Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.
2000px-Decorative_text_divider.svg.png

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES
Two-legs have taken a Duskclan cat.
Two-leg traps have been found in both clans.
A Dawnclan cat was killed by an unknown source.
A strange new scent has been found all over the territory, its source leading apparently south.
Ravenblaze has seen a Starclan sign in the clouds.
~~
During a storm, Duskclan cats found three bodies, all deceased. Two Dawnclan, one Duskclan.
Dawnclan on the same patrol found a few pawprints, hard to identify but heading what looks like south.
Mothpaw, Ravenblaze, and Hornetpaw have seen signs in the clouds, cats fighting against an unknown darkness.
~~
Two strangers have been found in the territory, one taken by the two-legs another who seems to be nesting near the Cavern on Dawnclan territory.

The traps are discovered to not be for the cats.

~~~
**Please make sure to put your clan in your header! **
☬ |Springpaw| Duskclan Apprentice| 8 Moons| Female| T-Wolfstorm, Vulterpaw, (idk who all is here), Open| Mentor: Wolfstorm | Location: Camp|Color Code=#0dbab1|☬
The she cat wrinkled her nose as vulterpaw had past and she shrugged. Her fello clan mate looked a little down and ticked maybe she would talk to him. She closed her eyes then looked to the left and saw her mentor give her a wink and she smiled happily to her and got up. She padded over and looked for vulterpaw maybe to be just friendly to him, even though she was a shy cat she never really liked it when cats where alone. She probably thought it had to do with his mentor missing. She spotted and and bounded over to him. ”Hey vulterpaw are you ok?” she meowed politely to hums heoing she was trying to be a friend. She looked st him and smiled as she turned her head to her mentor, they probably where about to head out, but she nodded to wear her mentor could see her asking for a little bit of time so she could cheer her clanmate up so they may leave for a hunting patrol. Carefully she leaned back to sniff the hair and it felt refreshing to her, trying not to think to much.
⌘{ Patch }⌘
:: Female :: Rogue :: 35 Moons :: M- Frost, Dustpelt, Blackstar ::
:: Location: Duskclan Camp ::
As the medicine cat Frost approached and ordered Dustpelt away, Patch would rise into a sitting position, her formerly slitted eyes opening fully...betraying the fact that she had already been watching the clan when 'woken up'. "Bye Dustpelt." The words would be offered softly as the warrior retreated deeper into the busy camp to find the cat called Weaselflight.
For the rogue the past few days had been...wild quite frankly. After being led into camp it had taken quite a bit to convince the female that the dog and it's humans were not hunting her down. Patch had never before experienced a panic attack, but the way she had felt when startled by that canine was surely as close as she had ever gotten...logical thought slipping just out of grasp but close enough to drive her into a panicked run through the forest. Eventually though, Frost had been able to calm her down. Or, the herbs she had given the stray cat had, which was more likely as Patch had found that the medicine cat didn't really have a calming personality. Indeed the female's character seemed to be brisk and to the point, not quite unlike her name....ironically, the rogue found herself liking the cat all the more for her straightforward manner. Though when it came to sentences like "check you over and make sure you are healthy elsewhere" Patch was less then pleased...she wasn't used to being so close to other cats and the last couple days had certainly entailed a lot of physical contact.
....Though it was true that, somehow, through magic or 'science' the fleas she had formerly been cursed with no longer bothered her skin and pelt. Being without the nasty parasites was like losing a chain you didn't know you carried. The cat was beyond thankful to lose that particular infestation (one she had lived with for a good majority of her life). Furthermore, having been ordered a good cleaning, the rogue no longer sported the matted and tangled pelt she had when entering the camp...indeed the only thing that still haunted the she-cat was her rather thin body structure...that though was thankfully concealed by her formidable pelt. All in all, the female was feeling incredibly better...and after only a few days! It only had the calico more determined to find a way into this clan...a step that would first start with her having a conversation with the cat called Blackstar...the leader of this clan.
As Frost no doubt started looking her over to assess her health, Patch would stare towards the group of cats that was forming around the leader.
