This RP is closed and has been remade here: LINK A feminine, monotone voice echoes through the halls of a suburban family home, "An estimated 250 dogs live at the plant itself, 225 in the city of Chernobyl, and hundreds more roam around, for a total of more than 1,000, according to SPCA International. Wolves and the need for food have driven the dogs from wooded areas surrounding the plant into the Exclusion Zone." Suddenly, a sharper female voice cuts in. "Don't watch something so depressing, sweetie. The puppies are fine." The screen goes black. setting music The city is picturesque from the television screen. Though living amongst the crumbling, overgrown, radioactive buildings is another hell entirely. Dogs whose ancestors were abandoned by their masters in order to escape the explosion generations ago still remain here to this day, too far into the Exclusion Zone to be saved by any humans residing outside of Chernobyl. Many have been born with birth defects, sometimes visible but more often affecting their minds, organs and lifespans. Two major packs have risen out of the dust, Abolition and Insurgent. The packs have always been at odds but due to the encroachment of wolves and low resources, space is low and tempers are at an all time high. Can they come together to overcome the odds or will their own greed tear them down?
Current season: Early Winter. [Frigid temperatures. Long nights, short and dark days.] Current major events: Time Skip!! 9/5 Two Abolition dogs have been killed by Insurgent pack members. This has caused unrest in both packs. A massive snow storm has swept over Chernobyl, bringing an early winter and a shortage of supplies.

Reo | Abolition Scout | Location: Abolition Camp | Mentions: Synopy, Deanira, Likaen The dog watched as each expression on the leader change as he spoke the news. Anger was prevalent in everyone. Greif flashed through everyone's eyes as they discussed what to do. Apparently, all three leaders were going to go off to the camp. Reo, strangely, wanted to accompany them. He wanted to bear witness to the two he met earlier. How would that murderer feel seeing all three leaders of the Abolition pack go? Would that spotted dame react in any sort of way either? However, the canine knew it wasn't best to come along. But if anything bad happens, it's a whole pack against three dogs. One of which is way smaller than him. Zoning back in, Reo heard Likaen speak. "We should appoint someone as our successor in case something happens though. We don't want the pack falling apart if we disappear." A thought popped into his head. He was a good dog, a good scout. Reo considered himself a diligent worker and he knew others held respect for him. Perhaps it was awful timing, but it was the best timing, in a sense. "Uh, excuse me Leaders, but if I may. It's quite the timing to ask, but may I fulfill Jade's old Delta role? I consider myself a hard worker, and I trained under her lead many times." The dog wanted to keep his request short. He had to make himself look appealing but not take too much of their time. Likaen seemed to have already gone off and he started to see Deanira slip away as well. Perhaps it was bad timing after all. The canine sighed lightly as he scolded himself over the encounter. He should have just waited until they came back from talking. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jonah| Loner | Location: Insurgent Border - Insurgent Territory. Mentions: Aramis, Slate, Tok. He studied the spotted dame as her eyes grew wide, his head tilting slightly. Was it something I said? His gaze darted over to Slate as he huffed and puffed some kind of aggressive front, "What happens between the packs is of no importance to you, loner. I suggest you leave our territory, before we force you to." The male's threat did little to faze Jonah, and his eyes squinted as his smile grew into a semi-feigned grin. "Aren't you just peachy," The words were comically forced through his teeth. "βbut I won't be going anywhere. I've come to seeβ" His mouth snapped shut as Aramis piped up, "Ah. So that makes you my.. uncle, then." He was quite taken aback by her words and stood there awkwardly as the wheels turned in his head. "Uncle?" The word finally spilled out, rather absent-mindedly. "You're Isa's kid? I'm your uncle?" He blurted out finally, his eyes brightening happily. He studied her for a moment before his joy-filled expression sunk away. She's an adult. How long has it been since I last saw Isa's pups? He sighed softly, "Oh, that makes me feel old. You don't have kids, do you? Noβ Don't tell me. That would basically make me a grandpa and I'm not ready for it." He turned away dramatically and stared at the ground as he thought. My niece? So the nephews are around somewhere too. Whirling back around, his eyes searched the area curiously. He waited patiently until after Aramis had grumbled something out to Slate, cringing