A feminine, monotone voice echoes through the halls of a suburban family home, "An estimated 250 dogs live at the plant itself, 225 in the city of Chernobyl, and hundreds more roam around, for a total of more than 1,000, according to SPCA International. Wolves and the need for food have driven the dogs from wooded areas surrounding the plant into the Exclusion Zone." Suddenly, a sharper female voice cuts in. "Don't watch something so depressing, sweetie. The puppies are fine." The screen goes black.

setting music
The city is picturesque from the television screen. Though living amongst the crumbling, overgrown, radioactive buildings is another hell entirely. Dogs whose ancestors were abandoned by their masters in order to escape the explosion generations ago still remain here to this day, too far into the Exclusion Zone to be saved by any humans residing outside of Chernobyl. Many have been born with birth defects, sometimes visible but more often affecting their minds, organs and lifespans. Two major packs have risen out of the dust, Abolition and Insurgent. The packs have always been at odds but due to the encroachment of wolves and low resources, space is low and tempers are at an all time high. Can they come together to overcome the odds or will their own greed tear them down?

──────────────────────────────────────────────────

Current season: Early Winter. [Frigid temperatures. Long nights, short and dark days.]
Current major events:
Time Skip!! 9/5

Two Abolition dogs have been killed by Insurgent pack members. This has caused unrest in both packs.

A massive snow storm has swept over Chernobyl, bringing an early winter and a shortage of supplies.

Ferrer | Abolition Healer | Location: Abolition Border.
Mentions: Finch, Loops, Sigge.

Ferrer's snow-matted ears twitched lightly as the cat spoke again. "i found her buried in a snow drift, lucky she lived" Growing quiet, he lifted his head from it's crouched position. "Lucky indeed. Not jus' any dog would survive bein' out in this type of weather, let alone a wee youngster." He replied, a tinge of suspicion in his voice. Glancing back over his shoulder, he gave Finch a confused leer. It was an odd predicament, he had to admit, and he had seen quite a few things in his years. "Hmmβ€” Well, you're not plannin' on keepin' this pup are you? And you haven't seen their parents around?" He managed to stammer out after clearing his throat. Swinging his head back towards the feline, his gaze flickered across the surrounding scenery as if searching for the dogs he had mentioned. There had to be someone out there looking for her, just as he was looking for his own pup. Slip.. I wonder if he was found as well. His mind wandered as he stood there. This detour hadn't stopped him from dwelling on his original mission. "Cat! You haven't happened to have seen a pup, uhβ€” a different pup? About half her size, a wee boy?" He suddenly blurted the questions out, ears perking forwards.

Jonah| Loner | Location: Insurgent Border.
Mentions: Reo, Aramis, Slate, Tok.

"Yikes." He mumbled under his breath. His pale steel eyes had been watching the scene unfold before him and he found it to be quite entertaining. A touch of drama, a dash of mystery. What else could you ask for? Skinny dog was mad at spotted dog for killing dead lady, but it turns out murder dog was actually the culprit the whole time. He replayed the scene over in his head with an added touch of flair, curtesy of him. "Woah. What a twist." He whispered as he lifted himself from his reclined position, a feigned expression of shock on his face. He stretched and ran his tongue across his muzzle, shaking the snow from his sooty coat. The spotted female didn't seem to be too happy with the brute as well, he had deducted. It had been a pretty easy conclusion to come to, admittedly. Based on the screaming coming from the distance it seems as though 'murder dog' had committed an atrocious misdeed. Exciting. Let's see how this plays out. Jonah grinned as he traipsed through the snow to follow after them, his tail held high over his back.

The tracks they had left in the snow reeked of Insurgent, which didn't bother him in the least. In fact, he had come here just to visit his dear sister and they were his ticket to reaching her. It had been a long while since he had been here last, and them guiding him directly back to their camp was a much appreciated coincidence. "We could be thrown into war for what you have done, Slate. Do you not understand?" The sentence reached him as he grew nearer to the quarrelling canines. "Ooh, a war? Am I invited?" He piped up, a beaming smile stretched across his muzzle. His eye was caught by a figure looming overhead. "Are we fighting the bird? In that case I'll have to refuse, I don't fancy being shat on." He added with a shake of his head, squinting at the feathery creature comically.

