Minkpaw had been listening cheerfully as the Shadowclan cats bickered about prey, she was about to answer Wolfpaw's question when Fleetpaw pointed out the fire, she felt scared, she felt rain start fall down on her fur and the cold wind blew her black fur ruffly. She moved closer to the other apprentices suddenly feeling vulnerable, she tucked back her ears and curled her tail tightly around herself, "You don't think it will continued to burn do you?" She asked Goosepaw who happened to be the closest cat to her.

Goosepaw shook his head at Minkpaw's question. "I-I don't know. It might? I don't know how fire works.."

Hunkering down beside the other apprentices, Goosepaw flicked his gaze up to Sunstar. Thunderclan's leader appeared to be frozen in place, the sight sending chills down Goosepaw's spine. Was Sunstar still sick? What was going on?

Froststar - Leader of SC - 33 Moons - Mentions: Sunstar

Froststar hesitated to answer him, she wasn't sure that they could make Starclan listen as they hadn't been listening to them but she supposed that they could try. Froststar slowly nodded, "I suppose it'd be possible, though after all they've sat by for, I'm not sure why they would now. " Sympathy shone in Froststar's at Sunstar's tears, it was obvious that he would always carry the pain of Daisyheart's death with him. It reminded her of someone she lost long ago, someone she swore to never speak about again, but as she saw the real pain in Sunstar, she felt hers well up in her again. Stiffening for a moment as Sunstar moved closer, before relaxing, she nodded, "Yes, I suppose you're right. I've just become accustomed to treating everyone with suspicion that I forget that we all go through the same things." She trailed off, not before a strike of lighting hit a tree and set it ablaze. Though Froststar wasn't all too worried as the rain would put it out before noticing that Sunstar had stopped and seemed to freeze before he seemed to force out the word, '"Do not forget. Do not betray." Frowning and mouthing the words again, confused at to what they meant, She questioned him, concern in her eyes, "Sunstar? Is everything alright? What do those words mean?"

Sunstar-Leader-TC-Gathering-Mentions: Froststar, Swallowpaw, Everyone

Sunstar shivers, a cold breeze going down his spine. He looks up, and a circle of clouds began to mash together right above the conversing cats.
"I don't know... It wasn't me, I swear."
He yells to the crowds, seeing Swallowpaw look at him with concern. "All cats present at the Gathering, please settle down as we begin!"Standing up and poling Froststar, he lifts his nose. "I think we may be in for something that none of us are expecting."

Rosethorn - Warrior - Riverclan - Mentions: Timberclaw

There seemed to be a multitude of apprentices tonight, Rosethorn noticed. She hoped nothing would happen with so many young cats about, not fully trained and possibly vulnerable. As her eyes swept the clearing she noticed a lone cat near a tree, scraping his claws against the wood. Sharpening them, maybe? Rosethorn mused. She got to her feet and padded over, opening her mouth to greet the tom when a blinding flash of lightning set a nearby tree on fire. She yelped with her ears flat against her head, watching the flames for a moment before forcing her fur to lay flat. Rosethorn continued over to the tom, eager to be away from the flames. Hopefully the heavy rain would put it out.

"That's an interesting turn, isn't it?" She asked him, gesturing to the fire. Rosethorn wondered if it was an ill omen for storms to rage on the night of a Gathering. As she reached the shelter of the leaves, she stretched and dropped into a sitting position, pleased to find very little rain could make it through the foliage.

As soon as she'd spoken, the Gathering was called to order and she turned towards the leaders, ears perked curiously.

Timberclaw noticed the RiverClan Warrior, and he could tell she was frightened.
“I not as weird as you’d expect, I was bored. Too many apprentices” he chuckled. It was nice to see a fellow warrior, even if she was from a different clan.
“I’m Timberclaw” he introduced. “And yes, quite odd...I suppose. Stuff like this happens sometimes.” He gestured towards the sparks. He lakes down next to her, tucking in his large paws under his body.

"Nice to meet you, Timberclaw!" She chirped. "I'm Rosethorn. From Riverclan, if you can't tell." She flicked her tail happily. She'd been alone for most of the Gathering, so she was ecstatic to find someone to talk with about the proceedings. "Has Shadowclan been okay with the Monstercough?" She asked, curious. Though the Gathering had just been called to attention, she was eager to chat.

Fleetpaw shuddered almost involuntary, her eyes unmoving even after Sunstar started the Gathering. She saw the flames lick the branches and eat at the tree, reducing a strong oak made to withstand seasons into a small withering mass. The sight scared her. The apprentice moved closer to Goosepaw and Wolfpaw.(The tree- is it one of the Fourtrees, or is it a random tree?)

Froststar stared at him for a moment, unsure what to believe but she was sure that Sunstar wouldn't lie, at least not right now. She nodded slowly, though her eyes were narrowed, "Of course, let's start the gathering." Allowing Sunstar to call for the gathering to begin, Froststar thought of the words he spoke again, 'Was that some kind of warning to them?' She thought, as her tail flicked a bit nervously as the rain continued to rain down and the clouds were mashing together. Shifting to the crowd, she nodded to Sunstar, "Yes, I believe we are. Though we'll be strong enough to take it on. Together."
