Sinking his sharp teeth into his tongue, a natural scowl made it's way across Amir's face. Clearly, he wasn't being taken very seriously and it enraged him. There was no display of that anger other than his front claws slowly burying into the earth, resisting every urge to claw the annoyed look on Taka's face. He'd return his brother with a similar glare of his own, hardened and angry. All he could imagine was how hard he must be being mocked in the other prince's head. One day, you won't be looking down on me anymore, Taka. Amir would think to himself, head raising. I'll be the one looking down upon you. It was a promise, one that he couldn't guarantee. However, for the sake of his sanity, he had to promise himself.

It was a subtle change, one that if you weren't predisposed to, you couldn't quite see. The redirection of Darker Light's anger from his aunt and uncle went onto himself. Perhaps, in their eyes, he was a fool. Oh, he kmew that's what they all thought. But he had been successful, they simply didn't know it. Now that his mother's anger was now on himself and his littermate, she'd think more rationally rather than risk an altercation when they were, in his eyes, outnumbered.

It had proven to be the correct move as his mother finally gave up the hostility and let go of the other adolescent. One that he hadn't originally seen. Prince Amir's eyes would widen ever so slightly before returning to their half-lidded resting place. However, his original calmness was broken as the sound of a familiar voice entered the clearing. The fur atop of his back rose uneasily. He'd turn slowly, met with the sight of his primal father. A towering, brown male. Though Amir had inherited his mother's golden tone, it was that of his father's dark markings that he inherited. Where his older brother and older sister's dark appearance came from, Amir wasn't quite sure of, but it was a hue that both of his parents were missing. A shaky sigh would escape him as he took a few steps back instinctively. He could feel his breath getting heavier and his vision began to get blurrier.

In an attempt to compose himself, Amir would take in a deep breath. It would come out shaky once again but it was the best he could do. "Father." Amir would greet Lynx, jaw clenching instinctively. "Nice for you to join us." There was a hint of defiance in his voice, one of resentment too. He couldn't stop it before it came out. Now, he was left to face with his own consequences.