Slate | Insurgent Territory | Aramis, Tok, Jonah
Slate flinched as Aramis railed at him. "I'm half wolf, circling a combatant is second-nature. As soon as she attacked me I was lost. She was lucky I retained my senses enough to warn her, not that she listened." When Jonah spoke, Slate leaped up in a cloud of snow, his ears pinned to his skull and his lips pulled back in a snarl. He landed protectively in front of Aramis, his bulk blocking the other dog from being able to reach her.

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border
Mentions: Slate, Tok, Jonah(Directly)

"I'm half wolf, circling a combatant is second-nature. As soon as she attacked me I was lost. She was lucky I retained my senses enough to warn her, not that she listened." She blinked at his words, falling silent once more but still she didn't look happy or satisfied at all. "Then maybe you should have turned tail back to your own territory before she attacked you." Her growl was lower than before, quiet enough so that only she and Slate could hear. Her brow furrowed as she recalled his comment about being half wolf, and she spoke again. "If you being part wolf causes you to kill others so mercilessly, then perhaps you are too much of a risk to keep around." She added as coldly as before. "Ooh, a war? Am I invited?" Her eyes widened in surprise at the voice, and even moreso as she realized it wasn't from the raven, but someone else. "Are we fighting the bird? In that case I'll have to refuse, I don't fancy being shat on."

Before she could crane her neck to see who was talking, Slate had moved himself to block him from her view. Still angry, she spat, moving away from behind him so she stood at his side by a foot or two. "I don't need your protection." She hissed out, leering at him before she turned her gaze to.. Isa? Why was Slate being so protective when it was just Isa? And whose voice did that belong to? Aramis passed a quick look around, but saw no one else. Huh, so it was that bird. She thought, casting a small glance towards it before she started walking towards 'Isa', dipping her head as she tried to flatten the fur that pricked along her spine. "Apologies Isa; It's just come to my knowledge thatβ€”" She cut herself off as she got just a few feet away from who she thought was Isa, and so did her steps, eyes flying wide as she realized this wasn't Isa at all. This dog was a carbon copy of her sure, but this dog was a brute. "You're not.." At this realization she backed away, her ears folding back as she stared at the other in surprise. This stranger was so identical to her mother that she almost waltzed right up into his face. It couldn't be a coincidence. "...And who are you?"

Jonah| Loner | Location: Insurgent Border.
Mentions: Aramis, Slate, Tok.

He took a slight step back as the wolfdog whirled around to face him. Making note of the way he blocked the spotted lass from his sight, Jonah raised an eyebrow and grinned. A white knight, in shining armor? How heroic. He thought with a curl of his lip. "Woah there, murderβ€” I mean, mister! I mean no harm to you or your lady-friend." He exclaimed flippantly. "I don't need your protection." The female's hissing voice caused him to cock his head, sliding a worried gaze towards Slate. Ooh. You're in trouble, man. He all but said with his eyes. Standing and staring at the dalmatianesque canine as she traipsed up to him, he was quite confused by her demeanor. Wait, do I know her? Am I in trouble too? He began to panic internally, relief rushing over him as she spoke. "Apologies Isa; It's just come to my knowledge thatβ€”" He almost gasped as she mentioned his sister. "Isa!" He woofed, his ears dancing forwards out of excitement.

"You're not.." A devious grin appeared across his face as she studied her confused stare. It quickly disappeared and was replaced by a false, rugged, demeanor. "...And who are you?" He cleared his throat and puffed out his chest, "I'm Isa's clone. I've come back to behead her and take overβ€”" He glanced to the side, scanning their faces for a moment. His humorous attitude quickly dissolved away as he took in their expressions. This is probably a bad time to be doing this, huh? With the dead lady and all... He hummed softly and returned to a genteel stance. "Ah, tough crowd." He mumbled, sniffing awkwardly. "My name is Jonah, Isa is my sister." He replied finally, a more genuine smile forming on his face.

"You, um, wouldn't happen to know where she is?" He asked, peering around at the buildings that surrounded them. Glancing back up once more, he sneered at Tok. "Does the bird know? Honestly, that thing is starting to creep me out."