"Frost, what do you think my chances are in convincing Blackstar to let me join the clan?"
Blackstar|Leader of Duskclan|One eyed Black Tom|Location: Camp|Mentions:
Blackstar listened as the cats spoke, only the tip of his tail slowly shifting up and down any signal of what he was thinking. After a moment, his half lidded gaze widened and he nodded.
"Try the territory north of the Training Hollow, and skirt around the small lake. There may be less two-legs there this early." He mewed, his gaze shifting to where Vulturepaw sat at the mouth of the apprentice den, looking glum.
"I'll speak to Vulturepaw before you leave." He then turned his attention to his deputy, and Spiderpaw who still sat dutifully by him.
"For now, we will stay put in camp, there are a few holes in the dens that could use some fixing, especially the nursery, and I want to make sure the camp is secure as ever." He gave a twitch of his whiskers, raising to his paws.
"Take shifts with Dustpelt, Weaselflight, and Harepaw collecting any necessary brambles from outside the camp, but don't stray far." He glanced at Owlfeather, not wanting to take the deputy off of heavier patrols, but unable to help himself in giving her a lighter task.
"After training, we can go on an evening hunt. It's important to practice your night senses." He said, this time addressing Spiderpaw directly. With that he gave the assembled cats a last glance, before giving a nod of dismissal, he himself turning towards where the smallest apprentice sat. Padding over, his golden stare was stern, but gentle as he settled himself infront of the young tom.
"You're clanmates are worried about you. I know that losing so many in such a short time is difficult, but you can rely on the strength of the clan to have your back. We face many challenges in our lives as warriors, and bearing through them is just another part of what makes us strong. Redeye is a strong warrior, if anyone will come back from such an odd situation, its him." He gave a long, steady look at the apprentice, hoping the words, true or not, could at lease ease his troubles somewhat.
"Now, on you go." He twitched his tail towards the awaiting cats.
Frost |Old Med-cat,Duskclan|white and gray she-cat|Location: Duskclan Camp|Mentions: Patch,
Frost had been gently examining the she-cat, surprisingly gentle with her paws despite her sharp tongue. Once Patch spoke however, she paused and leaned away, a paw still placed lightly on Patches shoulder, scanning the she-cat with a faintly shadowed expression.
"It will never cease to amaze me how many rogues are enchanted to clan life." She snorted, her own gaze flickering towards where Patch stared, her tail lashing over the dusty ground. It was clear she was perhaps the worst cat to choose when it came to singing Duskclans praises, but after a moment her slightly prickly expression softened with a sigh.
"Truthfully, I'm sure if you prove yourself a hard worker, and willing to follow the warrior code Blackstar would give you a chance. Especially after they have lost so many. But its not as easy as it may seem on the surface. True, it is easier to survive in a clan, but you pledge yourself to your leader, and to your clan. You live and die for them, and must obey their word. To some, that is enough and gives them plenty of purpose in life. But to others.." She paused, turning her eyes onto Patch.
"Sometimes it means going against what you believe on your own." She finally pulled her paw away, placing it lightly back onto the earth.
"And after a few good meals, I see no reason why you would be anything but good health." she mewed, glad she didn't need to subject the cat to anymore salves or herbs.
Foxpaw|Apprentice of Dawnclan|Small Ginger Tabby She-cat|Location: Dawnclan camp|Mentions: Turtlesplash, Ashcreek, Hornetpaw/Ravenblaze
Foxpaw tilted her head, examining Turtlesplash as she nudged the prey back. She found this once clan cat fascinating. While she was torn between wanting nothing to do with her due to betraying the code, there was something about the fact that she had the audacity to return that tickled Foxpaw.
"How noble." she mewed. It was hard to tell if the tone was laced with sarcasm or not.
"So why did you-" she paused, her ears catching the pawsteps before the rest of her did, her attention shifting as Ashcreek padded up. Turtlesplashes father. Closing her jaws, Foxpaw reached forward to rebusy herself with the Mouse, clearly taking her time giving the two cats some space. She lurked just a few more moments, then began to move, angling towards the fresh-kill pile to pick up another piece of prey, knowing the pair in the den would be less than amused at her first meager offering.
