A lot of people have invested a lot of currency in the scrying stone to see if we were right about combos, and here is the result :D But wait... What are combo bases?When you breed two lions with the right combination of bases, their cubs roll a further, extra chance that can result in a third, new base, a "combo" base. Each combo base has its own requirements, and these bases often ignore the set genetic rules: for example, the Cairngorm combo base (Black Light Solid Special genetics) can be obtained by breeding a Celestial lion (Black Dark Countershaded Special genetics) and a Cocoa lioness (Black Medium Countershaded Rare genetics). Most combo bases can be passed down as long as one parent has it and further requirements are met if there are any, with the exception of Pulsar and Temporal. *Since the 12th October update, cubs that have triggered the original combo bases - Cairngorm, Citrine, Madagascar or Qahir - have a 50% chance of getting their respective mane color, and these can be inherited like any other mane color! Right now there are two different types of combo bases: "standard" combos and "factor" combos. Factor ones can be obtined by breeding any of the bases that make up the combo, but standard ones can be obtained by more than one combination of bases that are assembled into two different groups. The combo can trigger as long as the parents have bases that belong to a different combo group (not to be mistaken by the genetic color group). *Note: While some of the following standard combo tables have been completed, there may be some combinations that remain undiscovered yet. Alright! I finally got an answer on this from the Modbox: "Hello! The combo x combo breeding should not pass a combo. We are looking into why the scrying stone threw this. Thank you!" Looks like this is, unfortunately, a bug. Still, since I'm interested to see if it's affecting breedings with just one or with two combo bases, I'll probably keep wasting my money scrying different options. 0 players like this post! So if you have a combo base it could pass again breeding it to any of the other 8 in the boxes, but not another combo? I have a couple of madagascar and I'm not sure if they can even pass another? Never mind. I found the answer in the original combo base news post Edit: Combo bases can pass if they meet combo criteria, ie. Ive been breeding a group for Madagascar, so far Ive had all fails from all breedings. (Edits: Been using the sake king since the base was released) Im using these bases: Nacre Unholy Sapela Shedua Supernal Ivory I would like to try sepia, but Ive had no luck getting one. Seems a super super low chance of getting madagascar, but a super high chance of getting prune as prune is the most common special base thats been passing. 0 players like this post! The original news post said it can pass using if the other parent is one of the 8 bases. Most of my madagascars have been from my sunset stud on side with unholy moms. I have had 3 so far. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Gruth In theory yes, you should be able to breed another Madagascar from breeding a Madagascar with a lion that has any of the 8 bases that make up the combo. But it must be a very low rate if you haven't had any luck so far :o 0 players like this post! Like? |