slightly as his gaze darted between them. "If you want to see Isa then we'll bring you to her. Try anything stupid and you'll regret it, mongrel." Before Jonah could respond, the dalmatian-type canine had turned back to murder dog. "If he's not Isa's brother at all, we'll let Isa tear him apart herself. Til then, don't touch him, unless he tries something first." He followed quickly after her as she beckoned, offering Slate a smug glance as he trotted past him. "Don't worry, my dear niece. This mongrel isn't stupid enough to try anything." He responded haughtily as he pranced along behind her. Glancing back up, he suddenly remembered the bird. Yuck. The bird... "Don't try anything. I'd rip your throat out before I let you hurt her, understand?" He was suddenly stopped in his tracks by the sudden whisper. A chill ran up his spine and he physically hopped away from the other male. "Bleughβ Don't do that so suddenly." He woofed, glowering at Slate as he shook the chills away. "Why would I harm my niece? Unlike you, I don't go around slaughtering dogs, let alone the ones I'm related to." He scolded with a sniff, watching Slate leerily until he had fallen behind. "Are you lot always this stuffy?" He asked, picking up speed to catch up with Aramis. His eyes darted around the city, his demeanor relaxing at last. "Ah, last time I was here it had flooded all the way up to the first set of windows. You and your brothers had just been born, Isa hadn't picked out names ye-" He voice trailed off and eyes went wide, rushing his attention back to the spotted female he dipped his muzzle and stared at her curiously. "What is your name? Kardama| Loner | Location: Outside the Territories - Abolition Outskirts. (Forest.) Mentions: Artemis, Selkie. Not much time had passed since Kardama's inquiries. She suddenly lifted her massive head and furrowed her eyebrows. The forest around them was eerily moving, alive with the soft creeping of paws circling around the duo. Her muscles tensed lightly and lips drew back to reveal her teeth. This isn't the pups family. She decided, her wary leer studying their surroundings cautiously. How many wolves have moved into the area since I've been here last? The thoughts swept through her mind as she took a few pawsteps to stand protectively over Artemis. "We need to leave." Her voice rushed out in a whisper, her cherry eyes turning to stare down at the other dog. The soft huffing whispers of the unseen canines caused a chill to run up the Rottweiler's spine. Typically, she would have faced them and run them off with the sting of her teeth. In this instance, however, there was the pup to think about. Before the little tot or herself could protest, she bent her head down and grabbed the wolfdog by the scruff. "Hang tight, little one." She muttered through a mouthful of fur. Without another word, the brute swung around and began to dash her way through the forest. The thundering of large paws behind her could be heard, but the figures stayed just out of their line of sight. Only occasionally, a tall, dark, figure would leap across the trail that her paws had made and disappear back into the shadows. As they drew closer to Abolition, Kardama paid little mind to the sudden rush of pack scent that hit her nose. Her paws carried her further through the trees until, finally, the sound of footsteps had faded away. It was only then that she slowed her pace to a trot, her head swaying back and forth as she made sure they had lost them. As she turned her head, the pup she held in her mouth waved as well. She huffed quietly and strolled to a stop, plopping Artemis back onto the snow-covered ground. "Sorry." She woofed the single-worded apology, grimacing as she attempted to spit the fur out that had gotten stuck to her muzzle. Turning back around, she glared at the trail her paws had made on the forest floor. "They must have stopped at the border." Her words came out in a huff. They were directed mostly at herself, though she didn't mind if the pup knew as well. Suddenly, it came to her attention that they were being watched. From where? She didn't know. Her massive head swiveled around as she sniffed at the air, leering into the dark shadows of the woods. "Stay close, pup. We aren't alone." 0 players like this post! Like? |