Roland | Loner | Outside of Territories | Mentions; Vanadis [directly]

"You didn't growl like I did?" Roland could almost laugh at such a simple response, but at least it was something. "Hah, yes. Staying as quiet as possible during a hunt is a guaranteed way to go unnoticed not only by your target, but also by other prey items in the area. They might be our food but they are intelligent in their own sense and can communicate with each other just as easily as you and I." Was that useful? I hope that was useful. I have no idea what I'm doing. He nudged the white-furred heap towards her. "Eat. Don't fill your belly, though. Sometimes hunger can be useful in a hunt. I will finish what you don't." He hauled himself up onto the bed of the truck, shaking it slightly. If his paw pads weren't already rough and calloused, he would have winced when his paws scraped against the old, weather-worn metal. He moved towards the back of the bed, and from there, hopped onto the top of the truck. He turned and sat down, lifting his nose high into the air. He looked as if he were about to howl- and honestly considered it. He glanced down at the much younger dog. Would she want to howl? I haven't since my last fight... It might give away our location to pack dogs, though...... Whatever. "Vanadis. Would you-" He paused. How on earth was he supposed to word this? "Do you want to howl? In congratulations of the hunt." He shuffled his paws outwards, widening his stance a bit and making himself look more impressive. More for himself than anybody else, really. "Or we could save it for the results of your hunt?"

Vanadis | Loner | Location: Unclaimed Territory
Mentions: Roland(Directly)

"Hah, yes. Staying as quiet as possible during a hunt is a guaranteed way to go unnoticed not only by your target, but also by other prey items in the area. They might be our food but they are intelligent in their own sense and can communicate with each other just as easily as you and I." Vanadis nodded slowly as Roland spoke, fortunately looking rather attentive as she looked at him. Her whiskers twitched slightly as he finished, repeating his words in her head so she'd keep them in her memory. That makes sense... No wonder all the mice in the store hid after I scared the first one. She said to herself. "Hmm, okay! I thought all prey were dumb." She said, her tail wagging more viciously as the brute nudged the hare closer to her. "Eat. Don't fill your belly, though. Sometimes hunger can be useful in a hunt. I will finish what you don't." Vanadis pulled the heap of fur closer with a paw, almost digging in at once before she recalled her manners, well, the little manners she has at this age. "Thank you!" She huffed, before settling down, holding the hare in place as she picked off the fur with her teeth quickly.

She had already been tearing strips of flesh away when Roland spoke up again, the wolfpup turning to look at him as he did so. "Vanadis. Would you-" Vanadis would have huffed out a little Would I what? Had the brute not spoken up quickly enough. "Do you want to howl? In congratulations of the hunt. Or we could save it for the results of your hunt?" Vanadis looked excited at this suggestion, thinking about what Roland taught her previously. "Yes! But we should wait after my hunt." She paused, as if she were thinking carefully about what she was going to say next. "Becaussse, if we make noise any prey around us will know we're here! Then they'd tell all their friends." She said, standing to walk carefully on the truck bed, dragging the hare with her. Vanadis had to rear on her hind legs, standing tall enough to haul the half eaten hare onto the top of the truck, in front of Roland. She looked awfully proud of her words despite trying to hide it, her chin held high, eyes squinted slightly. Placing her paws on the edge of the truck's top, she rested her chin on her paws, looking at the brute with a cheeky smile creeping on her features. "...That was smartβ€” wasn't it?" Vanadis said quietly, referring to what she had said.

"Yes! But we should wait after my hunt." Roland's dusty blue eyes tore away from their whitewashed surroundings, landing on the pup as she spoke. "Becaussse, if we make noise any prey around us will know we're here! Then they'd tell all their friends." A smile tugged at the edges of his lips. "Yes, good thinking." So I managed to get through to her. I guess I'm not half bad at this, huh? He could have given himself 'the look' in that very moment, had he not been confined to his own body. It's nothing to get so excited about... If anything she pointed out your slip up, you fool. He growled softly at himself. He refocused as she brought herself up on to lean on the top of the truck, scooting over a nudge to make room for the delivered rabbit carcass. His gaze wandered back out to the blank, cloud-covered skies. "...That was smartβ€” wasn't it?" He blinked at that, though he didn't bother to look at her. "Yes.. It was. You did well, catching my mistake so easily." He was getting closer and closer to smiling by the minute. Gods, is this what pups do to you? His mind trailed away for a moment. No. Maybe not. Perhaps I was just lonely, after all this time... He sighed audibly, raising his snout to take a deep sniff of the chilly air. The scent of fresh rabbit blood clouded his senses for a moment, but he was able to break through and explore the other smells brought to him by the wind. Deer, more rabbits, rats... Maybe trying for another rabbit would be best. Rats often carried diseases, and Roland knew that better than anybody- he had to check every one of his captures from the storehouse to ensure some odd illness wouldn't be transmitted to him. And deer would be something for the pup to try and hunt down when she was bigger, stronger. He wondered briefly how long the pup would be staying with him. Speaking of, I haven't even asked if she has a place to go... Wouldn't she had left already, or at least mentioned it, if she did? His beautiful blues flickered over to Vanadis. "Do you think you can get up here yourself? You'll be able to find possible targets easier from up here. It's best to be prepared, even if you aren't quite ready to chase anything down at the moment."

