This RP is closed and has been remade here: LINK A feminine, monotone voice echoes through the halls of a suburban family home, "An estimated 250 dogs live at the plant itself, 225 in the city of Chernobyl, and hundreds more roam around, for a total of more than 1,000, according to SPCA International. Wolves and the need for food have driven the dogs from wooded areas surrounding the plant into the Exclusion Zone." Suddenly, a sharper female voice cuts in. "Don't watch something so depressing, sweetie. The puppies are fine." The screen goes black. setting music The city is picturesque from the television screen. Though living amongst the crumbling, overgrown, radioactive buildings is another hell entirely. Dogs whose ancestors were abandoned by their masters in order to escape the explosion generations ago still remain here to this day, too far into the Exclusion Zone to be saved by any humans residing outside of Chernobyl. Many have been born with birth defects, sometimes visible but more often affecting their minds, organs and lifespans. Two major packs have risen out of the dust, Abolition and Insurgent. The packs have always been at odds but due to the encroachment of wolves and low resources, space is low and tempers are at an all time high. Can they come together to overcome the odds or will their own greed tear them down?
Current season: Early Winter. [Frigid temperatures. Long nights, short and dark days.] Current major events: Time Skip!! 9/5 Two Abolition dogs have been killed by Insurgent pack members. This has caused unrest in both packs. A massive snow storm has swept over Chernobyl, bringing an early winter and a shortage of supplies.

Name: Jade | Location: Abolition Territory | Mentions: (Directly) Slate Jade backed away from the Insurgent dog, wary. The painful wound was the least of her worries, an Insurgent dog lurking in another pack territory wasn't something new. "I don't want to fight you. I was merely hunting a rabbit. I apologize for entering your territory." Jade was infuriated by those words, "If your nose was good enough to catch the scent of a rabbit, then why did you not catch the smell of our scent?" Absolute non-sense. There was no reasoning behind it. Insurgent pack invading their territory twice? It didn't matter if her pack did too, they did it first. They started this first. One thing that was unexcuseable was when they killed Mavy, for oh the wretched pack was so cruel to be able to kill a mother. She knew she couldn't lose focus, although it was so hard not to. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 11/09/21 @ 18:24:08 by Sen. π· (#237217) |

Likaen | Abolition-Insurgent Border | Aramis, Shatter, Rye, Kahno, Stixx Likaen nodded to Shatter before turning to Rye. "Sunshine, would you come help the young lady walk towards camp? I'll join you soon, I must speak with the spotted Insurgent dame." He padded slowly towards Aramis, stopping right at the edge of the border. "Miss, I hope you understand that while Rye and I were friendly today, if we are forced to speak with you around other members of our pack, we will not be able to be so. We are still sorely feeling the loss of the mother your packmate killed, and while I do not blame the entire pack for one member's actions, my packmates are not so open-minded in their grief." He nods solemnly before returning to Shatter and Rye. Slate | Abolition Territory | Jade "I was paying more attention to the sight of the rabbit than the scents around me." His eyes settled on the wound he had just given Jade and he winced, his eyes going wide. "Gods above, did I do that? I am so sorry." He sighed quietly. "I suppose my wolf instincts are sharper than I thought." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shatter| Loner| Insurgent/Abolition Borders| Mentions- Aramis, Rye, Stixx, Likaen, Kahno Shatter stepped over the border with a shiver, keeping herself away from Rye. She limped forward, waiting for Likaen politely. Her face was worried, and her head was still foggy. She was scared, scared she would hurt someone again. She kept her eyes on her paws, trying to ignore the pangs of pain all around her. She was still a bit fazed by how kind the other dog was. Not once in her life had anyone offered to help her, not when they knew she could be so dangerous. