Sunstar padded to catch up with Stormberry, and looked at him with guilt. "I.. maybe we can talk about it once we get to the river. Are you doing okay?"
He touched tails with the other tom, and they made it to the water a few minutes later. He sat down, yawning as he stretched out on the grass, lying down. He nuzzled his nose into the grass, but instantly regretted it as he remembered that he was injured. Sunstar sat up, looking at Stormberry.
"Could you help me? If I do it I may well just get it all over my face."
He purred lightly, his noses tickled by the sound of water flowing down the river.

Softpaw gave Swiftstrike a soft purr, glad to see the warrior smile. "You look really handsome when you smile." He complimented, looking towards the fresh-kill pile and noticing some apprentices gathering there. He got up and padded over there, after giving Swiftstrike a polite head dip. "Hello Snowpaw, Stripepaw!" He greeted, settling down close to the two. He hoped to be allowed to go hunting later with Sunstar, he really wanted to practice his leaping to catch birds. Though he would not mind showing off his amazing stalking skills to the leader.

"Sure," He said, wondering why she wanted to talk. Hollowfall really needed to take Spottedpaw out training and he hoped it wouldn't be long. He didn't want to be unfair to the young apprentice, but it sounded urgent so he lead the way out of the camp, his long tail leaving a shallow scar in the dirt behind him as he padded beside Featherheart. When they reached the river, he sat down and looked at her curious, "What did you want to talk about?"

Stripepaw looked to Snowpaw. "Well I was thinking of joining a hunting patrol but I can't seem to find the deputy's so guess that's off my list. I've been good, got the sleep I needed. How have you been?" Stripepaw sat next to Snowpaw. It felt good to talk with another cat and not just ones in his dreams. even though his dreams weren't real they had felt real. For some reason...

Swiftstrike liked the apprentice's complement. He realized how little he smiled. He sat down looking into the forest. He felt the warm air on his fur. Nice and warm. He watched the apprentice go and liked his paw. He groomed himself in the warm sun. "Thanks." He mumbled. He knew that Softpaw couln't hear him but it felt ice to say it anyway. He walked over to a shady spot. He laid down.

I did recently but all I got was one fish." She says. "I also haven't gotten to train much." She says. She wanted to battle train so badly. She wanted to learn toto fight if a rouge came again.

Stomberry was still confused, especially when he saw the guilt on Sunstar's face, but he accepted the other tom's request to talk about it once they were settled by the river. "I'm doing just fine, don't worry. Come on, I can hear the river from here." He mewed softly as they went on their way again. He purred softly as they continued to walk side by side, slowly curling his fluffy tail around Sunstar's. Once they reached the river, he settled down on its bank and began to lap up some of the refreshing water. This was so nice, he thought, as he took a few moments to enjoy the peace and quiet. He remembered when he used to come to the river with his brother when he was younger, and how many fond memories he had of this place. But his brother was gone now, and he wanted to make new memories by the river, with Sunstar. Noticing the leader sit up, he looking over and seemed amused when he asked for help with the wound on his nose. "'Course I can, what do you need me to do?" He asked, standing up to get a better look at the wound.

"I just can't help thinking what if you get hurt or or killed?!"She said to him.I can't stand the thought of it she thought.She didnt want Hollowfall or anyone else getting hurt or killed.She hated the fact that she was powerless to do anything.What if Hollowfall gets hurt or killed?She thought she didnt want think about it anymore but she still did so she told him.

Softpaw gave Snowpaw a soft purr, glad to spend time with his fellow apprentices. "I'm doing fine, itching to get out of camp, but who isn't?" He purred, starting to groom his silky fur. He listen to Stripepaw mention that he wanted to go hunting, remembering that he had seen Stormberry leave with Sunstar. He listened to Snowpaw tell about her fishing trip, then decided to speak up. "Stormberry is out with Sunstar, think they might get back soon though." He mentioned, stretching a little. "Do you want to train some here in camp?" He asked. It was not impossible for them to train in camp, so why not?