Selkie | Abolition | Abolition Camp/Territory | Mentions; N/A

Selkie turned over, her smooth, tan fur reflecting the intruding light in the dark of her den. The den was small- like her- and almost unnoticeable- unlike her- especially in this weather, where she'd often found herself having to dig her way out because of the endlessly falling snow that liked to wall off her only exit. Today, however, she was lucky. She sat up carefully, letting her eyes adjust, then gave herself a very judgmental once-over through a convenient little hand-held mirror that she'd dragged into her den one day. Not that she could actually hold it or clean it or anything, but a blurry reflection was better than none. She came to the conclusion that she looked like garbage right now and was quick to begin grooming herself, finishing swiftly. She finally stood and padded out of the den, silky fur bouncing satisfyingly as she moved. She took a glance around camp and huffed. Boring place, this is. I'd rather be picking burrs out of my fur than be stuck in this dump for any longer than I sleep. The little dog left camp without a second thought, heading for the forest with a hard, unreadable expression plastered onto her face. In other seasons she loved to visit the forest that bordered the pack's territory, as she usually found it relaxing and beautiful. Not so much in winter though. She was a very small dog, and that meant that she'd be quicker to catch cold than larger dogs, despite her thick fur. Discolored snow would catch onto her legs in uncomfortable clumps no matter where she went, and she found it harder to keep her eyes open in the icy winds. Despite all of that, the forest was still somewhat of a safe place for her. So, she continued forwards, eyes locked onto the not-so-distant trees that loomed above the ground impressively. An upside about being a dog of her size was that she was fast. Very fast. So fast that her paws were skittering across tree roots in just a few minutes. She stopped underneath the shelter of a spiky thicket that would protect her from any passerby. She gave herself a few minutes to get rid of the snow that was clinging to her fur, before sitting down and letting her dark eyes trail across the surrounding woods, dropping her cold expression and letting it be replaced by a dreamy. This spot was a little haven for her, a place she went to romanticize and dream away to her hearts content, without the fear of being judged by others. It was rather... Peaceful, really. I wish I had more free time like this...

Tok--

The raven listened to the dogs bicker, then frowned. He cawed again, ruffling his feathers. "Tell." he said again, eyeing the newer dog warily. "And also have manners." Tok snapped at him. "I do know where the Isa is." He turned his head away from them, then back. "Answer questions and maybe I answer yours." He hopped to a lower branch. "Before Koroneis comes."

Reo | Abolition Scout | Location: Abolition/Insurgent Border / Abolition Camp | Mentions: Synopy, Deanira, Likaen (Directly) Aramis, Slate, Tok (kinda indirectly/directly lol)

Reo had watched the scene of Aramis and Slate unfold. His eyes darted between the two. It appeared as if the spotted dame didn't even know what was wrong with her own packmate. His eyes narrowed as the female turned towards him. Reo could tell she didn't mean trouble, at least not yet. But he couldn't trust her all the way at all; she was a part of Insurgent anyways. Once narrowed, eyes widened in shock as she apologized for her packmate's behalf. The canine appreciated the apology but no one should apologize for someone else for murdering another dog. "Maybe get a hold of your packmate before you apologize for him." Reo simply stated. It may have come off a bit harsh but it was the truth.

But the next words that came out of the husky's mouth infuriated Reo beyond belief. Was Slate really sorry? Lost control of yourself? Promise it won't happen again? The sighthound pinned his ears against his head and snarled. "If you are so sorry, you wouldn't have killed her. If you couldn't control yourself now, your promise means nothing. Take your sorry ass home and cry your crocodile tears there." If looks really could kill, Slate would be in the hell below. "If the time of war ever comes, you'll be the first one, mutt. I know I'm scrawnier than you but you deserve it." The dog growled once more before turning away. The encounter already made him a different dog. He flicked his ear in response to a crow call. He couldn't care less. He went back to digging the grave for Jade and after a while, it was made and filled.