At least eat before you go. I left a boar near the center of camp." She said after nearly snapping the bone in her jaws in half. "The insurgents are getting cocky, what's next attacking you or I? Or, moon forbid, Synopy?" She asked with a semi-sharp tone. "Attacking us on their turf is one thing, but coming here and slaughtering our dogs? Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Territory --> Insurgent Camp Mentions: Slate, Tok, Jonah, Koroneis(Directly) Cassiopeia(Indirectly) "You're Isa's kid? I'm your uncle?" Did he.. not know Isa had puppies? Then again, this brute was a loner, so he probabl didn't stick around long enough to see his kin's pups. Aramis watched his shocked expression for a few seconds before she'd speak. "Yeah- I pretty sure that's what it means if you're Isa's brother." She said bluntly, and a little awkwardly, already turning to walk back home. The brute looked happy at what Aramis was telling him, a look that seemed terribly out of place on a face that was nearly identical to Isa's. "Oh, that makes me feel old. You don't have kids, do you?" She didn't expect Jonah to be so talkative, but Aramis wasn't bothered by it, just surprised. She had to acknowledge the fact she was the same way when Jet finally came home, hurling so many questions at him in quick succession. Thinking back to his question, Aramis's ears pulled back as the little brown heap of fur she rescued from the storm came to mind immediately, but she shook it off quickly. Aramis never really thought about having puppies of her own, not ever actually. The scout had been too focused on her duties to do so, besides, she's a little young for that, right? Isa must've been around my age when she had us, though. After that thought, she'd finally answerβ rather, tried to answer. "Uhh, nβ" "Noβ Don't tell me. That would basically make me a grandpa and I'm not ready for it." Aramis couldn't even get her sentence out before Jonah cutting her off, the spotted dame growling softly. "....Okay." She simply said in response, looking back over her shoulder at him curiously. Could she be too sure a dog like him was in the same litter as Isa? Her ears pricked as Slate spoke. "I'll go last." For the first time in a while it seemed as though Aramis wasn't irritated with the warrior's words, simply nodding, huffing against the hare's fluff in agreement. It's best if he stayed back anyway, if Jonah tried to launch himself at her, which she greatly doubted, he'd be able to stop it before he got too far. Already proved that he's good at putting an end to things." She thought grimly, a shudder going down her spine. Hopefully it didn't have to resort to that. As if the brute had heard her thought's Jonah spoke out. "Don't worry, my dear niece. This mongrel isn't stupid enough to try anything." Aramis remained silent at that, mildly put off by Jonah's title for her. My dear niece? She'd have to get use to that, for sure. The scout heard Slate whispering something, but couldn't pick up his words, though she definitely heard Jonah's, which gave her the idea that Slate's whispering was a threat. "Why would I harm my niece? Unlike you, I don't go around slaughtering dogs, let alone the ones I'm related to." Ohβ he's got a mouth on him, for sure. Aramis wasn't sure whether or not Slate would handle that well. Him stating that he wouldn't hurt his own kin made Aramis's jaws tighten around the hare in her maw, easily thinking about the incident where Isa mauled her brother's face. If only Isa had that same mentality. If anyone had been close enough they would have seen the sadness that flitted on her features, gone as quick as it arrived. "Are you lot always this stuffy?" Jonah's voice made her realize how close the brute had gotten to her, and she nearly flinched, gazing at him warily. "Not always. It's been a day." She said with a shrug, adjusting her grip on the hare so that she could speak without sounding so muffled. "Ah, last time I was here it had flooded all the way up to the first set of windows. You and your brothers had just been born, Isa hadn't picked out names ye- What is your name?" Ah, so Aramis has met him before. She must've been very young if Isa didn't pick out any names yet. Explains why she wouldn't recall him at all, especially her brothers. Jonah's curious gaze locked on her own as she turned to look at him finally. "It's Aramis. I'm guessing you're wondering about your... nephews too. One of them is Quillon, the other is Jet." Speaking of which, she needs to check on those two as soon as she gets Jonah and herself home, and that pup her food. Her gaze lifted towards the raven, who spoke again, just before someone crashed through a bush. Aramis stopped in her tracks, a paw raising as she stared out at whoever the newcomer was. The scout recognized Koroneis's brown, mottled pelt immediately, relaxing as she did, her steps continuing once again. The dame looked terrified, which wasn't that unusual to see. It was quite similar to Raymond, actually. Aramis watched her speak to the raven curiously, waiting for Koro's exchange with her companion to stop before she'd speak out. "Greetings Koro, everything's fine, you don't need to worry." Aramis barked out at the other through the hare's fluff, hoping it would ease the panicked dame somehow. "This brute's no threat, we're taking him back to camp. Mind joining us?" She further explained, still walking as she spoke to her. Whether or not the coydog would accept the offer, Aramis would keep walking, her pace quickening as she grew evermore curious about Isa's reaction to Jonah. When Aramis reached Insurgent's empty camp, she let out a loud bark, hoping it would reach Isa, wherever the broad was. "Isa! Someone has come to speak with you. Your brother, so he says." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Roland | Loner | Outside of Territories | Mentions; Vanadis [directly] "You know, I want to be as fast as you when I grow up. I'd be able to catch anything regardless of how much noise I make." Roland rolled that idea over in his head for a moment. She might have the potential... "I think- Er.. I believe that you'll be able to get up to my level someday, however far away in time that may be." The fumbled words didn't see completely serious, as they had a surprising little intent of humor sprinkled over them, but he did mean it. He thought, genuinely, that the pup would be a very strong dog, with a spirit like hers. He looked down at the noise of paws scrabbling against metal, ear twitching. What a racket. Despite the slight annoyance he felt by the noise, he did watch her struggle with a rather smug, amused look cast into his eyes. "Help me up." He cracked a slight smirk at this. Yes. A smirk. He lowered the front half of his body so that he was crouching, and carefully reached over the pup to grab her gently by the scruff. He lifted her up onto the top of the truck with ease, setting her down a bit rougher than he'd meant to. "Might be some time until your puppy legs can stretch as far as mine, no?" He resumed his confident, poised position from before, letting the little smirk erase itself from his muzzle as he sniffed the air again. Good. The other rabbit is still there. Let's see if she can pick it out... "Go ahead, see if you can smell anything." Selkie | Abolition | Abolition Territory | Mentions; Kardama, Artemis Selkie was shaken into awareness by the sound of crunching snow beneath heavy paws. She backed a bit further into her thicket, hiding herself entirely from whatever the approaching noise was coming from. It took a moment, but her eyes fell upon a large and brutish- Yet rather attractive, she noted- dog, a pup dangling from their jaws. She took a deep, silent inhale, taking in their scents from her position. Both females. The little one smells a bit wolf-ish. She silently thanked the surrounding borders for masking her own scent as she further studied the two dogs ahead of her. She took in as many details as she could about each of them, simply from appearance and scent, coming to the assumption that they likely weren't related and had met somewhat recently, perhaps yesterday or a few days before. She pressed herself even lower to the ground. That broad was so much larger compared to her- she'd be mulch if she even dared provoke to her. She instead looked behind her, backing up as quietly as she could, to put more thicket between her and the strangers. Well... I don't sound like a small dog, so maybe..... She cleared her throat generously, calling out to them in a voice that, indeed, didn't seem to fit a small dog at all. "Why are you in our territory?" She answered it herself. "Shouldn't you have more sense than to let yourselves get chased across the border by wolves? They at least know better than to set foot onto our turf!" She sounded a little bit demanding, but her tone held no aggressive objective. She was more curious, really. She gave herself a mental pat on the back for not sounding like a squealing pup. I sound like an impressive warrior! Her tail almost wagged, but she forced it to keep still. Her dark eyes bored into the Rottweiler mix and wolf-ish pup intensely, staying hidden and waiting for their next move. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 28/09/21 @ 05:21:29 by π (#238465) |

Kardama| Loner | Location: Abolition Outskirts. (Forest.) Mentions: Artemis, Selkie. "Wh- What was that?" Her normally stoic features were shaken as the pup stumbled a few steps and covered their face with their paws. "I told you to stay close." She hissed, eyes scanning the surrounding brush as she reached out a paw and dragged Artemis back towards her. "They were wolves, little one. Can you not recognize your own kind?" She woofed, her booming voice much less cross. They're not what we need to worry about now. Her jaw tightened and torn ears flattened against her skull. Pack dogs... She wasn't particularly fond of them, greedy, illiberal, canines grasping to keep hold of a land and resources that would eventually be stripped away with time. The only forgiving quality of groups, at least in Kardama's mind, was the safety in numbers. Safety... She suddenly leered down at Artemis, an intrigued expression settling onto her scarred features. Of course. A pack would take a little one such as this in... She'd be safe. Her eyes beamed as she looked away. "Say, pupβ" "Why are you in our territory?" The sharp voice cut across her own, causing Kardama to whirl around in an attempt