that seemed to warn her to not speak again, but she went on.
”I apologize if that brought up some unwanted memories. It was none of my business, so once again,” the female shifted her paws before finally choking out the word “, I’m sorry.”

“The ability to..” Rhubarb widened his eyes, trailing off his sentence in disbelief. “Don’t tell me you’re an immortal..” he more stated rather than questioned, concern running through his eyes for a quick second.

“An immortal? Ha! That’s a mere cub’s tale! One where the elder lion’s drill in our heads just so that we may quiet down just enough to sleep.” Boysenberry chuckled before it slowly died off seeing the pure concern in the King’s eyes and hesitantly called.