Reo arrived at the camp again, slow in his steps. His head hung low as he asked around for where the leaders presided. Eventually, he learned that they were(fortunately for him) all grouped together already. He headed over to the spots and saw the three. It was a little humourous site to see the small dog in between the two. As he slowly approached, he dipped his head in respect and sat down a few feet away. The sighthound gulped as he mustered the courage to blurt out the words. "Leaders. I have some bad news." A sigh escaped his mouth before he started again. "Our delta, Jade, was brutally murdered by an Insurgent member. She was on our territory, the other dog came onto our land and slaughtered her." Reo closed his eyes as he remembered discovering the scene. "I eventually met a dalmatian by the name of... Aramis, I think. She had no part in the act but she let the name of the killer slip- Slate. He also stated he so-called 'lost control' of himself." The canine bit his tongue back as anger-fueled in his body once more. It was such a pathetic response for that murderous brute. "I buried her body in the snow where the crime scene was." He finished his statement as he stared at the leaders, awaiting their responses.

Finch | Abolition Warrior | Location: Abolition Border | Mentions: Ferrer, Froot Loops, Sigge

Finch watched as the cat and Ferrer came closer to one another, but still keeping their distance. She laid down in the thick snow as if to let the strangers know not to worry about her size. She watched as the pup came close to Ferrer and she smiled as she saw how gentle the pup was. So little and so fragile. Her eyes moved back to the healer and the feline. Ferrer blurted out a question, about the original pup they were looking for. Of course, he was still worried for him. But Finch was more surprised at the fact the other youngin' could walk so well, taking the cat's words seriously. Apparently, to the cat's information, Slip 'wandered yee over and around' and gave no real information.

"Excuse me, sir. But did you happen to see where the pup went off to? We think it went across the border but obviously, we can't cross it. Did you see if anything happened to it?" Finch worried for the worst of course: if the pup somehow got taken and eaten. There are a lot of hungry loners around their territories. However, she didn't say anything explicit for Ferrer's sanity and all. Her eyes went back to the healer and the new pup that seemed to be close to him now. It wasn't Slip but maybe the new puppy could help with Ferrer's worries.

Slate | Insurgent Territory | Aramis, Tok, Jonah
Slate huffed as Aramis spoke to him again. "Then maybe you should have turned tail back to your own territory before she attacked you." "I was attempting to disengage from the situation when she leaped at me. What was I supposed to do? Run and let her kill me?" He growled softly. "Whatever, we should focus on what's going on now." He moved with Aramis, refusing to allow more than a foot of space between them. He growled louder as she moved closer to the loner, saying something about her mother. "Aramis, that's a loner" he said just as she reached the same conclusion. He stepped in front of her again, ignoring her assurances that she didn't need his protection. When the loner mentioned a war, Slate snarled, crouching slightly. "What happens between the packs is of no importance to you, loner. I suggest you leave our territory, before we force you to." As the raven spoke again, Slate's gaze snapped to it. "If you wish to hear what happened, Tok, you should wait until we reach camp."

Likaen | Abolition Camp | Deanira, Synopy, Reo, Rye
Likaen turned as Reo approached, his gaze taking in the slump in his posture, the pain in his eyes. "What happened?" He demanded as Reo stopped before them, dipping his head respectfully. "Our delta, Jade, was brutally murdered by an Insurgent member. She was on our territory, the other dog came onto our land and slaughtered her." Likaen closed his eyes for a moment, seemingly absorbing the information. "This is the last straw." He lifted his head, his eyes blazing, and let out an ear-shattering bark. "RYE." He called, turning to the other leaders as he waited for the golden-hued warrior to appear. "Rye and I will be going to the border to speak with Insurgent's leader. He has experience with them, and I trust him. You both should stay here so that only one of us is going into dangerous territory."

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Border
Mentions: Slate, Tok, Jonah(Directly)

"I'm Isa's clone. I've come back to behead her and take overβ€”" Aramis looked terribly unamused with the other's rambling, and in fact, she finally did seem amused at the way his face fell as he noticed She simply waited until he gave her an answer before she would snap at him to get it out already. "My name is Jonah, Isa is my sister." Her eyes widened at this, her defensive posture falling for a few heartbeats as her gaze studied him over once again. Makes an awful lot of sense, he really wasn't kidding when he said he's her clone. Isa never mentioned having a brother, though. Then again, she's never mentioned any of her family to Aramis, or her brothers before. "Ah. So that makes you my.. uncle, then." She stated, studying the brutes face for a reaction just before Slate had once again blocked her from 'Jonah.' At once she let out a frustrated huff, once again stepping around him so that she stood next to him, glaring at him once again. "Step in front of me one more time and I'llβ€”" She snapped her jaws shut, cutting herself off and her words only ending in a stifled growl. Not the time. She told herself, shaking her head as she listened to Slate's words. "What happens between the packs is of no importance to you, loner. I suggest you leave our territory, before we force you to."

