Makoto nods, and flicks his ears, speaking quietly,, ignoring ambrosia grinning at the thought of prey just walking straight into her clutches "I would like to know more about your pride if you don't mind. I wish not to break any rules if there are any, or have ambrosia anger anyone." He says as he starts to pad slowly along the river. Ambrosia on the other hand looks to be quite irritated as his subtle jab at her.

Yukio offers a small smile and shakes his head slightly. "My pride has its...killers as well." He says wairily, thinking of Ambrosia's high temper and tendancy to attack other lions that get in her way.Even he and makoto had been on the end of her claws when she was in a foul mood.

Pleione looked at him, eyes softening, "I'm sorry to hear that." She shifted slightly, "Living like that..." her voice trailed off.

Yukio shakes his head. "I can bear to live with my pridemate's temper, as i will have to. She hasn't another place to go." He looks softly towards Pleione, his shoulders sagging slightly. "Is there any way i could possibly help you, without causing more trouble?"

"White fire. It is odd, but..." The white lioness shrugged and looked at the two cubs. The blue cub butted in. "I'm Brokey, and this is Leon." She introduced herself and her friend, slightly rolling her eyes as she mentioned his name. Leon sighed and glanced at White fire. "Yes, please, lead the way to the herb." White fire spoke again.

Corvona returned the nod, adding a slight bowing motion out of respect.
"It is very nice to meet you, Ayame. I am Corvona, King of the Kwanzaa pride." He smiles, and chuckles at the lioness' own pun. "If I may be so bold, could I sit with you? That is, if you'd like the company." Corvona asked politely, making sure he wasn't overstaying any welcome.

Lonesome nods and starts walking, and it wasn't very long before he reached a fat baobab tree, a fairly large clump of the herbs at the trunk's base. He decided to sharpen his claws on a worn side of the tree as he speaks, the bark peeling off as he shreds it. "You can take all of them if you want."

Ayame smiles and slaps her tail against the surface water, in an almost joyus action, her exspression giddy. "Of course you can sit with me! I don't get many visitors. Its always nice to meet someone new!"

White fire smiles and starts plucking the herbs out of the ground and placing them in front of the two cubs. The cubs look at each other and grab the herbs, waiting for her to finish.

Corvona walks over to sit beside Ayame, a happy grin adorning his features. "I agree, meeting someone new is always fun. Perhaps you could tell me more about yourself, so I could get to know you better?" The lion offered; he had realised that it must be difficult to talk to others due to Ayame probably being restricted to the water, so his company was probably far from unwelcome.

Lonesome looks at the two cubs and jokes, feeling a little awkward. He wasn't good talking with lionesses, but he had a soft spot for little ones. "Must be boring carrying herbs around huh?"

Ayame smiles kindly, but flattens her ears. "Well i don't really have much to tell you. I am just sort of just here. Haha. I don't remember much after meeting my "leader" yukio." She says leader loosely, yukio was more like a brother to her than anything. She tilts her head, perking up a bit. "What about you? Where are you from?"

(Still in perspective of Mau Loa)

It'd been a while, but the cubs were still energetic. I decided to let them play a little longer, until the sun set, at most. Then I'd return to my pride and get on as usual. The cobra upon my back slithered onto the trees, and began to play with them, racing to the top. Before I'd thought the serpent didn't like cubs, but now, he was like one of them altogether. I snorted and watched them play, but after a while, I'd gotten tired, and began to doze off. I was now in deep sleep, apparently tired from the walk across my territory....

Corvona listened intently anyways, even if the lioness didn't have much of a backstory herself, or if it was just too private to share. He thought about her question for a little, deciding how to phrase his words. "I don't really know where I'm from, to be honest. Never knew anyone close to me as a cub. But I don't mind, it made me into who I am today, so I'm a little glad my childhood turned out the way it did. I currently take in all vulnerable individuals and invite them to become part of a safe pride; that's what I was doing before I stopped to talk." Corvona said, worried that his ramblings would bore Ayame.