As she neared the den however, she could already hear voices within, and so she pauesed, her ears pricked in interest. It seemed like the camp was abuzz with chatting, more-so than usual in the past few days.
Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy/Queen|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Camp - Medecine cat den|Mention(s) Directly: Blackstar, Wolfstorm, Frost|Mention(s) Indirectly: Weasleflight, Sootwhisker, Springpaw, Vulturepaw, Harepaw, Patch
Owlfeather nodded at her leaders words, glad that he agreed with her decision. The expecting queen had to suppress a growl, as Blackstar ordered her to camp duty. "I understand", the deputy said, nodding her head, as Blackster turned to leave. The siamese she-cat watched, as the black tom went and spoke with Vulturepaw. As she looked the small apprentice over, a pang of guilt settled on here. For the past days, Owlfeather had been avoiding the small tom, she felt responsible for what happened to the apprentices mentor and she was certain, Vulturepaw felt the same.
Clearing her head, the deputy turned to look at Wolfstorm. Butting her head to the larger she-cats cheek, Owlfeather gave her a cheeky smile. "You're usually not this eager to go out on patrol. What, you finely want to be a good warrior, now that I'm not on your tail every moment?", Owlfeather said jokingly. The she-cat would usually never act like this, but her best friend was the acception. "Now then", the siamese she-cat started, "Please take Springpaw, Vulturepaw, and Sootwhisker with you, out to hunt. I want the apprentices to see the different ways you two hunt", Owlfeather added, indicating the size difference between the two warriors. "Good hunting", Owlfeather said, tapping Wolfstorms side, as she turned to leave.
Spotting Dustpelt calling both Weasleflight's and Harepaw's names, she walked over to the tom. Stopping beside the warrior, she looked to him, "Once Harepaw and Weasleflight dane us worthy of their presence, let them know that they- as well as you- are on camp duty. We need to gather brambles and other material, to patch holes in the dens", the deputy told him. Giving Dustpelt a nod, the deputy left.
Owlfeather started her walk around camp, to check on any damage to the camp that needed to be fixed. Stopping next to the nursery, the she-cat prodded her paw at a stone. Without any effort the stone moved, they'd need to patch that, especially with one kit already in camp and more on the way, this could pose a hazard. Turning, the she-cat was about to move on, but stopped as her body suddenly felt heavy. Looking down, Owlfeather eyed her stomach. Even though it had only been a few days, the siamese she-cats belly had become noticeably bigger.
Looking up the the medicine cat den, Owlfeather let out a sigh. Not much she could do yet, since Dustpelt was still busy waiting on Weaselflight and Harepaw to wake up. Angeling her strides towards the medicine cat den, the deputy soon stood before it. Sticking her head inside, Owlfeather paused for a moment letting her eyes adjust. "Frost!", the she-cat called, walking into the dark. "Would you have anything to give me some energy? I think they", Owlfeather paused to point to her stomach, "are sapping my strength", the she-cat concluded. Only then did her eyes fall on the loner, that was right, the calico she-cat had been staying in the medicine cat den, ever since she had arrived. Sitting down near the entrance, the deputy nodded her head to the loner. What was her name again? Owlfeahter wondered.
Vulturepaw || 10moons || Male || Duskclan apprentice {Mentor - Redeye (missing)} || short dark brown/black tom with yellow eyes || deformed throat/trachea || Location {Duskclan Camp} || Mentions {directly- Springpaw, Blackstar} {indirectly-Owlfeather, Sootwhisker, Wolfstorm}
Vulturepaw sat impatiently as the Wolfstorm, spoke to Sootwhisker, Blackstar and- the deputy. His fur fluffed up against the cold as he sat their, turning his eyes to a patch of grass under his paws. He fiddled with the thin greenery quietly until he noticed a hint of movement in his peripheral. He turned his eyes in her direction, keeping his head down. His ears swiveled to hear her, his face contorting in frustration at her question. What kind of question is that?! he thought. A part of him wanted to lash out but he remained still, closing his eyes and letting out a deep sigh. "Could be better." Vulturepaw finally rasped looking back to the patch of grass.