to find the source. Her tattered ears swiveled back and forth and she tucked Artemis protectively behind her paws as they spoke again. "Shouldn't you have more sense than to let yourselves get chased across the border by wolves? They at least know better than to set foot onto our turf!" Her brow furrowed at the voice, her head slowly turning in an eerie manner as she searched. "Would you rather we had been eaten, pack dog?" She woofed the inquiry out, her cherrywood irises appearing dark red in the shadows of the trees. They flickered back and forth, suddenly spotting a set of rather small tracks in the snow. A pup? Her head tilted to the side. No... The voice had come from an adult dog, I'm sure. Do they have a young one with them? Why? Her eyes followed the pawprints to a tangle of thorns. "Are you suggesting you're more ferocious than a troop of wolves? That's mighty high praise." Her eyes settled steadily on the thicket as she spoke, though she hadn't entirely spotted the small figure lurking within, her expression read otherwise. "Come out then, little wolf." Her voice was demanding, but also curious. The demeanor across her body and face remained steady, stoical. Ferrer| Abolition | Location: Abolition Territory. Mentions: Sigge, Finch, Loops. (Directly.) Slip, Dyse. (Indirectly.) He physically cringed at the cat's explosion of banter. Stanky mouf? Li'l, chonky, weird, walkin' sausage, thing? Is it describing... pups? Or itself? The confusions was apparent on Ferrer's scarred face and his muzzle remained semi-open, a single noise slipping out. "...Aye?" He mumbled, bewildered. "Excuse me, sir. But did you happen to see where the pup went off to? We think it went across the border but obviously, we can't cross it. Did you see if anything happened to it?" He forced his mouth to close at last and whirled his gaze towards Finch as she inquired about Slip. At least she knows what it said... He thought, blinking rapidly. His brain still rattled from the jumble of words he was trying to string together. Ferrer's eyes flickered away from the odd cat as the pup began to wobble his way. He lowered his head to meet her gaze, his sawed-off tail beginning to wiggle slightly. "Hello, wee lass. Who might you be?" He asked, meeting her smile with his own faint one. "Would ye like to come with us? There's a pup back at home who would love to meet you." His voice was soft as he spoke of Dyse, though a tinge of pain settled in his expression as he thought of the lad and how he would wake up with his brother missing. I wonder how he's doing. He slept in awfully late this morning... The older dog's mind wandered for a moment, an inaudible sigh escaping his maw. 0 players like this post! Like? Selkie | Abolition | Abolition Territory | Mentions; Kardama, Artemis "Would you rather we had been eaten, back dog?" She blinked. What a silly question to ask a stranger. "Honestly? I could care less." It was a short, gruff response, but it definitely got the point across. Her eyes followed the broad's seemingly red ones nervously. Right, pawprints. Well, it wasn't like she'd expected this encounter prior to leaving camp. "Are you suggesting you're more ferocious than a troop of wolves?" She didn't answer that one. She certainly had much more things to say than the feral beasts that wandered through unclaimed lands. "Come out then, little wolf." Her fur prickled when she realized the other dog was staring at her hiding spot. 'Little wolf?' Shoot, okay. Ehm, it'll be fine... Probably. She dragged herself forwards against the ground, standing and shaking off her fur once she was out of her thicket. Her silky fur fell in place perfectly around her small, round features, and she could tell. Good. I don't look completely stupid then. "This is what you wanted. What exactly do you plan on doing now, packless?" Her voice was still stern and she spat out the last word like acid on her tongue, practically glaring into the stranger's very soul- but really, she just looked like an angry ball of fluff. 0 players like this post! Jonah| Loner | Location: Insurgent Territory - Insurgent Camp. Mentions: Aramis, Slate, Isa. (Directly.) Tok, Koroneis. (Indirectly.) "Not always. It's been a day." He nodded to the response, "I understand. Sorry about... me. I should've been a little more serious." He said with a smile. As the apology rolled off of his tongue he let his gaze slip away and settle on the buildings as they walked. The other group's dog... So killing one another is seen as a bad thing now? That's an improvement. Jonah thought, his brow furrowing slightly. Last time he had visited Insurgent they had been in an all-out war with the other pack. Even he had been present during a few deaths, not that he intended or wanted to see such things. They would simply toss the fallen soldiers into shallow graves and move on, whether they were of this pack or the other. A shudder interrupted his