Aramis stepped forward as Slate snapped at the bird, looking at Jonah suspiciously before she'd speak again. "No,we're not chasing him out. I believe him when he says hes related to isa. Just look at how similar he looks to her." She growled out to the warrior, giving him a small glance before she turned to Jonah again. "If you want to see Isa then we'll bring you to her. Try anything stupid and you'll regret it, mongrel." She said, her voice lowering to a growl by her next sentence. Turning to Slate in case he would protest, she let out a growl. "If he's not Isa's brother at all, we'll let Isa tear him apart herself. Til then, don't touch him, unless he tries something first." Aramis warned, almost as if she expected Slate to commit another murder right then and there. Turning to head back to camp and picking up her hare, she cringed inwardly as she recognized how much like her mother she sounded as she spoke. At least I'm not a complete replica of that broad. She thought, casting a glance over her shoulder to Slate, Jonah, and finally that weird raven. "Come on then, we don't have all day."

Deanira | Insurgent Co-Lead | Location: Insurgent Camp
Mentions: Synopy, Reo, Likaen, Amina(Directly) Rye(Indirectly)

At the sound of paw steps coming near Deanira's large, blocky head turned, her gaze landing on the thin frame of Reo, curiously. The buck's face looked grim, something that made another heavy weight of unease heave onto her shoulders. "Leaders. I have some bad news." Deanira gulped herself at the brute's words. "Our delta, Jade, was brutally murdered by an Insurgent member. She was on our territory, the other dog came onto our land and slaughtered her." Her large frame would stiffen from the scout's words, her eyes narrowing and becoming hot with anger. She stayed silent however, as the brute continued, right until he was done. Deanira almost didn't believe Reo, that he was just playing some type of cruel joke, but the anger and pain on the buck's face easily proved otherwise. First it was a warrior, and now a delta? A look of grief crossed over her features momentarily as the gray hued dame came to mind, but it was quickly swept away by Likaen's loud bark. "Rye and I will be going to the border to speak with Insurgent's leader. He has experience with them, and I trust him. You both should stay here so that only one of us is going into dangerous territory." Deanira stood up at this, staring at Likaen with such a hardened gaze that it easily could have been written off as her being angry at him. Her eyes swirled with a mix of both determination and anger as she gazed at him, however.

"You think I wouldn't have a word with that broad either? No, I'm going, and you can't stop me." Her growl was loud as it rumbled deep from her chest, looking to Synopy and Reo. "Would any of you like to join us? It's alright if you don't want to, I understand that something like this may be hard to go through once again." She offered, though her later sentence was directed to Reo more than Synopy. The scout had already come to find Mavy's corpse not more than a week before, she couldn't imagine how he felt after seeing Jade.
After this, Deanira would quickly slip away, descending down to steps in search of Abolition's beta, Amina. Deanira's gaze landed on the looming figure just a few feet away, chewing on a rib bone as usual. A huff slipped out of Deanira's maw a she neared, announcing her presence before she stopped just in front of her, an urgent look on her face. "Amina, I trust that you'll take charge here at camp while Likaen and I go to speak with Insurgent's leader. If you see any Insurgent scum nearing our camp," She paused, her expression twisting into a grimace. "I give you full permission to tear them apart." She spoke to the other, sharing a long, trusting look to the other doe before she'd dip her head, taking a few steps back before she'd near the edge of camp, looking back to where the group of dogs she was with earlier were. "We'd best hurry if we intend on getting there before Sun-Down."

Vanadis | Loner | Location: Unclaimed Territory
Mentions: Roland(Directly)

"Yes, good thinking. You did well, catching my mistake so easily." Vanadis grinned happily at the praise, her tail whipping back and forth so fast behind her it just looked like a white blur. She calmed down however fixing the brute with an admiring gaze. "You know, I want to be as fast as you when I grow up. I'd be able to catch anything regardless of how much noise I make." She piped up, referring to when he chased down the hare she just ate from. Vanadis watched as he lifted his nose to sniff at the air, and she did the same as well, slowly gaining a habit of copying everything he does. With a nose as young inexperienced as hers however, she couldn't smell anything besides the hares blood, and she let out a frustrated huff. "Do you think you can get up here yourself? You'll be able to find possible targets easier from up here. It's best to be prepared, even if you aren't quite ready to chase anything down at the moment." "I can get up!" She said confidently, paws scrabbling to heave herself up where Roland was. She struggled for quite a bit, refusing to acknowledge the obvious fact she was just too short to get up. Finally, she stopped, letting out a quiet growl, swiping her paws near Roland. "Help me up." Vanadis looked a bit peeved about the fact she couldn't get herself up, waiting for Roland to help her.