The black tom jumped a bit when he heard Blackstar's voice. He lifted his head to the older tom, the sight of his superior humbled him a bit, he nodded at the leader's words. They didn't make him feel much better, but he understood the message. He stood and walked to where Wolfstorm was talking to Sootwhisker and Owlfeather, his stare lingered for a bit on Owlfeather, a slight frown on his face. If she hadn't of just made them all come back, the clan wouldn't be missing a warrior. He didn't hate her per say, and his heart ached when he blamed her solely, but at the same time it was hard not to. She was the one in charge when everything went down. He had also distanced himself a bit from Sootwhisker the past couple days, but the grudge he held against the former apprentice was gradually dissipating. It was just that everytime he saw these two cats he thought of all the better ways this event could have turned out, and that way of thinking was putting a wedge between them.
The idea of going out was- not something he was looking forward to- but Vulturepaw thought it would be nice to get out of the apprentice den, and not fester in his own thoughts. He waited a couple tail lengths back from the group of cats.
Sootwhisker | Duskclan Warrior | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Duskclan Camp >> Duskclan Territory| Mentions: (Direct) --- (Indirect) Wolfstorm, Vulturepaw, Springpaw
"Wonderful," the tom said a bit impatiently as Vulturepaw joined the group. Though Vulturepaw seemed to be keeping some distance between himself and the rest of them, Sootwhisker stared sullenly at the dark apprentice for only a few moments before turning to exit the camp. He was really trying not to take it personally, but Vulturepaw's obvious reluctance to go with them had the gray tom's tail twitching in annoyance. "If we're all ready to go, let's just head out then!" he called over his shoulder, already making his way out. Sootwhisker was aching to really stretch his legs a bit and so was antsy to get a move on.
Heading north of their hill-sheltered camp towards Training Valley, Sootwhisker kept in step with the other cats, quietly watching their surroundings as he began to feel a sense of peace drape over him. The twittering of birds and rustling of tree branches were rather calming to him on an early morning patrol. Although it wasn't cold out, the early light that peeked through the clouds and the leaves to dapple the ground was so warm as he walked through it, he was almost tempted to bask in a nice, sunny spot for a while. "Maybe later," he quietly promised the streams of sunshine as he continued onward.
☬ |Springpaw| Duskclan Apprentice| 8 Moons| Female| T-Wolfstorm, Vulterpaw, (idk who all is here), Open| Mentor: Wolfstorm | Location: Camp|Color Code=#0dbab1|☬
Springpaw looked at him sympathetically and put her tail on his shoulder to comfort him, but he seemed to have walked away. She looked at blackstar and sighed ash she dipped her head in respect and padded to her mentor. There was her first chance of making a friend and she had blown it as per usual. Springpaw eyed vulterpaw, but said nothing as she looked back and duped her head to her mentor and to the others. ”I’m ready to start with hunting” she meowed with a “cheerful” smile and sat down to lick her fluffy neck fur. She kept quite for the most part she looked at sootwhisker, she honestly didn’t know if the newly appointed warrior was coming or not she though she thought he was and she just shrugged. She peeped to her feet in a instant as she felt something brush her pelt and relized it was only her imagination, how embarrassing. She looked around quickly hoping no cat saw and she sighed almost when she though she saw something from the corner of her eye, wow she’s was on something. She once again brushed the thought away and padded to the camp entrance just wanting to get out of here as quick as she could for she did not want to talk no more and wanted to just be with her surroundings. Duskclan was such a pretty place, you would think not since half of the clan where earthed rouges or outcast banned from the former clans, but that wasn’t true. Every cat here loved each other like family, or atleast almost every cat. She never really had a mother growing up or should she address her as a queen? However frost was one she always looked up to the old medicine cat treated her nicely and would always help her. When she was a little kitten she hoped she’d be like the leaders and medicine cats being in touch with her ancestors, however she didn’t think she would ever become a leader and she took the path of a warrior so she would never be able to.