stride as he recalled the surreal events, only cutting them off when Aramis spoke again. "It's Aramis. I'm guessing you're wondering about your... nephews too. One of them is Quillon, the other is Jet." His attention swung back towards the younger dog as she introduced herself and mentioned her brother's names. He tilted his chin up and pensive expression washed over his face, appearing quite lost in thought. He finally nodded after a moment and a smile reformed onto his muzzle. "Aramis, Quillon, and Jet." He repeated, glancing over towards the other dog. "I'll try my best to remember them, Aramis. You'll have to forgive me if I forget, I'm not the best as remembering names." His voice was cheerful as he continued his response. Tok squawking something out and then crashing into the brush caused him to cringe. Did it speak? No, not possible. He stared warily at the black mass of feathers as a figure hiding in the bushes whispered something frantically at the raven. Okay... that's odd. An apparent expression of concern was plastered across his face. "Greetings Koro, everything's fine, you don't need to worry. This brute's no threat, we're taking him back to camp. Mind joining us?" "Koro?" He mumbled out, mostly under his breath. Is that the name of the bird or the thing talking to it? His paws stumbled a bit as he quickly power-walked to catch up with the spotted dame. "Does it live with your pack?" He whispered through his teeth, casting a suspicious gaze over his shoulder towards Tok. His fur was puffed out slightly from fear. That's it. I'm going to have nightmares. "Isa! Someone has come to speak with you. Your brother, so he says." He flinched a bit as she barked out the call. As soon as he was over the tiny bit of surprise, his demeanor shifted almost instantaneously. His tail began to wag enthusiastically behind him as he searched the camp curiously for Isa, unfazed by the large amount of strange scents. As Isa's sleek form emerged from the hospital entrance, Jonah's ears perked forwards, "Isa! Iβ" "Why are you here? Leave." His voice was cut off by the sharp barking of words. His tail and ears sunk at the harshness of his sister's tone, a forced laugh escaping his muzzle. "Ahaha, always a comedian." He slunk towards the almost identical dog, his ears flat against his head. "I've come to join the pack! I thought you guys could use an extra set of paws around to help feed everyone." The pained smile across his muzzle never faltered as he quickly spat the words out. Isa | Insurgent Leader | Location: Insurgent Camp. Mentions: Slip, Shadow, Stoney, Aramis, Jonah, Slate. The soft patter of pawsteps caused her eyes to slide open. In the light of the doors, she was met by the tall figure of her beta and a tiny pup toddling around at their feet. What odd luck we've been having. She thought without moving her head, the word 'luck' passing through her mind quite sarcastically. She reached out her paws and raised herself from the cold ground with a stretch. How long have I been asleep? Turning to glance around the room, she deducted that it couldn't have been too long. It was still daylight outside at least, and it seemed as though the storm was completely gone at this point. She opened her muzzle wide to yawn before strolling towards the dark-coated wolfdog and the smaller canine at their feet. "Another one? I wouldn't have guessed you'd get over the first one so quickly." She woofed coldly and leered down at stoney as she passed by. 'The first one' was referring to Ryker clearly, and her tone was far from soft as she spoke of the missing youngster. The waft of strong blood-scent carried by Shadow made her grimace, she quickly brushed past the duo to avoid the smell and made her way towards the entrance. Her daughter's sharp bark obviously caught her attention but Isa stood still for a moment, letting a small sigh escape her muzzle. What is it now? She thought, slowly beginning to step forwards as Aramis' voice carried through the wind. "Isa! Someone has come to speak with you. Your brother, so he says." She hesitated, her expression dropping at the words. Brother? Why wouldβ Ugh, Jonah. A low growl escaped from her muzzle and she finally began to traipse out into the daylight. The thick snow that met her paws stung, causing her sour mood to become even more rancid. Isa! Her mouth opened and she woofed out an icy response before he could speak, "Why are you here? Leave." The words erupted from her mouth, a cold glare settling onto Jonah's blue coat. "Ahaha, always a comedian." Her lips peeled back slowly to reveal her teeth as the male weaseled his way towards her. "I've come to join the pack! I thought you guys could use an extra set of paws around to help feed everyone." She brushed past him coldly, the fur along her back raised from annoyance. "I don't need a thief robbing my pack blind while we sleep, things are hard enough as it is. Leave, Jonah. I won't tell you again." She snarled over her shoulder, gaze settling on Aramis. A figure lurking about at the edge of camp caused her attention to wane. She made note of Slate sneaking away, her eyes lingering on his coat for a mere second before they snapped back to her daughter. Her nose twisted from suspicion. "I'm assuming Jonah isn't the only thing you need to report?" She asked, her gaze narrowing. The rabbit hanging from the other dog's jaws caused her pause. Ah, of course. For the pup... Taking a small step out of the other dog's way, Isa motioned towards the hospital. "Go and feed the brat first. I'd rather you have a clear head when you're speaking to me." She ordered, her voice gruff and hesitant. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Vanadis | Loner | Location: Unclaimed Territory Mentions: Roland(Directly) "I think- Er.. I believe that you'll be able to get up to my level someday, however far away in time that may be." Vanadis's ears pricked as she caught on to the humorous tone that laced Roland's words, her head tilting as she looked at him with her nose wrinkling slightly. "Once I get big, I'm going to challenge you to a race and beat you. Just you wait!" She puffed out, staying still just as Roland crouched down to lift her up. She stood on her paws carefully, afraid for a few moment's she'd lose her balance up so high, but eventually stood more confidently. "Might be some time until your puppy legs can stretch as far as mine, no?" Vanadis huffed, looking at her legs for a few heartbeats. Well, she did have longer legs than most puppies, being half wolf and all, but she was still small. "My dad told me I was growing fast though!! So not too long." She protested in a huff batting at Roland's long legs with a large paw. At the mention of her sire, the alabaster hued puppy looked a little despondent, but it quickly went away when Roland spoke up again. "Go ahead, see if you can smell anything." Oh right, Roland said she could try catching something herself! Vanadis stepped forward, nearly looming over the edge of the truck as she lifted her nose in the air. Her nostrils flared dramatically, almost as if she was trying to show Roland how absolutely serious she was taking her task. The scent of blood clouded her senses for a bit, but she refused to give up, and eventually, another scent wafted past her nose. Her tail stilled behind her and she sniffed a little longer before she peered at Roland expectantly. "I think its another rabbit...?" She said quietly, looking at Roland for any sort of approval. It sounded a bit like the rabbit Roland caught, if not for that blood scent. Deanira | Insurgent Co-Lead | Location: Insurgent Camp Mentions: Synopy, Reo, Likaen, Amina(Directly) "Very well. I won't stop you from coming along. We should appoint someone as our successor in case something happens though. We don't want the pack falling apart if we disappear." Deanira huffed in agreement to Likaen's words, before looking to Synopy expecantly, wanting to see if she'd be coming along or not. "May I join you two? I don't expect you to agree." Deanira's blocky head tilted at the smaller doe's unsure response, coming forward to bump her nose against her cheek reassuringly. "Of course you can come. You're a leader, after all. Amina will take care of camp while we're gone, I'm sure. She's not one to mess with." Deanira said, her voice lowering by her last sentence, tinged with humor to at least lighten the other up. Her head turned to Amina as she went to speak, her ears pricking. Is that what that commotion was a moment ago, I haven't even been home after a hunt a tail-flick yet. At least eat before you go. I left a boar near the center of camp." Deanira looked to the centre of camp, blinking in surprise at the juvenile boar that laid there. She's one hell of a hunter. Deanira thought, blinking in surprise before she turned to Amina. "You caught that by yourself? Well done Amina." She huffed out, but she was sure the beta didn't want any praise. "I wish I could take a bite now, I haven't eaten all day, but Likaen's in so much of a hurry I'm afraid he'd leave without me. Make sue there's some left when I'm back." She added, ears flipping back as her belly growled in protest. Now that she actually thought about food she became aware of her hunger... funny. "The insurgents are getting cocky, what's next attacking you or I? Or, moon forbid, Synopy? Attacking us on their turf is one thing, but coming here and slaughtering our dogs? I'm not normally one for violence, but they are asking for our heads, best show them the fangs that come with it before they forget that we aren't as soft as they seem to think we are." Deanira's teeth bared slightly at the mention of Synopy getting attacked, though it wasn't directed to Amina. "Any insurgent scum who dares to attack her, or anyone of Abolition for that matter, in front of my eyes is getting their throat