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Po | Abolition Camp/Territory | @N/A [Open] A giant mass of fur suddenly stirred in a dimly lit den. It stretched out from a curled position and began to seem more recognizable as a dog. A very large dog, in fact. Po blinked open his squinty little eyes and sat up. He couldn't feel the thick cold in the air, but he could definitely smell it. It was clear and sharp and hurt the back of his throat. He huffed, shaking some stray snowflakes out of his fur and exiting the den- just to be greeted by a thick layer of snow that reached halfway up his legs. The sky was bleak, blanketed by nothing but white clouds. Somehow, it was still somewhat bright. What time is it? He glanced around at the camp and frowned. Where are the others? He huffed again, breath visible against the icy air. Well, if nobody was here, maybe he could go out hunting and try to find them. Sounds like an idea... Wait, no.. A plan? Yes. Plan. He trudged through the snow across the camp and was gone in the blink of an eye, now exploring their snowy territory. Roland | Outside of territories (Abandoned storehouse) | @N/A [Open] The reddish dog sat on top of some crates in the corner of his storehouse, just staring at the entrance. He was bored and hadn't left his home in two days. Not that he needed to, really. Rats and mice were food enough. There was plenty here, as they often came to this insulated storehouse for warmth and shelter. It was mostly intact and although the human doors were locked, there was a nice, dog-sized hole in one of the corners. So naturally, there was some snow scattered around there, but not much, since the entire building was covered by overgrown vegetation. Roland sighed and laid down, paws crossed over each other in front of him and hanging over the edge of this crate tower. I could sleep.. No, the air is too crisp. Wakes me up. He growled to himself. Guess I'll just stare at the entrance all day again as if some foolish dog will really find me. Joyful, this is. Daivik | Insurgent Territory | @N/A [Open] The tall, white dog was trotting quickly through the territory, a squirrel and rat hanging from his reddened muzzle. He was heading back to the camp at a steady pace, moving quickly so that his cold paws didn't freeze to the icy roads. His ears twitched every now and then. He thought he could hear something in the distance, but it was likely just the movements of prey echoing around the buildings. He suddenly slipped across the ice, flopping forwards onto his chest and chin and sliding onwards. Daivik scrambled to his paws as quickly as possible and steadied himself. He glanced around. That could have been embarrassing... He continued forwards, this time focusing more on the way he walked. He practically tip-toed across the slick surface, making sure that his paws didn't move forwards before he lifted them. Better. I feel much more balanced now. It looked a little bit odd, but it worked for him. Besides, there was nobody around to see him making a fool of himself. Hopefully. 0 players like this post! Like? Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border Mentions: Rye, Shatter, Stixx, Fang, Likaen, Shadow (Directly) Raymond (Indirectly) Aramis watched the abolition warrior come up to the border with narrowed eyes. " "Miss, I hope you understand that while Rye and I were friendly today, if we are forced to speak with you around other members of our pack, we will not be able to be so. We are still sorely feeling the loss of the mother your packmate killed, and while I do not blame the entire pack for one member's actions, my packmates are not so open-minded in their grief." A floppy ear would twitch at the brute's voice, a frown softly forming on her spotted features at the mention of their packmate. She didn't know the victim was a motherβ god, that just made the murder even worse. Still, Aramis's guilt would be hidden by the cold gaze that was trained onto the brute's slender frame, before she would speak. "Consider your warning noted. I must say, however, its a shame, what happened to your packmate. Perhaps if she wasn't wandering so close to our borders, things would have been different." She said rather curtly, her gaze hardening as her last words rolled off her tongue. At that she locked hr gaze with him for a few moments stiffly, before she'd back away from the border, then turning around completely back to the direction of camp, with Stixx hopefully still leaning against her. She'd give Fang a look as she set off at a brisk pace that was enough for Stixx to keep up if he had stayed with her, and as she did, a familiar, stark black pelt came in view, sticking out quite a lot against the snow. Recognizing the dog was Shadow, Aramis's pace would pick up, and when she neared the other, she dipped her head in greeting, looking tired. "Greetings, Shadow, any idea where Raymond is?" She asked, nudging her head towards Stixx. After Shadows answer, Aramis most likely would have told the beta about what occured at the border, and especially Likaens warning. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rye | Abolition Warrior | Location: Abolition Border. Mentions: Aramis, Shatter, Stixx, Likaen. "How many times do I have to tell you not to do that Rye?" The sunny dog's gaze slid to the snow powdered ground at Likaen's words. He had been expecting the leader to be much more stern, especially with how tense Abolition's pack members had been over the past week. His calm demeanor was a relief to Rye, but also puzzled him slightly. He quickly decided that it was better than being yelled at, at least, and quietly accepted the odd reaction. He slowly stepped around the slender sighthound as they addressed Aramis, his attention shifting between the dogs as they spoke. "Sunshine, would you come help the young lady walk towards camp? I'll join you soon, I must speak with the spotted Insurgent dame." They were leaving already? He was suddenly saddened by the fact that he hadn't gotten to properly introduce himself to any of their neighbours. "Yes.." He answered a bit dejectedly, his amber eyes lingering on the scout and wounded subordinate once more before he stepped towards Shadow. She seemed hesitant, and Rye was conscious of her space as he drew near. He lowered his broad head and pinned his ears, offering Shatter a soft, comforting, smile as his gaze met hers. "Shall we go have that looked at?" He addressed her wounded paw with a slight wag of his tail. "You can lean on me if you need to-" Rye turned and offered the larger dog his shoulder, tilting his head slightly. "Only if you're comfortable enough to." Quillon | Insurgent Warrior | Location: Insurgent Territory. Mentions: Bates. Quillon was entirely distracted. The speckled hound had found a narrow entrance into a building, partially buried in a pile of snow. It could provide him the shelter he needed for the night but it was just slightly too small for his wide shoulders to fit through. He paced slowly in front of the dilapidated door. The wheels turning his head were sluggish from his exhaustion, but managed to come to a conclusion after a moment. Perhaps if he could force a bit of the cold material out of the way he could just manage to squeeze through. It sounded simple enough but would turn out to be much harder than expected. As he began to attempt to furrow through the substrate with his claws he was met with near solid ice. His nails scraped against the frigid surface, creating a shrill noise that echoed about the buildings around him. The sound made him wince and lurch backwards, his face crumpling in a mixture of annoyance and disappointment. It was then that he caught a glimpse of movement from the corner of his vision. As he swiveled around to face the oncoming figure he was overcome with worry at the animal's size. Could it be a wolf? A bear? Or something else... He studied the mass of grey fur as they drew near, his position becoming stiff and uncomfortable. He suddenly let out a sharp growl of warning, "That's close enough. State your business or move on." Quillon barked out. He had finally pieced the beast's features together in his mind. It was another dog, a large one at that. A dog that carried no pack scent, here in Insurgent's territory of all places. This seemed to be a reoccurring theme as of late. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shatter| Loner| Insurgent/Abolition Borders| Mentions- Aramis, Rye, Stixx, Likaen, Kahno Shatter flattened her ears just a bit as the big golden dog approached her. 'Shall we have that looked at?' he asked her, 'You can lean on me if you need to.' she stared at him, then shook her head. 