Lightsong // Warrior, Dawnclan // cream tabby and white tom // Location: Dawnclan camp // Mentions: Hornetpaw
Lightsong sat down and tucked his tail over his paws, feeling somewhat awkward now that he actually had the new acting medicine cat’s attention. “I apologize for perhaps taking clan gossip too seriously, but is it true Ravenblaze has stepped down as medicine cat, and you are to take his place?” he asked, curious.
He looked over the other tom, knowing he was strong underneath his patched pelt from previous warrior training, from hunting. Somehow the shy tom had become their new medicine cat, despite his mother becoming a kittypet, his inability to swim properly, and all else. This wasn’t a problem for Lightsong however, as the tom seemed competent enough. He did wonder though.
“I’m sure Ravenblaze so far has trained you well, as you cared for your ailing father so kindly too. I know it’s not exactly congratulations on your taking on the mantle, the responsibilities, of a full medicine cat, but I wanted to tell you I wish you well in the new role and hope StarClan will gift you your full name soon at Starpool. If you need any assistance making the journey, I would love to help. I’ve taken it before, you know, so I know the way fairly well still.” He paused, uncertain exactly about his next question. “I also wanted to make sure, of course, that you fully believe in StarClan so that you can receive any messages they have about recent events. I’m sure you do, but... I suppose I just wanted to know, so I’d feel better. I worry so much after my sisters, especially with one being a messenger apprentice of all things now, and I’m afraid there might be bad omens. The wild cats, the twolegs, the three kits dying... Is that just life, or do you think these are bad omens? Is StarClan punishing us for something? Do we--do I--need to do more, to show more cats the right way, to live by the Warrior Code?” Blueraven had thought so. She would have thought so, maybe more accurately. Perhaps Hornetpaw would meet her at Starpool.
“I also wanted to wish Ravenblaze well and know whether or not he would like to speak. If he is retiring from being medicine cat, I suppose he will be an elder? Or senior warrior? I could also help him with anything he needs, you know, if he has forgotten some about fighting or hunting, especially with how dangerous things are right now.”
Suddenly reminded, the tom’s ears partly folded, a bit embarrassed, and added, “I hope Larkclaw is healing well also.” With that, he shuffled his paws, realizing he’d asked probably too many questions, and he felt hot under his fur.
| Wolfstorm | 38 Moons | Female | Duskclan Warrior |
Location: Duskclan camp- Apprentice den
Mentions: Owlfeather, Springpaw, Vulturepaw, Sootwhisker
Wolfstorm purred to her friend, snickering at the teasing. "I'm a mentor now, I have to set a good example." She winked at her friend, "I learned from the best, after all." She looked over at Sootwhisker, then nodded at Owlfeather. She waited for Vulturepaw to join them, flicking Sootwhisker's shoulder chidingly with her tail when he griped at the younger cat.
Soon enough, they were on their way towards the training hollow. "Since you two need to see both of our hunting styles, I think it's best to have one of you accompany each of us, then switch once we've each got a bit of prey. It'll be good to get so much fresh kill back to the clan." She purred. "Why don't we change it up a bit though, Sootwhisker, you take Springpaw first, and I'll take Vulturepaw with me?"
Sootwhisker | Duskclan Warrior | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Duskclan Territory| Mentions: (Direct) Wolfstorm, Springpaw (Indirect) Vulturepaw
"Hm?" Sootwhisker's attention was drawn back by Wolfstorm, and he looked over at the two apprentices as the group neared the hollow. "Sounds fine to me," he answered after a moment of thought. "If Springpaw can keep up with me, that is," the young warrior added good-naturedly as a small grin spread on his face. There was a small pit of worry in his gut about showing the apprentices how he hunted one on one since he'd never demonstrated a hunting style to a cat that was still learning, but maybe it'll give him just a little peek into what it was like to be a mentor. He wasn't impatient for the day that he might be assigned an apprentice. That was far into the future, and he planned on enjoying his current role in the clan for as long as possible. However, it could be interesting to simply assist in a cat's learning. Maybe even fun?
