"Ma'am, your lunch is ready." A soft spoken voice jolted Nyezemnoy from her sleep. She asked the servant to repeat what he had just said, which he willingly did. Nyezemnoy went down to the kitchens again, eating in silence, watching as the cooks and kitchen maids giggled and fought during their own lunch break.

"Has Xyuvar awoken?" She asked, once she had finished the hearty stew. None of them could tell her, so Nyezemnoy determined to find out on her own.

Xyuvar was busy making the bed after he climbed out of it while Nyezemnoy trudged back to her room, where he had been asleep. He noticed how late into the day it was, and he immediately began to panic and scramble around, trying to find a hiding place so that Nyezemnoy didn't brutally chastise him for sleeping in. In the homes of many of his masters, it was common for slave drivers and majordomos to punish slaves like him for sleeping in due to perceived laziness on the slave's part, if the master himself/herself didn't punish them first. He was about to crawl under the bed to hide when he heard Nyezemnoy return...

Walking in to find Xyuvar crouched on the floor next to the bed, Nyezemnoy rushed over to him, asking, "Did you lose something? I can help you get it out, if you want. Stuff rolls under that thing all the time, so I'm an expert at fishing them out, if I do say so myself." She offered him a smile.

As Nyezemnoy said that she could help him get something he had dropped out from under the bed, Xyuvar covered his face in fear.
"No... it's not that... milady... I'm... I'm sorry for sleeping in so late..." Xyuvar said fearfully, waiting for a whip or a lashing that woukd never come. His words explained that he was trying to hide from being punished for sleeping in, even though sleeping in was to be expected for someone as scrawny as him.

"Oh, Xyuvar, Xyuvar, Xyuvar! Why would I punish you for sleeping in? I let you sleep in! If I had nwantwd you with me, I would have woken you!" She moved in to hug him,wrapping her arms around his shoulders and drawing him close to her chest.

Xyuvar flushed deep red as Nyezemnoy hugged him from behind, practically smothering his face and body in her enormous belly and cleavage to try and calm him down.

Nyezemnoy released Xyuvar from her grasp. "Now, have you eaten yet? I asked the chefs to save you some breakfast and some lunch - it's midday now. You must be starving. Come, eat something!" Nyezemnoy stood and left the room, pulling Xyuvar along with her.

"O... Okay, milady..." Xyuvar said, before yelping as she pulled him along.

Nyezemnoy plonked herself down at the table. "Here, sit where you want. Just eat what you can," she said softly.

"Yes!" She exclaimed. "There is plenty! This is what the kitched servants generally eat for lunch - actually, it's what everyone eats for lunch." She nudged the bowl of stew towards him, handing him a spoon.

Xyuvar nodded in understanding as he took the bowl of stew, which smelled of shrimp, before starting to eat. His eyes widened in shock at the depth of flavor, and he was soon having seconds and thirds...

Nyezemnoy smiled as Xyuvar happily downed his meal. "There's some dessert, too. We usually only eat dessert at lunch on special occasions, but you're new, so if you're hungry you're welcome to have some."

"Uh... dessert??? What kind of dessert???" Xyuvar asked curiously, surprised that such a thing was allowed.

"Well, we have some tropical fruit - I know that that's the staff's favorite dessert. But we also have an assortment of cakes and tarts, and iced cream."
