This RP is closed and has been remade here: LINK A feminine, monotone voice echoes through the halls of a suburban family home, "An estimated 250 dogs live at the plant itself, 225 in the city of Chernobyl, and hundreds more roam around, for a total of more than 1,000, according to SPCA International. Wolves and the need for food have driven the dogs from wooded areas surrounding the plant into the Exclusion Zone." Suddenly, a sharper female voice cuts in. "Don't watch something so depressing, sweetie. The puppies are fine." The screen goes black. setting music The city is picturesque from the television screen. Though living amongst the crumbling, overgrown, radioactive buildings is another hell entirely. Dogs whose ancestors were abandoned by their masters in order to escape the explosion generations ago still remain here to this day, too far into the Exclusion Zone to be saved by any humans residing outside of Chernobyl. Many have been born with birth defects, sometimes visible but more often affecting their minds, organs and lifespans. Two major packs have risen out of the dust, Abolition and Insurgent. The packs have always been at odds but due to the encroachment of wolves and low resources, space is low and tempers are at an all time high. Can they come together to overcome the odds or will their own greed tear them down?
Current season: Early Winter. [Frigid temperatures. Long nights, short and dark days.] Current major events: Time Skip!! 9/5 Two Abolition dogs have been killed by Insurgent pack members. This has caused unrest in both packs. A massive snow storm has swept over Chernobyl, bringing an early winter and a shortage of supplies.

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border Mentions: Stixx, Shadow, Mariah, Jet,(Directly) Aramis winced as Jet whirled away fro her, her floppy ears pressing against her face slightly as she backed away, her tail slowing in its wagging. She looked confused at first, surprised that Jet didn't recognize her voice, a frown suddenly replacing the smile she had previously. She'd flinch suddenly as someone shoved her away, eyes boring into Shadow, her pelt bristling until she recognized who they were. "I'm sorry for pushing you away like that, he can see now so he doesn't recognize us at first. You'll have to give him a moment to recognize you." Aramis's frown was still present as she nodded, forcing her tail to a still s she sat on her haunches, trying her best not to frighten Jet. The news that he could see now, although she almost didn't believe it, was a relief at least. "I'm sorry Jet, I didn't mean to frighten you. It's Aramis. I was just excited to see you, thats all." She said in a cooler tone, her tail thumping against the ground now and then as she gazed at Jet expectantly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shadow | Insurgent Camp | Jet, Aramis Shadow whimpered as Jet glared at them, their ears tilting back and their tail drooping. "Did I do something wrong Jet...? Why do you dislike me so much.....?" They slowly padded back to the entrance, clearly disheartened by Jet's blatant dislike of them. They settled down at the entrance with a soft huff of exhaled breath, curling their tail around themself and resting their head on their front paws, nose pointed towards the entrance. 0 players like this post! Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border Mentions: Stixx, Shadow, Mariah, Jet,(Directly) Aramis shifted uncomfortably, suddenly aware of the tension between her brother and the dark furred wolf-dog. She looked between them curiously, noticing the hurt in the latters expression. What has happened between those two? Aramis never recalled a time where Shadow did something to Jet, and if they did, she must have missed it. et's always been a little grumpy, annoyingly so, but still, it was rather sudden. It was also none of her business, Aramis thought with a sniff, watching Shadow stalk off dejectedly. Aramis'd better see what Shadow wanted to tell her after she was one talking to Jet. It sounded like whatever they had to say was bothering them, and Aramis was curious as to why. ''Sorry.... it.. weird SEEING. so yeah..." Aramis was happy to see Jet no longer as frightened as he was previously, her tail wagging behind her as she smiled softly, blinking at him. She was overjoyed at the knowledge of Jet being able to see now, and it was clear. "It's okay, I know the world looks pretty bleak right now but once the snow melts away it'd look much better! Covered in lush, healthy green, and the flowers too! I can't wait for you to see!" She huffed softly, eyes lingering on the gadget strapped to his hips curiously. Aramis always assumed being blind would lead to an awfully bleak, sad world. While she never dwelled on it too much, Aramis thought the world could be awfully pretty at times. Jet missed all of that for the whole 2 years of his life."Whats that metal thing on you? Does it help you walk? Are you hungry by the way? There's some food buried in the snow around here somewhere if you wantβ I'm glad you're okay." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kahno | Abolition Warrior | Location: Abolition/Insurgent Border --> Abolition Territory | Mentions: Likaen (Directly) Shatter, Aramis, Rye, Stixx (Indirectly) Kahno watched quietly as the fight ceased, his eyes blinking slowly as his own pack welcomed the wild dog. A twitch from his eye was his only movement, his discomfort clear on his face. "Outsider." The word would fall from his mouth as Rye led her deeper into their territory, his body moving slightly as if to only watch the dogs walk away. Of course, Kahno wouldn't be a fan of this new development, another dog would mean more mouths to feed, and being already injured likely another body to bury. Tsk. He clicked his tongue in frustration. It wouldn't really matter, he didn't plan on getting close to this one either. Kahno looked back to the grouping of dogs, the scent of Insurgent seemed to constantly expand as more dogs appeared, nearly as fast as his own pack had walked away. It seemed he wasn't needed here if he ever truly was. The golden dog would simply walk away this time, after all, he did have plans before stumbling upon the prior conflict. The only question was, what were his plans? Demesu | Loner | Location: Outside the territories | Mentions: Fiorello (Indirectly) Bang! The thud was loud as something fell heavily behind him, the very sound making his fur stand on edge, his legs propelling him forward through the snow. There's something behind me! No way that was a dog, it's probably a bear or something big like that! His mind was rattled as ran through the city, the dense snow making it harder to traverse through the open streets. Demesu's feet slid as he ran into a building, his heavy body falling as he scampered his way up the short set of stairs. The large dog took a moment to hide behind a wall, his body shaking profusely as he struggled to calm his breathing. "I think I lost it." He sighed, silence taking over the room once more. Sana | Loner | Location: Outside the territories | Mentions: Demesu (Indirectly) Bones and joints cracked and popped as the stiff white figure stretched in the dimly lit room, her movements displacing the warm dry hay. A yawn was the only noise that came from her mouth as she finally gained full control of her aching body. Sana's stomach rumbled as the scent of a freshly hunted rabbit roused her senses, the smell of her larger son emanating from it. "That's sweet." She'd mumble before scarfing down what she could, the silence of the storeroom being much too deafening to stay for long. "He must be hunting again." Sana said, grimacing slightly when no reply was given. "I should just go find him, I doubt he went too far." The wolf-dog remarked before setting out, her body slow to move in the heavy snow-covered lands. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border Mentions: Shadow, Jet,(Directly) Aramis's gaze hardened slightly a her brothers impatient tone, her tail slowing to a full stop as she looked at him, unblinking. Gods, if he could just stop putting up such a tough act it'd be much easier to talk to him right now. "Yeah, I know that. Sorry for being excited that my blind brother can see once again." She said in a more bitter tone, her ears falling. The spotted dame let out an exasperated sigh, shaking her head before she'd speak in a much more forgiving tone of voice. "I'm sorry for asking so many questionsβ Look, I've been really worried about you and Quillon and I ust can't help it. I'm glad you're home, really, and I'm glad you're okay." She began, pausing to swipe her tongue over her nose. "Just let me know if you need help if you ever need it, kay? I'm here for you, always." She added a little more gently head cocking to the side lightly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shadow | Insurgent Camp | Jet, Aramis Shadow watched their breath appear in frosty clouds before them and tried not to listen in on the conversation happening behind them. They curled into a tighter ball, fluffing their fur against the chilled wind. I hope Quillion is doing alright... Could Jet possibly be right..? Does he really not care for me at all? They started biting the ice out from between their toes as they thought. I wonder if I should have insisted he come home with me... Aramis seemed to think so... I don't think he would have listened though. And it only would have made him upset. They sighed quietly before resting their head on their paws once again. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rye | Abolition Warrior | Location: Abolition Border. Mentions: Shatter, Likaen. "Maybe once our packmates recover, our packs could get along better and you would be able to see them again." "Perhaps..." He responded tepidly, his voice trailing off. It was a comforting thought, but a bit far-fetched, even for Rye. Getting along wasn't something Insurgent or Abolition had ever been good at but... perhaps things could change. His ears perked slightly as he got lost in his own dreaming. It was a grand idea, indeed, both of the packs coming together at last. Imagine the dogs I could meet, and the stories we would share. The thought alone made his snow-matted tail begin to sway back and forth. He let out a soft hum in response, his gaze distant and wistful. "I'm alright. Thanks." The loner's voice snapped the flaxen dog out of his musing. He blinked a few times before turning his attention back towards the scrawny wolfdog. "Of course." He replied, taking a small step away to give the lass her space. "We're in no hurry, so don't hurt yourself further trying to keep pace." Rye reassured, casting a quick glance towards Likaen as he began to trudge through the thick snow towards camp. "- and let us know if you need a break." He added with a nod of his head. His steps were slow, methodical, as he tried to match the loner's own speed. The progress didn't seem to bother him though, and he kept an attentive eye on the wounded dog as they plodded along. Quillon | Insurgent Warrior | Location: Insurgent Territory. Mentions: Bates. The other canine's eerie demeanor caused a chill to run down Quillon's spine. He stood for a moment, his posture stiffening as he looked up to meet the other dog's oddly hellish gaze with his own. They were getting too close for comfort, in his opinion. From his throat sounded another low growl, much longer than the last. It only stopped as they did. Quillon studied them suspiciously, his defensive posture only faltering when they spoke. "It all depends... do you wish to be friends.... or food....." He took a hesitant step away from the strange dog, quite taken aback by the words. Food? What the hell does that mean? Were they actually insinuating they would eat him? "Neither." He barked back, regaining whatever wary stance he had been in before they spoke. His voice was unsure, however. He was still shaken from the dog's blatant... threat? "I don't want to fight but this isn't your territory. Leave or tell me why you're here, I won't ask again." He drew back his lips to reveal his teeth as he spoke, his tone much more demanding. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Daivik | Insurgent Territory/Camp | @N/A [Open] Daivik continued forwards, keeping up the odd, but efficient tip-toeing. Well if nobody was around to see my slip-up, that's good. He thought bitterly. He wasn't necessarily disrespected in the pack but he didn't like making a fool of himself regardless. I wonder how stupid I look right about now... A slight growl rose in his throat. He shouldn't care, really. Others' opinions of him didn't matter, as long as they weren't TRYING to get under his skin. As the lanky white dog drew closer to the Insurgent Camp he fixed his posture and walked normally, although still going forwards at a rather quick pace. Finally, Daivik nosed his way into the hospital, the pack's base camp. He glanced around for a moment. Good, it's not completely empty... He padded ahead, dropping off the squirrel and rat to their designated spot, and then turning away to sit elsewhere. He settled down in a cozy corner and began cleaning off his muzzle and giving himself a quick groom. At last, back in the camp.. That snow was awful... 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border Mentions: Shadow, Jet,(Directly) She smiled softly as her brother leaned forward to press his nose against her cheek, Aramis returning the gesture gently, her tail beginning to wag behind her, despite her efforts to keep it still. "sorry..... tis just all been stressful today... where is..... you know.." Aramis nodded, suddenly feelig guilty by her bitter tone she had previously. I can only imagine hat he went through, I shouldn't blame him for anything. Bad-tempered or not. He's still my brother. She thought to herself, almost wanting to apologize again but keeping her maw shut. Instead, when her maw open again she uttered something else. "Noted, I'll let you have your rest in a bit, I can only imagine how rough its been." She peered over her shoulder towards Shadow, who appeared agitated now, instantly recalling that they had something to confide in Aramis. The mention of Isa, although not named at all, made Aramis stiffen slightly, looking noticably uncomfortable when the gray furred dame was brought up, turning back to look at Jet. Isa didn't seem too bothered by Jet's disappearance, as expected. She only seem bothered by Quillons, but not by much. The lack of care Isa showed to her sons and Aramis's brothers irritated her greatly, but she couldn't expect anything else from her. She doesn't about Aramis, Quillon, or Jet. Never had, never will. She didn't even now how her mother would react to jet's disappearance. WOuld she be irritated with the new mouth to feed, not care, or worse, chase him out? "I don't know, and I'm glad I don't. Ever since you and Quillon have left she's been acting so strange around me. As if she genuinely cares about me, and it's more offputting than anything." She muttered, shuddering at the thought. "If Isa has a problem with you here I'll have your back. As long as I don't get an ear torn for it." She added, muttering her last words in a darker tone. Looking back at Shadow again, she sighed. "Alright, J, I'll let you get your rest. Shadow has something to tell me so I'd best head over now. Take it easy, alright?" Aramis finally said, touching her nose to Jet's cheek again before she pulled away, wgging her tail as if in a goodbye before she turned away, somewhat guilty for leaving her brother so soon, but like she said before, he needed his rest, and Shadow had something to say. Aramis could only wonder what it was, and how serious. She reached Shadow not so long after, stopping next to them and letting out a huff to announce her presence. "Hey Shadow, I'm back. You had something to say to me, yes?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shadow | Insurgent Camp | Aramis Shadow jumped as Aramis let out a huff. "Hey Shadow, I'm back, You had something to say to me, yes?" "Umm, yes. I wanted to talk to you about Quill." They scrambled into a sitting position, their ears heating as they thought over what they were going to say. "Ummm, I'm assuming you know how I feel about him, yes?" They licked their nose nervously. "Well, after he left again, I howled to him, telling him I would be waiting and for him to come home safely. Well, he actually responded." Their eyes light up as they say this, their tail wagging quickly. "He asked me to wait for him... Do you think it means anything...? Jet thinks he doesn't care for me..." 0 players like this post! Shatter| Loner| Abolition Border| Mentions- Likaen, Rye Shatter smiled, surprising herself. She flicked her ears, thinking. Don't let your guard down, you have danger all around you. She took a few careful limping steps forward. She shook the snow off of her silky black fur and frowned at the sky. She twisted her head around to Rye. 'Which way is your camp?' she asked, trying to keep her voice calm. ---- Fiochmhar| Abolition Warrior| Insurg/Abol Borders| Mentions- None Fioch walked along the border, her long legs letting her traverse the snow with relative ease. She stopped and listened closely, silent. She then lunged forward and plunged her snout into the snow. She lifted her head with a small rodent in her jaws. She had found that this was an easy way to find small meals in winter, finding the tunnels that mice carved into the icy snow. Fiochmhar cached the dead mouse in a nearby log, packing snow around it until she could come back to get it later. She sat down for a moment, just listening to the sounds around her. 0 players like this post! Like? |