"Yeah, it could be fun," Sootwhisker mumbled absentmindedly to himself before looking back at Wolfstorm. "Not worried that I'll steal your apprentice from you and become the youngest mentor ever?" His grin grew wider. Patrols were always such a mood lifter. He wasn't sure if it was the scenery or the company of clanmates without the hustle and bustle of the camp, but it was almost liberating to traverse the territory a bit. Then again, most clan cats probably felt this way. No one was ever exactly excited to get stuck on camp duty, after all.
Springpaw looked at the Tom cat and narrowed her eyes, ”You do relized I can hear you I may be young, but that doesn’t mean I have bee s in my ear. Just you wait I’ll be leaving you in the dust” she meowed as she puffed out her chest proudly trying to show her mentor she was good to go along with Sootwhisker. She heard his remarked and giggled under her breath as she though he could barely even teach a mouse how to hid how could he steel her away from one of the best mentors ever. She looked at vulterpaw to see his remark with the plan then looked away showing that she was interested in something else and that was a little clover on the ground she seemed to have looked at the clover forever then relized that she was with other cats and liked a patch of her fur showing that she totally wasn’t looking a a patch of grass, totally. With a sigh she waited for Sootwhisker and them to finished their talking so they may start the hunt. She felt like she was going to catch 3 pieces of prey today if not 5, it’s very uncommon for a apprentice or even a warrior to catch alought of prey not unless it’s a vole or a mouse sometimes a bird, if she where to catch a squirrel that I she could make her clan mates proud. Yes! She will catch a squirrel and more pieces of prey to show she is not just a simple apprentice.
Ravenblaze | Dawnclan Former Medicine Cat, Warrior| 25 Moons | White Green-Eyed Tom | Dawnclan Camp | Hornetpaw, Lightsong Open!
Ravenblaze had tried to relax the past few days and recover properly from his injuries. He preferred to not think about his time away from the Clan, instead wanting to focus on the future. He felt a little bad about abandoning his medicine cat duties, but not only had he forgot how to do them, he had no trust or faith in Starclan anymore. They had turned their backs in his time of need, so no he turned his to them. He had been much less talkative since returning, something that some cats probably viewed as a blessing, and others as a concern.
Raising his head from a restful nap, the white tom yawned and shook his head slowly to clear it from the last bits of sleep. He heard his name mentioned by a familiar voice, so quietly listened in as he slowly wakened his body. He felt a warm stream of pride well in his chest as Hornetpaw was praised. The young tom was truly amazing, he was proud to have once been his mentor. He got up as the conversation drifted from Hornetpaw's future Starclan meeting and worries about omens to his own position within the Clan. His whiskers twitched with amusement as he approached Lightsong and Hornetpaw. "I'm not that old yet, I'm sure I'll just be a warrior for now, most likely be re-made into an apprentice until Gingerstar is satisfied with my abilities." He butted in. He settled down close to the two toms and started grooming his right paw and dragging it over his forehead. "I would love for you to help me though, and I'm glad that I can leave my position knowing it's in good paws." He added, an affectionate nudge delivered to his former apprentice.
Vulturepaw || 10moons || Male || Duskclan apprentice {Mentor - Redeye (missing)} || short dark brown/black tom with yellow eyes || deformed throat/trachea || Location {Duskclan Camp} || Mentions {directly- Springpaw, Wolfstorm, Sootwhisker} {indirectly-}
Vulturepaw took up caboose as the patrol left, listening to his surroundings more than anything else. He had forgotten how peaceful the forest could be. It wasn't raining for once and birds were singing contently somewhere up in the canopy. It was strange. Only days before he feared the woods, and though he was still on high alert, coming out again now seemed so much more peaceful. His mood was already starting to lift a bit as they strolled along.
Wolfstorm's voice brought him back to the patrol, she wanted them to split up, Vulturepaw almost instinctively began to pair himself with Sootwhisker but stopped himself when Wolfstorm made the pairs for them. He was a little upset but quickly got over it, stepping closer to Wolfstorm and waiting for them to split. The entire time he didn't say a single thing, just listened and observed with a neutral expression across his face.