Synopy | Abolition Co-lead | Abolition Camp | Mentions: (Directly) Deanira, Likaen, Reo, (Indirectly) Rye, Jade

Synopy nodded at Rye, before walking past him to listen to what Likaen had to say. She had missed a part of what he was going to say, but she was sure that she didn't have to worry too much. "The other matter is the circumstances under which Rye and I found this loner. Rye had encountered Insurgent dogs near the border and a scuffle ensued with the loner. After the matter was handled, I warned the Insurgent scout that we would not be able to be as kind as I was earlier if we encounter them again with more of our pack mates, as they are still recovering from the loss of Mavy. She seemed shocked when I mentioned that Mavy was a mother, and this leads me to believe that rather than being a coordinated act by the pack, Mavy's murder was the result of the actions of one rouge member. I fear that our pack mates are blaming the wrong party for the loss of Mavy, and it may result in dire consequences." Synopy absolutely agreed with Likaen's statment, "Indeed, I doubt that the entire Insurgent pack knew about one dog from our pack heading towards their territory. The only way that could be is that if they themselves were snooping around in our territory." As so she spoke truth, after all most of the pack hadn't considered the possibility it might've not been a coordinated attack by the whole Insurgent pack. Though the thought that the Insurgent pack had a dog who'd kill a mother from another pack still made her shudder. It was expected, however. "I hear what you're saying. I think its wise to consider that there may be rogue members of Insurgent murdering our own, but we must be careful with this. Are you sure she wasn't just surprised at the fact Mavy was a mother? We must take into consideration that Mavy was a new mother, after all. It wasn't long after she had her pups that she was murdered. She still could have known about the attack, just not about the fact Mavy was a mother." Deanira was right. Even if it was by one member, by now, the pack would've known of the news that one of their members had killed another dog from outside of the pack. "And even if it is a rogue member, Insurgent is still at fault. I'll let it slide this time, but if something like what happened to Mavy occurs once again, i'll be sure to pay Isa a visit to make sure she gets her followers in control, or to put an end to whatever she is planning. Whatever that may be." Synopy didn't take anything against confronting the Insurgent Leader. But she wasn't for sure if Isa were to be planning anything in general. If she was however, then they would have a lot of conflict. "I have nothing to say. Confronting Isa is reasonable." Synopy sighed, the thoughts of war and death continued to haunt her throughout the discussion. What if the Insurgent pack considered confronting them like declaring war? She was just paranoid. It wouldn't happen.

As the leaders settled into an agreement and conclusion, the figure of a golden dog, Reo. The expression on his face made her anxious, hoping that he might've just been having a bad day or anything other than conflict. "Leaders. I have some bad news." She knew it, the pit of worry in her stomach grew rapidly as the golden dog was about to continue. "Our delta, Jade, was brutally murdered by an Insurgent member. She was on our territory, the other dog came onto our land and slaughtered her." She hadn't ever been very upset or angry at a single dog, or a group of dogs for as long as she had remembered. But the moment Reo had spoke it infuriated her. Not a warrior, but this time, a delta All positive thoughts had vanished from her mind as it clouded with hateful thoughts. "I eventually met a dalmatian by the name of... Aramis, I think. She had no part in the act but she let the name of the killer slip- Slate. He also stated he so-called 'lost control' of himself." Lost control? That seemed ridiculous to her, she usually would understand but she was enraged and couldn't think positively at the moment. "I buried her body in the snow where the crime scene was." After the finishing statement, all Synopy managed to get out was, "This...is a tragedy," she said with a saddened expression, Jade was a helpful and friendly dog in the pack. Her loss would deepen the pack's sadness. "Rye and I will be going to the border to speak with Insurgent's leader. He has experience with them, and I trust him. You both should stay here so that only one of us is going into dangerous territory." As Likaen spoke up, Synopy was going to speak up to ask to go along, but waited for Deanira's input. "You think I wouldn't have a word with that broad either? No, I'm going, and you can't stop me." It was clear, Deanira was going. It was just for her to ask to join in, but she was unsure the other two would want her to go as without her presence at camp, something could go wrong with nobody to handle it. "Would any of you like to join us? It's alright if you don't want to, I understand that something like this may be hard to go through once again." Finally speaking up, "May I join you two? I don't expect you to agree." Synopy asked, unsure of their response. Hopefully she could come. Why did she hope? It wasn't like her.