The tom orange tom purred, wrinkling his nose. "I think Snowecho wanted the leaves to be chewed up, and then put on the open part of the wound. I'm not positive though.. I think this is why I wasn't meant to be a medicine cat."
Sunstar giggled, tossing the leaves at Stormberry. He thought about what happened earlier, and he knew that the deputy needed to know what was going on.
He sighed. "My dead mate kept walking in my dreams. I got so attached to her, I never thought I would ever be able to find another mate again. I didn't want to betray her.
She died on the day of our warrior ceremony. The clan got attack by a pair of hunting dogs, and she saved the life of my brother, Hollowfall instead of her own. I owed -and owe- her a debt I can never repay.
Today, I think she came to say goodbye. She wanted me to find a mate, to move on from her, or else I would still be hurting. I think.. I think she wanted us to be together."
Sunstar couldn't help but look down, not sure what to do. "I've never been with a male before, but my feelings for you.. they're undeniable. I can't help but want to spend time with you, curl next to you, and be with you. If that sounds wrong and weird, please stop me now. Because I may not be able to handle what comes next."

Stomberry laughed a little and began to chew up the leaves that Sunstar had thrown at him, before putting it into the wound as carefully as he could. "I could never be a medicine cat, too much to remember." He mused, before settling down again to listen to what the other tom had to say. He flattened his ears as he listened to the leader explain his bereavement and heartbreak after losing his mate, and he could feel his own heart breaking as he listened further. "That must have been horrible.." He began, averting his gaze to the ground for a moment, before looking back up into Sunstar's eyes. "I know how it feels to lose a cat that was close to you, but I've never had them walk in my dreams like you said.." He trailed off, but his ears perked when the orange tom explained what he thought the visits from his old mate meant. He'd never had a cat openly confess love for him before, but it was definitely welcome - perhaps it was just the thing he needed at this point in his life, a cat to settle down with and love for many moons to come. "I'm surprised, Sunstar..for a long time, I've looked up to you and wanted to impress you so much, but I never really stopped to think why until recently." He mewed, fluffing up his fur a little in embarrassment. "If it's what you want, I want to be close to you, and love and protect you. I'm sure that's what your old mate would have wanted."

Snowpaw nodded as well. "I would like to train." She says. Snowpaw was so happy to train. Snowpaw hoped she wouldn't emabris herself. She was younger than the two toms. But not by much. I'm just as good as them, she decides. She didn't care anymore that they were older, even if she did care for a second. I'll be the best I can be, she thinks proudly. Snowpaw hopes Softpaw knows a place to train.

Softpaw brightened as the two other apprentices agreed to train, looking around camp for a bit like Stripepaw. "Maybe in the clearing where the leaders address the whole Clan?" He suggested, getting up. "It's a lot of space, I mean, the entire Clan can fit there." He added with a soft purr. With a whisk of his tail, he padded over to the spot. He started thinking of the techniques they could train. They could try partner fighting, or maybe duck and twist. He had not perfected either of those, but there were probably many more he still had to practice.

Spottedpaw yawns and stretches. How long had she been asleep? Hopefully not long she looks around for Mumblepaw. Where is he? She wanted to feel his warm body against hers she sees Snowpaw and Stripepaw. "Hi do you guys know where Mumblepaw is?" She looks around again. Hoping he didn't get hurt or sick. She would hate to see him in pain.

Snowpaw shrugged. "Mumblepaw? No, I don't think I've seen him." She tells Spottedpaw. "Sorry." Snowpaw says. She turns to Softpaw. "Yeah the clearing is a great idea." She tells him. She walks to the clearing. Softpaw was right, she thinks looking at the wide open space. Snowpaw was so happy to train. She wanted to learn more moves to use and that rouge. Or maybe rouges, she thinks.