Gingerstar | DawnClan Leader | 36 Moons | Mollie | Camp | Umbraclaw; [ID] Turtlesplash
Gingerstar's form, as usual, was planted firmly just outside of her den, lying on her side, judging eyes rolling across the camp, hardened by the events of the past few days. Her patience had run thin that day when the serval was discovered, and since then it had begun to build back up, though her temper was still incredibly short. It took very little to trigger the leader into another outburst, and everyone seemed to be walking on eggshells around her, except for, perhaps, Umbraclaw.
This was not necessarily a bad thing. Everyone needed someone that they could talk to, and though Gingerstar may snap at her, Umbraclaw kept coming back each day, and for that the leader was grateful, though it may not appear strongly in an outward sense.
Her piercing gaze latched onto the deputy as the ebony black she-cat approached, her tail flicking upwards in mild amusement at Umbraclaw's ever present subservient attitude towards her. To anyone else, the deputy was an outspoken, perhaps downright asinine, challenge, but she always asked permission with Gingerstar, and although the leader did not require this of her it was a source of amusement in dark times. "I would welcome your input," Gingerstar admitted, sighing at the mention of Turtlesplash. The former warrior's presence was a frustration she was not equipped to deal with. Neither leader that Gingerstar had been alive to witness lead before her had had to deal with even a remotely similar situation, and she did not particularly know what to do with it.
She shifted slightly, to provide a space for Umbraclaw to rest beside her, and tilted her head to listen attentively. It was rare that the pale flame colored mollie listened to any other cat at all, Umbraclaw was one of the few who received this small respect from her. Her ear flicked as she waited for her friend to present this idea, blinking patiently.
If you ask too many questions, or seek too much approval, nothing ever gets done
Willowkit | DawnClan Apprentice | 6 Moons | Tom | Camp | Open [ID] Gingerstar
Willowkit was a sturdy little creature, even if he was still covered in kitten fuzz. He had turned six moons old just a day before, and despite the atmosphere of negativity in the clan, he was still looking forward [in whatever upbeat way a kit looks forward to something] to his apprenticehood. His tail flicked as he eyed the leader lying so luxuriously in front of her den. It didn't seem reasonable that she bided her time as such while thoroughly ignoring him and his forsaken brothers and their ceremonies. His ears flattened at the thought of his brothers. He knew they were off playing somewhere, happy-go-lucky rat-faced foxhearts that they were.
His claws dug into the ground at the thought of how apprenticeship would change things. He would still have to sleep in the same den, but not the same nest. He could learn, truly learn, how to batter them into the ground harder than they could ever hope to recover from. His tail lashed and his lips curled up into a smile at that thought. He would relish in each blow he dealt those sorry kits. He would make them regret every breath they ever stole from him with their slaps and either blows. He would make them regret it. His gaze drifted upwards again, the red he had seen for a moment subsiding. He watched as one of the older apprentices, Foxpaw, who he soon hoped to be training with even though she would be far more advantaged than him, walking away from the prisoner's den and he stared sullenly in her direction. Soon, he promised silently.
Words are a more powerful weapon than any material force could hope to combat
Weaselflight | DuskClan Warrior | 21 Moons | Tom | Camp | Dustpelt ; Owlfeather ; Harepaw ; [ID] Redeye ; Vulturepaw
Weaselflight's eyes had been opened for awhile now, but he had not deigned to remove himself from his nest just yet. He had spent the past two days feeling like a fool and a failure, and even though his paw was now healing almost completely, he had not the will nor the motivation to get up. When Dustpelt peeked his head in, he simply blinked his yellow-green orbs and slowly began to go through the motions of life. His lungs heaved as he moved, and after a few moments of standing in his nest drearily, he moved out through the entrance into the light. He winced.