'I'm alright. Thanks.' she added hastily. She closed her eyes for a moment, then returned her gaze to the icy snow below her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shadow | Insurgent Camp | Jet, Aramis They winced at Jet's words, hurt flashing across their features momentarily before they clamped down on it and blanked their face again. Those words would haunt them as they waited for Quillion, and may even affect their relationship. They hoped it wasn't true, but.... it fit with their assessment of his behavior around them. He treated them as a good friend, but it was impossible to tell if he felt more for them than that. The most affection he has shown them was when he howled in response to their howl. It gives them hope, but.... perhaps Jet is right. When Aramis appeared, Shadow was still deep in thought. She caught their attention when she spoke though. "Oh, hello Aramis. No, I'm sorry. I haven't seen Raymond. I haven't been in camp for a while. Mariah may be able to help however, I could call her over if you like. She is in her den at the moment." Their eyes widened as Ara described what happened at the border, and they gasped as she told them about Shatter attacking Rye and Ara's defense of him. "Are you alright Ara? The loner didn't hurt you did she?" Shadow gets up and moves closer to Aramis, subtly sniffing for blood. Likaen | Abolition-Insurgent Border | Rye, Shatter Likaen moved to Shatter's other side, gently offering support if she needs it. "I apologize if you wished to stay Rye, however your packmates would not appreciate you smelling more like Insurgent than you already do and I do not wish to see you attacked, as I would not be able to defend you." He smiled kindly. "Maybe once our packmates recover, our packs could get along better and you would be able to see them again." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border Mentions: Stixx, Shadow (Directly) Raymond, Rye, Jet(Indirectly) "Oh, hello Aramis. No, I'm sorry. I haven't seen Raymond. I haven't been in camp for a while. Mariah may be able to help however, I could call her over if you like. She is in her den at the moment." Aramis huffed, eyes wandering over to where Raymond's den was. With the cold causing the remaining foilage to die out, Aramis hoped they had enough supplies to treat Stixx, or any injured dog in the future, for that matter. Her tongue swiped over her cold black nose to warm it, looking to Stixx warily. "Alright, I'm sure we can wait to see if she pops out of her den." She said simply with a small shrug. She assumed Stixx could wait as well. "Are you alright Ara? The loner didn't hurt you did she?" Aramis instinctually veered away by a whisker or two as Shadow leaned close to sniff at her, her ears folded in slight surprise. She didn't mean to do that- but her body worked to do so before she could properly stop herself. It was probably from how she was raised with little to no physical affection that she reacted in such a way, but for now Aramis had no clue merely blinking apologetically before she'd rush to speak again. "No no no- she didn't, don't fret. I uh, I broke her paw I'm pretty sure, but I didn't mean to, of course. Their leader and some warrior of theirs came up to take them back to their camp." She said, purposefully failing to bring up the fact that same warrior had placed himself in Insurgent territory. "I went out in hopes of stumbling upon Quillon or maybe Jet, but that didn't work out." She added, a little sadly. Nostrils flaring, Aramis caught the scent of something metallic, but not blood, looking at Shadow quizzically. "Whats that scent? It smells like metal- not blood though. 0 players like this post! Shadow | Insurgent Camp | Jet, Aramis, Mariah, Stixx Shadow noticed how Aramis shied away from them and frowned slightly. "I'm sorry if I got too close... I was simply worried about you." They stepped back again, ears pinned. "No no no- she didn't, don't fret. I uh, I broke her paw I'm pretty sure, but I didn't mean to of course. Their leader and some warrior of theirs came up to take them back to their camp." They tilt their head. "Of course you didn't mean to break her paw, I don't believe you would intentionally hurt someone who was obviously not in control of themselves." They gently licked her face in affection. "You're too kind to do something like that." "I went out in hopes of stumbling upon Quillion or maybe Jet, but that didn't work out." Shadow's face twisted with sympathy at Aramis's sad tone. "I found Quill and Jet. Jet came back with me, he's over there." They gestured with a paw to where Jet was looking around the camp. "Quillion refused to come home with us however. He said he needed some more time by himself to figure some things out." They looked sad as they said this, but they quickly perked up at their next statement. "He promised he'd be back tomorrow, though." They looked away, their eyes troubled before speaking again. "Ummm, I want to tell you about something we talked about... but I don't want to make you uncomfortable, seeing as he is your brother." They looked hopefully out of the corners of their eyes at Aramis, waiting for her response. Mariah | Insurgent Camp | Jet, Stixx, Aramis, Shadow Mariah, smelling blood, dashed out of her den to see Aramis and Shadow talking with Stixx leaning heavily on Ara. "Stixx, are you alright? Come with me, let me see what's wrong." She gently nudged Stixx to get him moving towards the entrance to the healer's den. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border Mentions: Stixx, Shadow, Mariah, Jet,(Directly) Aramis sniffed towards Mariah, nudging her head towards you. Thank you, Mariah. She'd say, before turing to look at Shadow. "Of course you didn't mean to break her paw, I don't believe you would intentionally hurt someone who was obviously not in control of themselves. You're too kind to do something like that." Although her frame seemed to stutter again at Shadow's tongue rasping over her cheek, she blinked in gratitude, quite glad that Shadow understood. She was flattered to hear that they thought she was kind, as well. Aramis truly strived to be, especially because of her mothers reputation. Her eyes widened significantly at the black wolf-dogs next words, though. " "I found Quill and Jet. Jet came back with me, he's over there. Quillion refused to come home with us however. He said he needed some more time by himself to figure some things out." And you didn't convince him to come back home???" She nearly cut Shadow off, her voice a little strong as she blurted it out.Her ears were perked high on her head as she stared at Shadow with an intensely intent gaze, her tail beginning to whip back and forth at the news. Her mind tarted spinning with questions, which found themselves suddenly pouring out of her maw without much thought. "Is he okay? Where did you find him? Did he look hurt? Tired? Hungry? Did you give him something to eat at leat? What did he say? Where's Jet??" The questions came out in quick succession, gving no time for Shadow to properly answer. At her last question Aramis's head would spin around sharply to the direction Shadow signalled, her eyes pinning onto a somewhat familiar spotted brute, but not only that, the weird, metallic objects that clung to his hips. Aramis stared for a few heartbeats. "Are you sure thats him?" She asked incredulously, but the spotted coat of the brute was unmistakably Jet. She realized this just as Shadow spoke again, almost whipping the beta in the face with her tail with how fast it was wagging behind her. "Ummm, I want to tell you about something we talked about... but I don't want to make you uncomfortable, seeing as he is your brother." Aramis only tilted an ear in their direction to indicate that she heard them, her paws already moving forward towads Jet. "Yes! Yes of course you can! Give me a moment please, I need to see him." She promised, before she'd break away, bounding towards Jet at a rapid pace before she stopped just before him, eyes raking up and down his frame. "Jet!! Is that you?" She said, trying to keep her voice down as to not bring the whole world's attention to them. She couldn't help but lean close to sniff curiously and excitedly at him, snorting at the foreign scents that wafted nto her nostrils off of his pelt. And especially the gadget strapped to him. "Oh my goshβ I was so worried about you! Were you okay? Were you with Quillon?" She said, eyes round with worry as she gazed at him, her tail still wagging. It was quite rare to see Aramis looking so excited and happy about something, but how couldn't she be excited right now? She thought Jet was dead! She'd lock her gaze with his, surprise causing her tail to still as it seemed like he was peering straight at her, as if he could see her. "Can you see me?" The question sounded silly to Aramis in hindsight. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 13/09/21 @ 09:57:09 by πSkippy Brambles Bon Vaunen (#188943) |

Shadow | Insurgent Camp | Jet, Ara Shadow winced at Aramis's harsh tone, whimpering softly in apology. They opened their mouth to speak, but Aramis had already dashed over to Jet. Their ears flattened in worry as Jet backed away. They dashed over when he growled, gently pushing Aramis back so that Jet could breathe. "Jet, I know you don't recognize her, but this is Aramis. It's your sister." They looked at Jet with worry in their eyes, hoping he would recognize her scent. They turned to Aramis, an apology written on their face. "I'm sorry for pushing you away like that, he can see now so he doesn't recognize us at first. You'll have to give him a moment to recognize you." They backed away after this statement, giving the siblings some privacy. 0 players like this post! Like? |
