This RP is closed and has been remade here: LINK A feminine, monotone voice echoes through the halls of a suburban family home, "An estimated 250 dogs live at the plant itself, 225 in the city of Chernobyl, and hundreds more roam around, for a total of more than 1,000, according to SPCA International. Wolves and the need for food have driven the dogs from wooded areas surrounding the plant into the Exclusion Zone." Suddenly, a sharper female voice cuts in. "Don't watch something so depressing, sweetie. The puppies are fine." The screen goes black. setting music The city is picturesque from the television screen. Though living amongst the crumbling, overgrown, radioactive buildings is another hell entirely. Dogs whose ancestors were abandoned by their masters in order to escape the explosion generations ago still remain here to this day, too far into the Exclusion Zone to be saved by any humans residing outside of Chernobyl. Many have been born with birth defects, sometimes visible but more often affecting their minds, organs and lifespans. Two major packs have risen out of the dust, Abolition and Insurgent. The packs have always been at odds but due to the encroachment of wolves and low resources, space is low and tempers are at an all time high. Can they come together to overcome the odds or will their own greed tear them down?
Current season: Early Winter. [Frigid temperatures. Long nights, short and dark days.] Current major events: Time Skip!! 9/5 Two Abolition dogs have been killed by Insurgent pack members. This has caused unrest in both packs. A massive snow storm has swept over Chernobyl, bringing an early winter and a shortage of supplies.

Isa | Insurgent Leader | Location: Insurgent Camp. Mentions: Fang, Raymond, Tyulen'. Her fangs bared as a dog scrambled up to her blind side, hadn't she just asked them to hold their tongues? Perhaps she hadn't made herself clear enough. Her posture stiffened uncomfortably as the mystery dog drew closer. "-you're getting too old for this." The words made her face twist in anger. What were they alluding at? That Isa could possibly be ailing in some way? That she was somehow weak? The thought rang in her mind as she snapped her teeth together mere inches from the face of her healer. She had intended to do some damage to the mouthy canine, but seeing Raymond's spotted coat had made her falter and take her annoyance out on the air instead. Not this dog. She was too important to.. the pack. Isa's furrowed gaze returned to Fang as he finally spoke up. She found his words blunt, too the point. He wasn't lying, but there were details missing that made Isa's skin crawl. "You killed them? Were they in our territory?" She questioned, squinting slightly. She didn't care that an Abolition member had died, she just wanted to make sure her subordinates weren't crossing the border and causing problems. Before she could get an answer, however, an all-too-familiar voice chimed in from the evening. How did she get here? Her lips peeled back as she gazed at the light coat of Tyulen', strolling into her pack's camp. "Who allowed you to enter my territory, let alone my camp? You must have a death wish, beta." She spat the words out, her body language hostile as she turned and approached the other dog. She positioned herself protectively between the female and her pack members, obscuring the strange dog's line of sight from reaching them. "I know nothing of your mangy warrior's death. Leave before Abolition loses another member today." It was a lie, but there was nothing in her voice that would give it away. Her threat, however, was very real. If she killed this one, it would certainly mean war. She needed to be careful. Her eyes never left the other dog's face, nor did her tone falter as she demanded their departure. All the while her mind was ablaze with questions and worry. She wanted to find out more from Fang, but this was a more pressing matter. At least to her. She would rather die than admit that her pack had any fault in this, even if it turned out to be true. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 30/08/21 @ 13:08:09 by Sleep π± (#44085) |

Shatter| Loner| Abolition Borders| Mentions- None The lone wolfdog wandered around the borders, still hunting for food. She wasn't an idiot, and only those would go directly into pack territory. She would have to make due on the outskirts. She sniffed, then caught the faint scent of a warm-blooded prey. She bounded forward and started digging under a fallen piece of metal until she unearthed a terrified nest of mice, which she promptly devoured. It only help slightly to fill her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Territory Mentions: Isa, Raymond, Fang, Slate, Tyulen As Isa shot a warning glare at her, Aramis kept her jaws shut, lowering herself onto her haunches as she watched Slate stalk off after being reprimanded by Isa. Quickly though, her hardened gaze pinned back onto Fang, and as it did so, Aramis noticed the smallest look of panic on the brute's features. A sense of foreboding washed over her, her pelt pricking as she fixed the husky mix with an impatient stare. She'd break her gaze however, as the mottled frame of Raymond suddenly broke forward to Isa's blind side. "Isa! Are you alright, i've told you not to do anything to weaken your condition- you're getting too old for this." Aramis cringed at the healers naive words. That is definitely NOT something you say to this dog in particular, stiffening as Isa whirled around on the smaller dame, only to snap her jaws a mere whisker away, almost as if she had stopped herself before she got too far. The gesture took Aramis by surprise, taking her attention away from the current situation for a moment. It's not everyday you see Isa hold herself back like thatβ in fact, this is the first time Aramis witnessed something so out of character from Isa. Before she could go too far in thought however, Fang's voice quickly snapped her attention back to him. "Fine. I was patrolling the borders and then found an Abolition pack dog, slaughtered them." The brute spoke in an awfully blunt and cold manner, almost so detached from his confession of murder that Aramis didn't take in what he said at first. It was only a few heartbeats of a delay before it finally did however, her lean frame stiffening as she fixed him with an awfully intense gaze that burned into him. Aramis was under the impression Fang did it intentionally which made it all the more worse. She practically had to bite her tongue to stop herself from growling out at the other brute. Did he truly not care? Was he that cruel? Her gaze would break away from Fang as Tyulen announced her presence in camp, Isa suddenly addressing the beta with teeth bared. Based on what the Abolition Beta said, it seems as though Fang was indeed telling the truth, which Aramis didn't doubt, but it was only a confirmation. A grim one at that. While Isa's attention was trained onto the beta, Aramis whirled around to face the other scout, floppy ears pressed against her skull as she spoke in a hushed tone. "How much of a brainless cur do you have to be to do such a thing?" Her words were laced with animosity as they were spat out at the other scouts face, lips curling back slightly. "You couldn't think of any other logical solution? Were they even on our territory at least?" She continued hurling questions at the other, giving him no time to properly respond before she would finally finish, staring at the other scout expectantly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shatter| Loner| Insurgent Territory| Mentions- None Shatter had moved on from the Abolition borders and decided to move on to Insurgent territory. She still had barely gotten by the last few days and was getting rather desperate for food. Her hunger drover her as she walked into the pack's lands. She was sniffing around everywhere, the air chilly and brittle. By now she was fiercely thin and had a wild look in her eyes. If she came across another dog maybe she'd try to eat them-? She shook her head violently. No, maybe she could talk and see if she could get food... 0 players like this post! Like? |
