Makoto flattenes his ears and offers a small smile, sitting down as well and curling his tail around his paws. "I live with my Elder- Er- Yukio, the lion who took a few other lions and myself into his home.It is a little ways up the river from here." He smiles softly, closing his eye a moment. "It isn't anything too special."

Ambrosia's ears stand at attention, her exspression turning to curiosity. "Lion combat? Is that similar to a warrior's training?"

Corvona looked away, flattered by Ayame. Once he had regained his composure, he returned his gaze to the lioness. "I really appreciate it, very much indeed." Corvona laughed, a low rumble that arose from the depths of his stomach. "So, what about this 'leader' then? Is he too an admirable person?" Corvona added.

Ayame smiles and glances off. "Well, yukio is very kind and he does love to tell stories to little ones, he is more like a brother to most of our pride than a leader. Well other than Makoto, haha. Makoto sees him more like a father." She flattens her ears and looks back to Corvona "oh, i didn't mean to ramble!"

Corvona's heart warms as the lioness talks about Yukio with passion; about how he is viewed as a family member rather than an iron-fisted leader. He shrugs when she assumes that she is rambling. "No no, you could go on forever and I wouldn't tire of hearing it. You seem genuinely close, which is something that I strive for. It is nice to hear someone with the same values as I." Corvona reassures.

"My pride? Well, it's certainly a work in progress. I've already welcomed quite a few lionesses and cubs, however it hasn't been smooth sailing. I actually got half of these scars from defending my pride as it were, I'm not too strong at all so it takes a lot. It's worth it though, seeing them all happy once again. It does get a little lonely though, most come in pairs, but I don't really have that connection with anyone. It'll change as we develop as a pride though, I'm sure." Corvona smiled pleasantly; he had enjoyed the conversation a lot.

Ayame smiles kindly, and waves her tail in the water. "it truely is a kind thing for you to do, to protect lions and help them to find happiness. There should be more lions like you around, then there wouldn't be so many homeless and lost " She shakes her head slightly, clearing a memory of one of her more...unkind pridemates from her mind, then smiles in earnest. "I really enjoy talking with you, you've really brightened my day."

Frode Had been watching for quite a while, and seeing that this lioness was falling alseep he grinned, planning on giving her a fright. He crouched low in the grass and with a loud roar jumped out, landing mere inches from her.

I wake up and jump to my paws, and shoo the cubs behind me. I'd been given a good scare, and so had the cubs, and my instincts told me that this lion wasn't the friendliest of all, looking at all his scars. I crouch slightly so I could protect the cubs easier.
"What do you want?" I snarl, in a strangely deep voice. The cubs began standing on their hind legs and poking their heads over my back, and the cobra, already there, perks up and spreads his hood at the lion. "You must be mad because I am on your territory, surely? Well, the cubs here saw this tree and wanted to test their climbing skills, since we don't have many trees on our territory." I jerk my head towards my territory, and look back to the lion, waiting.
