AI art blatantly steals from other artists...frankly I don't think ANY stolen art should be allowed on the site. It definitely should not be sold on here either. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Massive support for this, including AI resources that are not being sold (e.g. CSS or profile pictures). I also wanted to address some of the concerns people have raised on this thread, because I think it's important to be able to debate these topics. First, I've noticed people saying that users should be free to use AI art to express themselves. While I understand the fun of using AI to make a profile picture or write a lion bio, I don't think this excuses the core issue of AI: it's stolen work. If you're using AI to express yourself, you're using unethically-sourced stolen artwork to express yourself. I don't think there's a place for that on Lioden - besides, there are so many better things you could do to express yourself. I've also seen people are also debating over whether this is something Lioden should use its resources on - and personally, I don't think this should be an obstacle to banning AI. The ban might result in a bit more work for the moderators, but this is the same for any rules change. If we let that stop us, no new rules would ever be introduced. Finally, I think the most important part of banning AI on Lioden is the message it sends. Even if mods can't hunt through the site and eliminate every single AI piece, Lioden saying no to AI is a gesture of solidarity towards artists, writers and all sorts of other creators who have been negatively impacted by generative AI. It's also incredibly aligned with Lioden's environmentalist stance - training generative AI consumes an enormous amount of resources. 10 players like this post! Like? |

AI blatant theft as NO ai can be trained without stealing art from artists, there is no "new generation" happening, it's straight up just a program mashing others real works together without permission which is THEFT! Pay an artist, use free resources, picrews, anything BUT ai! Not only does it steal from hardworkers it pollutes the enviroment with a plethora of carbon emissions, ect. If the MODs support people using AI on their platform, makes me wonder, what if they start using AI for the site? Or what if people take the lioden artists work and use it to train ai? Is that fair game? No, im sure nobody wants others to steal their work and mash it with others, we are no different. 3 players like this post! Like? |

I dont really see an issue in posting it and disclosing it as AI. I understand the selling part, but.... eh. it seems like alot of people are getting pressed over a pixelated lion game (not being rude or mean, just puttin in my 2 cents like everyone else.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I absolutely think this needs doing. AI was trained unethically on *all* artists work posted to the internet, its fucking horrific to see people on here *profiting* from it. 3 players like this post! Like? |

@ Cel - AI doesn't "think" of anything. The reason these models exist in the first place is because companies took artists' work WITHOUT PERMISSION and "trained" the model using those art pieces. Huge art platforms opted users into consenting to have their work used for training AI models without their consent. "Training" an AI model basically means breaking each piece apart and rebuilding them in a slightly different pattern. It is NOT original. The art theft has already happened before a lioden user has generated the AI image. THAT is the problem. Trying to explain it, /nm 1 player likes this post! Like? |