Stoney | Loner | Insurgent Camp | Mentions: (Direct) Shadow, Fang, Quillion

"Well hello there Stoney, I thought you were asleep. My name is Shadow. You have lovely eyes little pup." The black dog replied, "Oh yeah!! My mother gave me them" he said with a bright smile. The black dog was really friendly, the possibility of a new friend was great. "Currently we are in my den that I hope to share with my friend Quillion here once he gets better. We are both part of the Insurgent pack, who is at odds with the Abolition pack. But you don't need to worry about the conflicts yet, you're too young to be bothered with such things." Stoney looked at her curiously, "I come from a pack too! Though I don't know where my family is." he told Shadow. As they were having a conversation, he noticed another dog walk past them. Standing up and running towards them excitedly, "Hello! What is your name? I'm Stoney!" the pup introduced himself. The dog seemed a bit less friendly than Shadow, but he could still be friends with him!

Fang | Insurgent Scout | Insurgent Territory --> Insurgent Camp | Mentions:

Fang shuffled through the snow, lost in his own thoughts. He smelled the eerie scent of blood from far away, dog blood. He didn't know what was going on, and he didn't want to know. Eventually trailing the trails back to the camp, for the millionth time. He couldn't just walk around the whole day with no incentive. He saw the figures of Shadow and Quillion. And...a little pup? Should he come up to them. He walked past them, trying not to catch their attention. Quillion seemed heavily beat up, deep in slumber. Shadow was talking to the little pup. Suddenly, the pup ran towards Fang, "Hello! What is your name? I'm Stoney!" Argh. Pups were such a pain to deal with. "Fang." he said coldly, hoping to change the pup's mind. He didn't mean much harm, but he was semi-afraid that if he were to get any closer to the pup, it might take after him. And that was a bad thing.

Amina| Abolition Beta| Abolition Territorry--> Abolition Camp| Mentions:

The great beast of a dog glanced around the area, making sure she wasn't followed, before making her way into camp dragging the corpse of a sizable juvenile boar for her pack. She drags the beast in, giving a thundering growl as she takes it to the center of camp. She would leave her catch to the pack and she'd go and sit by her den. She was definitely tired, but likely something else was bothering her.

Shadow | Den (Insurgent Camp) | Stoney, Fang, Quillion, Curly, Aramis, Isa, Casseopia
Shadow carefully extracted themself from where they were curled up with Quillion as Stoney dashed up the short tunnel to the surface. "Slow down little pup, I need to be able to keep an eye on you." They padded out of their den, nodding to Fang before noticing that Stoney was talking to him. "This is one of our scouts Stoney. They make sure that no dogs who aren't in our pack are in our territory, and help gather food." They gently nudged Stoney past Fang, walking into the hospital to give him a tour. "This is our camp. Over there you see the prey pile. Oh, it seems some of the other members of the pack are still here as well." They padded over to where Curly was, well, curled up around another pup. Isa was laying near by with a third. "It seems we have quite a few new additions to the pack." They nodded to Curly. "Stoney, this is Curly. She's one of our warriors. And it seems she has a young friend with her. Over there is our alpha Isa, who also appears to have a pup with her." They nodded to Isa, their expression hardening before they turned back to Stoney. "I don't think there's much else I can show you, so why don't we head back to my den?"

Slate | Insurgent Territory | Aramis, Tok, Jonah
Slate huffed as Aramis stepped up beside him again. Fine, if she wants to be stubborn, then... He turned to follow her as she padded away, but waited for Jonah to follow. "I'll go last." He leaned in to whisper in Jonah's ear. "Don't try anything. I'd rip your throat out before I let you hurt her, understand?" He bared his teeth before backing away again, following behind at a reasonable distance.

Likaen | Abolition Camp | Deanira, Rye, Synopy, Reo
Likaen nodded as both Deanira and Synopy spoke up, saying they wished to accompany him. "Very well. I won't stop you from coming along. We should appoint someone as our successor in case something happens though. We don't want the pack falling apart if we disappear. I'll leave the decision to you lovely ladies. Meet me at the edge of camp when you're ready to leave." He padded off, his normally graceful movements instead heavy with the weight of grief.