torn, make no mistake about that. Insurgent's been going over their heads as of late, rest assured that we'll remind them of their place, Amina." Her words were sincere, eyes clouded with determination as she spoke. Abolition was like Deanira's family, she'll do anything to prove to Insurgent that they are not to be messed with. She assumed that the harsh winter months would put an end to the quarrels between Insurgent and Abolition, especially after they came to a truce, but it seemed as though Insurgent has backed out of it. Looking to Likaen waiting by the edge of camp, she let out a sigh. "I must get going, Amina. Keep your senses alert for any signs of Insurgent. We shalln't be too long." She said, dipping her head respectfully to the dane mix, before she backed off, snow crunching underpaw as she reached Likaen. Her head swivled over her shoulder to look at Synopy still further behind, waiting for her to join them. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Koroneis| Insurgent Border| Mentions- Jonah, Slate, Aramis, The poor coyote followed closely behind Aramis, her fur and ears flat. She didn't like the look of that Isa-dog. Tok swooped over Jonah to tweak his ears with his claws, then landed gracefully on her back. She felt better with him there. She kept herself low, hoping not to be noticed. She made a few more peculiar noises at him and he responded quietly. Being| Insurgent Outskirts| Mentions, Bates, Demesu, Luxnas, Stixx Being smiled, keeping his eyes trained on the other dog. Then as Stixx got up and bolted he snarled, racing after them. He stopped on the hay, sniffing. He kept very still. "Well, then, loves." He craned his head around to Luxnas and Bates. "Looks like we're having a bit of fun after all." Being jumped off the hay with a chilling laugh. Artemis| Abolition Outskirts| Mentions- Kardama, Selkie Arty frowned. "Mother never let me meet any other wolves." She said, then turned as she heard another voice. Her eyes landed on a dog roughly her size. "Hullo!" she said, bounding forward. The little wolf smiled. "Your really fluffy!" She sniffed at them cautiously, her expression cheerful. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Synopy | Abolition Co-lead | Abolition Camp ---> Abolition Territory | Mentions: (Directly) Amina, Deanira, Reo, (Indirectly) Likaen "Of course you can come. You're a leader, after all. Amina will take care of camp while we're gone, I'm sure. She's not one to mess with." she nodded at the reply, knowing that someone will take care of camp while the leaders were gone was something that could relieve her stress. "The insurgents are getting cocky, what's next attacking you or I? Or, moon forbid, Synopy? Attacking us on their turf is one thing, but coming here and slaughtering our dogs? I'm not normally one for violence, but they are asking for our heads, best show them the fangs that come with it before they forget that we aren't as soft as they seem to think we are." The thought of her dying? She sometimes couldn't imagine the world without her, or any high rank in specific, it was just obsolete. "Ah... well, I may be a smaller breed on the scale of medium-sized dogs, but I think, I could defend myself." She told Amina, trying to reassure her. Yet Synopy was skeptical in her own words. "Any insurgent scum who dares to attack her, or anyone of Abolition for that matter, in front of my eyes is getting their throat torn, make no mistake about that. Insurgent's been going over their heads as of late, rest assured that we'll remind them of their place, Amina." Synopy nodded at Deanira's words, all Abolition was family to all of them. She'd never allow anyone to get hurt if she had the ability to prevent it. "I must get going, Amina. Keep your senses alert for any signs of Insurgent. We shalln't be too long." And Deanira trotted ahead, a bit slow, waiting for Synopy. "Uh, excuse me Leaders, but if I may. It's quite the timing to ask, but may I fulfill Jade's old Delta role? I consider myself a hard worker, and I trained under her lead many times." Hearing the hound mix speak, she was well into thought. She dearly agreed that, he really did ask at a bad time. "We'll discuss that...I can't exactly promote you to that rank with the situation we're in now." She simply said, knowing that Reo could understand why she didn't give a direct answer. Turning away, "Let's go now." she told Deanira to head foward, following behind the hovawart mix. Her paws shuffling through snow, she had forgotten how either annoying or hard it was to walk in snow. Likaen was far ahead of them already, his figure in the distance as they were catching up. "Ah he sure went ahead didn't he?" she half-joked, even if it wasn't funny. She thought that smiles and laughter were the key to happiness, but in such a stressful situation, she doubt that anyone had the time to laugh at an effortless joke. 0 players like this post! Like? |