Owlfeather's words were loud enough that he could hear them and he kept his head down as he walked, not too terribly sad to be confined to the camp. He did not know if he wanted to go out anymore. He dropped onto his haunches and wearily lifted his eyes, acknowledging her orders with only another solemn blink. He then turned his gaze to Dustpelt, cocking his head slightly. Would they be going in shifts, collecting brambles while another weaved? Or just going in a group, out to gather and then back to patch. He did not mind either way, but he did not yet want to try to talk. He feared he might burst into tears if he tried. He was exhausted. He had barely slept. He feared for Redeye and mourned for Vulturepaw's hate towards him.
Better safe than sorry
⌘{ Patch }⌘
:: Female :: Rogue :: 35 Moons :: M- Frost, Blackstar, Owlfeather ::
:: Location: Duskclan Camp ::
Patch's ear swiveled to catch medicine cat's words, her head tilting toward the older cat as she addressed the rogue's question though golden eyes would still be locked on Blackstar's 'meeting' even as it started to disburse and cats moved out of view. The older female spoke of the clan as if she were not a part of it, further fueling Patch's former suspicions that there was more to the female than met the eye. She was the only cat within the clan, as far as the rogue could tell, that didn't have a mouthful of a name. Was she perhaps a fellow rogue? How did that work exactly? From what she had heard and seen it seemed as if most rogues were discouraged from setting foot on clan lands. What did she know though....after all here she herself was!
Finally breaking her gaze from the cats she had been staring at, Patch finally looked at Frost as she went to speak.
"Must I obey every cat or just Blackstar? And you perhaps...?" The last was said with a slightly rueful smirk as Patch found it difficult to imagine refusing the medicine cat's request unless she wished for things to go wrong for her very quickly.
"What you say does strike a rebellious chord in me, I would be surprised if any rogue would react differently though, having spent the majority of their life with the freedom of being independent...to a certain extent. It's an obstacle I'll have to face when I get there I suppose....as I haven't really had time to think of personal values other than survival....if you wish to call that a value. Perhaps you might be willing to offer me advice when it comes to that? I don't mean to be rude, but you don't quite seem to fit the mold of what I've seen of a clan cat."
Patch's pupils would focus in on Frost, curiosity taking hold of the calico with as much force as it had when she was only a kit. Perhaps it was the lack of fleas or overt danger that had rekindled the female's inherently nosey disposition...or perhaps it was a character trait that would fall back into the melting pot of personality. Only time would truly tell.
It was at this moment, as Patch was waiting for an answer, that one of the clan cats ( a female ) made her presence known. Owl something...mmm it was just on the tip of her tongue. However, any chances the rogue would have of finding the second half of this stranger's name was completely gone the moment the other cat so casually spoke of her pregnancy. Instinctively, Patch's tail would whip to the side, her ears almost folding back before she was able to curb her reaction. This place was different than rogue life. What had Turtlesplash said? That every cat took care of kits? Or was it that both parents took care of kits? Either way, the casual mention of such a topic instinctively had the female taking a step back and looking around cautiously to gauge the reaction of any who might have heard. In her world, pregnant females were quite dangerous or quite vulnerable...either hot or cold...one or the other so to speak...and such a state was never spoken of out loud. It was hidden at all costs from everyone. There was so much inherent danger in the act of having kits...to one's own survival not to mention that of their offspring. The very thought had the calico flashing back to her own experiences before she was able to shake loose of her thoughts as the stranger nodded at her.
The act wouldn't have bothered the rogue under normal circumstances...in fact, if things had been different she would have welcomed knowing more cats within the clan! The more she could befriend, the better her chances of being accepted by the leader. The attention of a pregnant female, or even being near one, though had the female very uncomfortable though she did a suitable job of hiding her reaction under the circumstances. Still, she couldn't help watch the other cat for any signs of aggression or watch the cats passing by for any signs of potentially dangerous behavior...the whole situation felt like a ticking time bomb for the rogue. Perhaps talking to the stranger would distract her.
"Owl....?" The rest of the name was left off, an invisible question hanging in the air. Under the circumstances, Patch doubted she could ever remember the rest of the female's name without being outright told.
