Most of the other stuff in the bones shop is available year round except for lucky feet which are worth 100-300sb each (peanuts), the rat is useless in any other month, and.. that's it. And they're all priced high for what they do.

I would agree with the whole "more players" thing if, by one simple fact.

Lioden grows in numbers every single year. Last year, we had more players than the year before. Yet the buffalo scrotum price remained 500DB. If the addition of new players was such a problem, then they would have upped the amount last year to 600 or even 700 to accommodate the new players.

that's my point... as a lot of people have said we may not even be lucky enough to get one or two scrotes this year, never mind anything else we want that may cost dried bones. it's not fair, 500 was a bit of a stretch to begin with (compared to the price of gmo cows in some of the other events), but 700 ?? that's just discouraging... it almost makes me not want to play anymore just because getting ahead in this game is so hard. i spent 300 GB on kinging my sunset boy (which was purchased with real money) and i was hoping to earn some of that back if i managed grabbing an extra scrote this year, but by the looks of things i won't even get one for myself

Except with a 200db increase how many of us casual players going for scrots will be able to afford any of the decor on top of that? May as well give up one or the other, sadly. I work 40 hours a week, can't explore 24/7 and it was a nasty surprise to find out about the price increase by this thread.

If you're going to adjust prices that drastically for any reason it should be implemented at the start of an event, and announced. 'We've decided to change this for this event, and this is why.'

Yes, sim game member bases increase and things will need adjusting. But you have those numbers, you should be aware of your average increase rates. There should be no need to surprise, last minute number shifts. I've seen the same thing with shop tiers. Yes, there may be a need to adjust those so they don't unlock too fast compared to the years previous. But it's a slap in the face when members have already worked so hard and are halfway there and the numbers shift.

If you can take in the amount of member increase compared to the year before, you should be able to at least -estimate- a bit higher of a number for the bar before the event and not in the middle of it.

Long story short I support. I may have been more understanding had the scrot price been adjusted at the start of the event.

What if grains were also added to the peddler shop? 2 cub litters are better then one and they may be a bit easier for average players/busy people to at least obtain something to slightly increase the one cub litters that seem to be the norm on here

@Gnar I don't agree for upping it like that. Mainly because there is still gonna be the same demand for them, and with new players getting them too, the demand when it rises, the number of buffalo balls rises too. So it equals it out. No reason to raise the price unless they wanted them to become more rare, but then that'd have to go for the other events too with buffalo balls.

They will if this is their mindset, @Deku-kitty. I am sure they want to raise the prices on all of the mutie items. It really makes it more of a pay-to-win on here considering. Cause if you can't get buffalo balls, you gotta pay highway robbery, and how are you gonna pay unless you buy their currency. ;-;

@Gnar, I see your point but it may be that the impact of last year's increase wasn't enough to warrant the price increase at the time. This year may have been the tipping point.

I'd be fine with them upping the amount for GMO COWs honestly, but just not right before we get the bar open for next month. Sure, if they told us near the end of this event "Hey guys, we're upping the Jewel Beetle amount next month for GMOs" then okay, I'd be fine with that. I'm prepared for it. I just, I wasn't prepared for this.

Again, like I had stated, when inflating the prices, it's just making them rarer to get, and with that mindset that will just make them even more and more rare to get each year because of the newer players. Then that's what's gonna really tear us up because us old timers won't want new players because they will make everything cost so much more. We don't want that.
